Thanks to everyone who came to my defense here - even *McLaren* who hates me! It's nice to know that at least some of you appreciate the constant effort this takes - even the valet spots. On Saturday I went through three-quarters of a tank of gas at a cost of around $30 to do this, and it would certainly not be as enjoyable if you guys weren't so warm and appreciative! :) 👍

For the record I do not consider this an argument, but merely a discussion, and I believe the group has spoken!

Where on earth did I say anything like that? I've only stated that maybe one of the valets you go to could be what exige is talking about, and that I don't agree that you alone bring an "extensive database of supercar sightings" to GTP.

I respect your time & pictures as much as the next fellow, but do not put words into my mouth....

See folks!! He hates me!!

That heart is for McLaren and whoever started this discussion (can't remember his username at the moment). Love you all, let's get back to the cars! 👍

This looked like a GT2 but I am guessing it probably isn't since something doesn't quite look right on it and it was driven by what appeared to be an 18 year old female with Ugg's, giant ass sunglasses, fake orange tan, and was coming out of Saks 5th Ave. with 8 bags.

You can see by the length of the wording across the back that it is more likely "Carrera" than "GT3". Plus, the rest of the aero kit isn't there, nor the exhaust, nor the wider rear track. But it does have a rear wiper, which the GT3 did not have. So that means it's a 911 Carrera 2/4 with the optional aero kit. The wheels had me for a second, until I realized they were just a cheap spare set for winter tires.

Isn't the point of this thread just to share pictures of the cool cars we've seen on our streets? Surely it doesn't need to turn into slanging match. I'm not sure I agree about the whole 'effort' thing being relevent either. Doug has put loads of effort into getting some of his amazing spots. If I had a car I probably would too - I know all the good places to go but you need a car to get to them. As I don't I have to make do with my legs and the only places to see the nice cars here is on the roads as parking is mostly all underground and under high security, so it's not realistic to find nice cars parked here and there. So my tactic of letting the cars come to me seems pretty fair, as basically they are going from underground car park somewhere to underground car park somewhere else. Anyway, this car was ironically parked on the street last night. Think it's the first Rosso Corsa 612 Scaglietti of the DYSAGT thread.

Cough cough.

I didn't know you didn't have a car!!

Fantastic spot. People don't realize it but the best colors for these cars - by far - are bright yellow and bright red. Depreciation might hurt but they don't wear the muted tones well.

It's just completely unjustifiable to have a car here unless you make serious money. The public transport is probably, actually I'm going to say definately the best in the world and the parking fees, fuel, tax and basic ownership costs of having a car here are astronomical. Of course, if it didn't effect my bank balance I would drive, but right now it's just not worth it.

Thanks Doug! I agree on the 612 comment too. Black is also a colour I could live with though, but is really does look far better in red as you say. I actually like the Scag. even though it's usually branded the ugly duckling of contemporary Ferraris. I definately think it oozes class far more than any Aston or Maserati. In fact, I'm going to post another photo...

There looks to be a pub nearby too as exigeracer appears to be lying, drunk on the road.

With a car like the 612, I believe the best colors suited are Tour de France, Blu Nart, or Argento Nurburgring honestly.

The area is only shady shops like those. Global Cheese is far better than its competitor, Cheese Magic, around the corner. As you can imagine, there are rarely any good cars around this place (the RS4 from a couple pages back was here too though).

I still prefer the lighter tones. Now, I never knew how heavily the 612 Scag is based on this '54 375MM 'Bergman'. You learn something new everyday.

I didn't know that either until you posted it. 👍
BTW, the 375MM in your post is close to Argento Nurburgring. :)

Right, out of slight embarassment at the lack of input from me in the last couple of weeks, I am going to brave the miserable elements and spend my day off looking for some DYSAGT fodder.
