Sorry for off topic post
I suppose that the same is for the GT. A thing i didn't know is that Saturn is basically the same car too.

There was a Vauxhall concept a few years ago which looked basically the same as the Sky/GT called the VX Lightning but there were no plans to put it into production:

I dont see a koenigsegg in there which counts for precisely 459 points ;)

Very well done Doug, there is no doubt that you have made more than a brilliant contribution to GilesGuthrie's baby. Infact, I think your it's new step dad.

Chaser_fan, that second Exige photo is awesome, would you mind putting up a larger shot? (And if I'm really cheeky, something good for a 1028x768 desktop...)

chaser_fan - how do you convince your camera to take good photos at night? Mine does this:

Maybe I just need a new camera.

Or maybe its a good camera. Doug bought his because he can "take pictures within a second after it turns on," or something like that. That's why he bought it.

Maybe it's just all the neon lighting in HK?

Yes, there's a lot of ambient light (especially where I usually take photos) and I always rest my camera on something; box, trolley, parking meter, step... (even if it's just pushing against a surface, like a lamppost, with the flash off and the shutter open for second it seems to make the photos look ideal. I didn't have any surface to put the camera on when I shot the Gallardo Spyder though - no time.

Here are two wallpapers. The I had to rest the camera on some rubbish for the 2nd picture, but it came out nice and sharp.

I mainly bought my camera for the fast startup speed too. I can get a shot off in a second, with perfect clarity, it does good night shots and flatters the photgrapher - plus it was pretty cheap. Canon Digital Ixus 70, if you're interested.

if you have a manual mode, maybe tripod or a good ledge too..take a snap lasting a second or two of shutter speed 👍
*edit* nuts beat me to it :P tip still stands!

From what i've seen it looks beautiful, and and night increased tenfold. I'd love to visit there one day. :)

Sorry, didn't see your reply so I PMed you.

Yeah it really is, and even though they look good, most photos don't do the experience justice at all. Plus there's a heap of fantastic cars as there's so much wealth shoehorned into such a tiny place. The views are quickly becoming ruined by the smog that blows over from the vast factories of South China though, so you should visit before that view is obscured for good!

I was - thanks for the info.

The reason for my interest in this particular car and hence my reason for the posting of it here, is not the actual car itself. Granted it is a nice example of a New 911 Turbo, but rather the reason for my posting is for the number plate. Last time the personalised plate "1" sold it sold for approx NZ$750,000 or almost twice as much as the car itself!

Interestingly, the last time I saw this number plate it was mounted to a then new Diablo Roadster.

No probs Doug. Glad to be of assistance. If you're in the market and want something that you can carry without really knowing it's there, then the Ix. 70 is the camera for you. I love the bigger Canons with the full manual controls though, but they're just a little hefty for this car-spotting lark.

and a Porsche 924 GTS (again), Sorry no photo.

I was literally kicking myself today, I couldn't take a picture of a metallic pink Morgan +4 I saw because I was driving. It looked weirdly nice....

And the lady driving it had a beret! And driving goggles!

I second that 👍. I just bought a Canon Ixus 75 and it is the best pocket camera of have ever used. It almost makes me question the need for my DSLR.
