Brilliant spot mate. đź‘Ť the first of the thread,.

May I have the full-size original of the upper one? (1600x1200 or more, preferably :D)

Sure. I have PM'ed you the link to the 1600 pix one. If anyone else wants it, I can PM you the link also. Would rather keep this one for the good users of GTP for the time being.

Holy 🤬!!!!
That must be one of the best christmas present anyone can get in Hong Kong!!!! To receive a 2008 Nissan GT-R before it actually goes on sale, that must be one lucky guys there. (or maybe it went to a dealer, but still lucky) I was hoping to find a GT-R here in Malaysia, but it will be very likely :guilty: So can I have the full size for the upper one as well? :D But I really wish there was a high quality Mine's GT-R wallpaper...... :(

A) Any GT-R is a nice present. Actually, any running-condition car is :P
B) It's already on sale...
C) It was most likely bought by the owner. How many wives get GT-Rs? Or give GT-Rs? I can't see friends giving such a car.

It's the Nissan Press Car I think. Those plates I'm pretty sure are from the Car and Driver or Car Plus magazine in HK (I may be wrong). My friend says it was 'franging' around on Sunday night. I had a feeling if I got up early this morning and headed over to Central HK I would have a chance of seeing it and some other nice cars as the roads are pretty clear on a Christmas morning - Santa was indeed good to me today. A new GT-R sighting certainly makes up for no presents.

Major bonus on the R35 spot! I've only ever seen it in pictures, not even on a stand here in the US. To see it in real life, well, thats a completely different thing...

Awesome job!

Holy Shyt An R35 You Dont Know What I'd Do To See A R34 Gtr Let Alone An R35 :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed:

Yeah it was a cool spot, definately! Here's what else I saw this morning...

(I am using a image resizer that is compressing my photos and making the quality bad, especially on red cars. I will try and sort this out)

- Merc 230SL
- VW Golf GTi (Pimp ze auto)
- Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible
- Maserati Gransport
mixedbag63qf4.jpg

- Ferrari F430
- Ferrari F430
- Ferrari 328 GTS
- Ferrari 360 Spider

- Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
- Ferrari 456M
- Ferrari F355 GTS

- Porsche 996 GT2

That NSX... Ugh. Poor thing.

But I swear to god - if I ever get a Ferrari, it'll be in that shade of blue your Scaglietti and 456M had.

Google agrees:

So it's an NSX-R - though the Type-R was apparently a different car. That hood looks completely out of place though, on a mid-engined car. Unless it's got a fridge up front.

It's been on sale for weeks now in Japan. :odd:

Wait, the fact it has a vent on the hood up front? That's because the radiators for the engines are sometimes located up front to maximise air flow.
Lotus Elise, Ford GT, Ferrari F50 spring to mind.

But it's ugly :(

That one is, I mean. The Elise, GT and F50 integrate it so much better. This one just sticks out - it looks out of place on such a stout front, and with that design.

That NSX-R looks like it could have been aftermarket. The color is a bit bright for New Formula Red. Then again, the sun could have changed the look, or it could have been resprayed.

Just hard to tell these days since it's a complete & utter amazement at how easy it is to turn a NSX into a NSX-R.

Do i see a DB7 in the lower left pic?

DB9 I think. They're not particularly rare though and it was a choice between that or a decent picture of the GT-R (the big picture).

Here's a bigger picture of the NSX with a more faithful rendition of the actual colour (my camera was on 'Vivid' setting originally), as well as a shot of the back if it helps...

EDIT: Hang on, isn't that an Acura badge on the front. They never sold the NSX-R under he Acura name abroad did they?

That doesn't mean a whole lot, changing badges is fairly easy... and the reason why you see so many Honda Integras in America.

Believe it or not, there's an USDM fad in Asia... people over there go crazy for the parts we have here, kinda like we do with theirs.

I just saw a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera on the way into work. Yes, work. I'm working on a public f@#*ing holiday! Just envisioning the stuff I could have seen on the roads today!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

In the shady, neon bathed back streets of Hong Kong the cars are far more rough and ready than my usual offerings...

- Skyline GTS-t
- Lancer Evo IV
- Lancer Evo IX
- Toyota Chaser
mixedbag69zw0.jpg

- Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4

Oh, and that 600 again this time parked up...

Yeah, but I mean, when USDM guys change their cars into JDM-spec, they usually put on the right badges.

So why stick an Acura emblem on a car that was never sold under Acura, let alone America?

Why put a GT-R emblem on a Mustang?

Or a type r sticker on a stock civic?

Ricers.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a ricer (for one, it's got the power and two, it isn't excessively modified), but I do find it interesting someone would replace a more well known badge than another.

Ricers try to make their cars look faster. This dude replaced a Type-R emblem with an Acura emblem. Going a bit backwards from Ricer, imo.

Got that as my wallpaper atm.
