I've had people tell me to go away, I've even had people telling me there is no way I could do that just because I love cars, that Isurelly was getting paid for walking around shooting random cars.

But come on, the car is cool and if its opened and you can see the tunbing, the owner SHOULD understand that you get closer to take a look, it happened to me today with a 55 Chevy Sedan Delivery Street rod I just happened to spot; I booked it for the magazine :D

Right.... I didn't practically saw anything good today, but count this as a spot. :D

Merc CLK-DTM in matte black.
(but I didn't get to go inside. Didn't have enough time and the fact that I had no business going inside.... :()

Also, some not worthy mentioned of some spots:
2 SMART's (a ForTwo and a ForTwo Cabrio. Not really rare to me)
1 BMW M5 (same place as the CLK)
1 Merc CLS (forgot what model, same place as above)
several Merc SL's
A Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R

Thats pretty much it. :guilty:

Today's spots in irvine include a Gumpert Apollo, Bugatti Veyron, Lambo LP560 and over 20 other lambos, an antieros roadster, shelby supersnake, and more. I have no space on my camera anymore :D

$100 says that Apollo was at European Touch. ;)

It was at the Mazda Campus, at 8.30 this morning, near the spectrum, it was black, and damn awesome, I'll post my pics up when I get home, its annoying not being able to post them now 👎👍

Ah, so you made it to Cars & Coffee, then. 👍

Yep

:D
It was a Lambo special, but I guess you're going to know that. The veyron was blue and white, also awesome. I was surprised there wasn't any Miuras at all, and thought there was a chance of a Reventon turning up if ayn of them get driven! I've got the video of all the lamborghini's leaving the lot alot with a heavy dose of the right foot. The lead driver stated to everyone no burnouts, dont go throttle happy and not too fast (there were going on a roadtrip) so he comes out first, floors it and leaves a curved number 11 about 4 inches thick of rubber  Fantastic meet, I'll reccomend to everyone.

Alright, so techincally this qualifies for DYSAGT legitimacy; it's a valet for a nice hotel. In one photograph, I can show a Maserati Gran Turismo, Maserati Gransport and 2 599s.

crop for clarity (that's relative):

It's not really that good of a spot, there'll always be nice cars at crazy high class valets. I didn't try anything fancy with the 599 out front as I already shot a Gallardo there a couple weeks ago.

M3 I shot while riding my bike (this is very discouraged - a car has far more protection and safety in the event of a crash; a bicycle does not):

This 997 was garnished with all sorts of CF goodies.

Right as I took the shot, another black 997 Turbo pulled up behind and when the light went green, all three of us played. Obviously I'd get destroyed on the open road, but in your everyday city environment, I'm faster than car traffic. I actually also hit a pigeon not too long after this picture was taken.

I made a little effort to get some nice snaps of this beaut! More photos of it in my photography thread shortly.

Muz great spot on the CLK DTM!

Conti GT (Wouldn't usually take a pic, but I never knew they had an automatic spoiler)

Wao, just wao, I've been away travelling for a few weeks, and I'm amazed at what I'm seeing on this thread over that period. Fantastic photos exigeracer, and it's great to see your photography thread filling up with quality pics as expected.

Anyway, I've seen some pretty cool cars on my travels lately around the country (south east UK), but it's on my recent trip to Nottingham visiting an old friend of mine, I spotted this baby in his apartment parking lot. I spent over half an hour there with my camera. I'll stop typing and let you judge for yourselves:

Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione

This is by far the best condition one I've seen over the years, note the number plate, this is one serious owner. I've left a note to the owner to inform him of my indulgence in his toy, and to offer him all the photos I've taken of his car, but still waiting to hear a reply...

Anyway, I've got more photos of this baby in my deviantART gallery, you can access it through my signature.

you already know what I think of the 1953 Chevy pictures dude, they are incredible. The black CFed 997 turbo is also cool car-wise, but the show is stolen by the white Integrale; if you spent half an hour in there, how in hell come we only have one picture? post the 50 or so you were able to take!!!!

And Rue, i'e been way too busy shooting cars lately, but I'll try to come tomorrow at about... well, at about 6 am over there I dunno >.< I have to be here anywa, at about 8:00 to 9:00 pm over here... how much would that be?

Thanks, and there is no arguing anything there, those Delta Integrale shots are ridiculously good. For a car, it's perfect, the wheels, the condition... For photography, it's just as amazing. The first shot blew me away.

Dac, what lens did you use for the last shot? That's a lot of depth for f/5, even though it's at 11mm.

Same here. Beautiful car, beautiful photo. The contrasting colors of the car and the garage are great.

Oh, and anyone know how rare Golf IV Cabrio's are? I saw one for the first time today.

Muz great spot on the CLK DTM!

+1

If it ain't yellow and mid-engined this crowd doesn't go crazy but the CLK DTM is among the better spots in this thread, considering how rare they are. I'd love to see one on the roads. Good spot MM.

Conti GT (Wouldn't usually take a pic, but I never knew they had an automatic spoiler)

Cool! I've never seen it up before except while at work... guess that just means the female owners rarely have occaision to top 70mph... hehehe

Thanks. 👍

As for the spots, exigeracer's Chevy and R8 shots looks splendid as always, and Dac's Lancia shot ain't too bad either..... 👍

Do you know how the accident happened? What's that in front? 3 series?

How?

Was in response to Famine's post

We saw the E-Type a little earlier. He was driving wholly sensibly and, as the plate suggests, was just an old guy out enjoying the sunshine in his old car.

About 15 minutes later, a police car came the other way, on blues and twos, and I found a safe place to get out of his way.

About 30 minutes later, on our way back, the same police car greeted us just short of this scene. It seems as if, somehow, the Clio was on the wrong side of the road (we've come up with three options: 1 He failed to negotiate a left turning at a T-junction; 2 He was too busy waving to his mates at the side of the road and let the car wander; 3 He was overtaking). It looks like both cars braked - Clio has ABS, so no skid marks - and the Jaguar has turned towards the kerb to avoid him. Front-right of the E-Type met the entire front end of the Clio, and that kid is looking at the insurance claim of ever.

I'm gonna say young Clio driver attempts to overtake on a long blind left-bend. Though it doesn't look like he even attempted to get back his side :odd:

Dac_Xint That first photo is truly astounding.
exigeracer Those 2 photos of the Chev, sweet.

That is not completely true. I really liked the CLK DTM shots. I think it is a wonderful car and I would definitely like to drive one. (Maybe I should post more often on the cars I like, though, that would be very, very often).

And wonderful shots of the Delta! 👍

[in joke]
Was there a toilet block nearby exerting a gravitational pull on the Clio?
[/in joke]

Great spot on the CLK-DTM Muza.👍
Great spot and verry nice pics of the Lancia Delta Dac Xint.👍

That's because Roy & another FChatter weren't there. You wouldn't have seen a Reventon, but you might have caught either a Diablo GT or SE30 between the 2. But, you should have still been able to see another rare Lamborghini. Was a black LP640 Versace there?
