Great spot on the Vanquish, Rue, and on the CLK63 Black Series, Vonie! I'm still surprised we collectively haven't seen more CLK63 Black Series.

Not surprising to see these at a WalMart though. Not in this area at least. Right across the street from WalMart is a housing development, where the cheapest house is probably $400k. There's a few Ferraris and Lamborghinis in there as well.

400k? Ferraris and Lamborghinis? Theres very few super cars in my area and the average house in my county is worth more then a million... :(

Lotus Elite.
Thanks for the car info.👍

Damn, I know I'm late.

So Doug, nice spot on the Pagani eh? Did you spot it on your way to work or something (maybe even near your work place? :D) But wow, there is more expensive cars in that one picture than all your current post right now.

Also, nice spot on the Elite Serge! 👍

Serge, great spot on the Elite. Doug did you get pictures of any of the other stuff at that dealer for kicks?
Thanks guys. :)👍

New Ford Kuga.

I don't get it. Why are Euro Fords so much better than American Fords? It's a friggin' American company! To Ford USA: Import the Mondeo, Kuga, and Euro-spec Focuses now!

We are going to start getting more Euro models over the next couple of years.

Ok i think the name of that thing is just too similar to one of thier older models, the ford cougar. pronounciation is the same so its just gonna confuse people. It does look nice though :)

What a day. I saw a Viper GTS and an Aston DB-friggin-S, and the only thing I managed to take a picture of was a Chrysler Town and Country that someone painted pearlescent purple. Then crashed and replaced the wrecked sliding door with one from a Dodge Caravan rather than another Town & Country.

This is a preview, but today I shot over 300 photos and this was probably my favorite. Can you guess why?

You live in Marin County, one of the cool car hubs of the world. If you're not seeing exotics, it's on you, not the people in Marin. Believe me, there's a reason Silicon Valley Auto Group has a Veyron in stock and that reason is Marin County. There's a McLaren F1 registered up there for God's sake!

Hmm, Jeep Commanders are getting pretty rare.

Ugh. No. It's the Ferrari and the Lotus. Gosh you guys are dense sometimes.

Gutted to not have pics, but other the last two days:

Corvette C5 Convertible (Red)
Corvette C6 Convertible (Also Red)
Jensen Interceptor MK III (Also Red)
XJS Convertible (Beige)
Something that looked like a 195X Bentley Continental R but with an Austin-Healey front :odd:
Two Ford (I think) Hotrods.

All the cars were going southbound, so I think maybe they were going to the London Motor Show.

When I lived in Marin I don't remember seeing a ton of exotics. However, the Ferrari dealer in town could always make up for that.

Nor would you likely. As I'm sure you know, while it's a stereotype, but in general it's rather safe to say that while Marin has some of the wealthiest residents in the Bay Area... including a famous would-be Jedi, however, unlike their Beverley Hills counterparts, in general they are not big on new exotics or other obvious status symbols. Like their wine, in general they like their cars aged and rare. Occasionally bringing them out of their stables and running around the PCH-Marshall-Pt. Reyes Loop. 👍

Besides Sears Point/Infineon and Laguna Seca, you can also find them making weekend runs along Skyline Blvd... not the Skyline in the Oakland/Piedmont Hills, but the one that twists and turns along the ridge leading from South San Francisco to Half Moon Bay... just watch out for all the Kenny Roberts/Valentino Rossi wannabees! :)

I'd certainly include it in any 101 Roads To Ride Before You Die list. 👍

To me, SF is in the top five greatest car cities in the USA. Marin probably less so, but the trip across the bay will always yield things. Palo Alto anyone?

I'm not close to Silicon Valley.... Yes there are tons of rich people but 90% of them keep them in there garage.

Yes SF is absolutely amazing no doubt, not only in the exotic scene but you see a lot of really nicely done imports. Once I get a car hopefully in December I'll be taking regular cruises to SF. But from what I remember DC was better then SF, but heh who knows. Also I think San Diego is better then SF. You can literally walk outside and bam there a 355 and a 360 parked at the shopping center down the street.

Mill Valley is also the host of a billion rich people, I passed through there everyday on my way home from summer classes, not really much shows up there. Mostly just Mercedes, Beemers, and Audi's laying around. Oh yeah a lot of Volvo's too.

When my sister gets back from vacation with my camera I'll go on a all day bike ride or something or maybe take the bus to the city with a friend and see what I can come up with.

Ah, yes, I remember living in San Diego (619, baby!) way back before elementary school. We had these stylish iron bars on our windows, and I think there was a gang that hung out down the street. No Ferraris though.

Parked like a true exotic/luxury car owner...

Rolls Royce Silver Spirit MK II(?)

...But would you rather have the Accord?

Let me get your pipe and slippers... :P

Although that's kind of a bunk point against the Roller...

  • E) None of the above. :)
But if I had to own either car, I certainly would not be taking up two spaces to "protect it". Besides, which is less expensive, to repair a minor ding or a key scratch through all side panels?

I certainly wouldn't risk it, or even be rude and take up two spaces in a crowded lot. I either park far enough away that there are plenty of empty spaces, park at the end of an aisle where I can put my car farthest away from the only adjacent space... or use an every day car for trips to busy parking lots. 👍
