If it ain't yellow and mid-engined this crowd doesn't go crazy but the CLK DTM is among the better spots in this thread, considering how rare they are. I'd love to see one on the roads. Good spot MM.

Cool! I've never seen it up before except while at work... guess that just means the female owners rarely have occaision to top 70mph... hehehe

Hmm, yellow and mid-engined huh? While i was at Santa Pod's Mopar Euronats there was a car there that fits that description, it wasnt participating at the time and it certainly wasnt an american muscle car. Now what was it again....Ultima something im sure..... :D i'll post pics when i've finished uploading all 750 of them...

On the way home i also saw, for the first time, a Conti GT with the spoiler up, i thought maybe it was something they put on the Speed, but as we've only recently found out it appears to be a standard thing....

Thanks, and there is no arguing anything there, those Delta Integrale shots are ridiculously good. For a car, it's perfect, the wheels, the condition... For photography, it's just as amazing. The first shot blew me away.

Dac, what lens did you use for the last shot? That's a lot of depth for f/5, even though it's at 11mm.

First of all, thanks to all who enjoyed my contribution, and I'm grateful to all those comments. Makes me all fuzzy and warm inside :dopey:

Anyway, that last photo was taken with a Canon EFS 10-22mm lens, I achieved that depth through post processing (yes, sorry if that disappoints you all, but it's kind of what I do for a living, and almost no automotive photos nowadays aren't post processed) The technique I used is a mimic of the "tilt shift" technique, which makes everything look like little miniature toys. Here's a few examples I made:

Also, the Delta photos were taken in RAW, so I could adjust the colour tone and contrast around without losing the lovely details and highlights!

That's because Roy & another FChatter weren't there. You wouldn't have seen a Reventon, but you might have caught either a Diablo GT or SE30 between the 2. But, you should have still been able to see another rare Lamborghini. Was a black LP640 Versace there?

Yes, I heard there was one yesterday but never caught it, and even more annoyingly, there WAS a yellow GTR Diablo but I didnt take any pics before it left really early :(

However I may have just seen the Versace down at newport beach but it was rather quick. At least 5 of the cars from yesterday I saw today, including a superformance Daytona Coupe.

that kid is looking at the insurance claim of ever.

What are E-types worth in the UK? Was that one a V12? Here even the nicest ones aren't worth more than a decent Mercedes so I'd be surprised if the claim was really THAT bad.

Vash
That is not completely true. I really liked the CLK DTM shots.

Well you have an appreciation of cars that runs a bit deeper than some. :)

beautiful photo 👍
any chance to get it as a wallpaper size?

Thanks.

Let me know if you need it bigger.

Ah yes tilt/shift. That explains it. I know how much post goes into a good photo, so it doesn't bother me one bit.

If you were a teenager, and you caused a wreck that damaged a decent Mercedes, I'd think they would probably make an example out of you.

If I'm thinking of the right guy, that wasn't a GTR, just a Diablo with a GTR wing, and possibly rear bumper.
But, looking through the photos, there wasn't only the red SE30, but there was a 2nd SE30 in 30 Purple, joined by a LP560-4, black Versace Coupe, a Fisker, & 3 GT-Rs.

So, despite there being an incredibly large amount of Japanese cars for a change, I'd say the show was pretty successful in terms of what showed up.

A 30 Purple SE30 is an incredible sight to behold. One of my four all-time cars... VERY few in the States (I heard < 20... you'd probably know better than me, Rick)

I'll have to check, but I think we have 25 on our side of the pond. I also know we have a couple Jotas in the States as well. A fellow on FChat (Roy) had a potential Jota sale, but I don't think it went through. Besides that, #10, a yellow model, has been here in Texas for years down in the Houston area, along with a real Diablo GT owned by some lawyer.

But, if you know Kane00 on FChat, he has a SE30 as well.

I saw a HHR SS today, it was black and moving fast, didn't know if they were out yet. I also wish I had my camera with me when I went to the giants game on Friday as I saw 2 V8 Vantage's on the Golden Gate bridge, followed by a F430, and a 360. And today saw a white 98' Supra TT, and a red 92' Viper... But a friend of mine and I decided that we will take a bus this weekend to the city and spend a day walking around with are camera's and hopefully get some good spots.

The guy who most recently bought a 30 Purple SE30 and I chatted privately about it quite a bit. Don't know his username offhand; he's in SoCal. I remember Roy Cats had a red one, but it sold if I recall correctly. I thought the number tossed around was 19 30 Purple cars in the USA, but 25 works too. Incredibly rare either way

There might be 19 30 Purple colored cars then, & 6 other ones, which isn't hard to believe. But I know we have 2 red ones stateside, and I think the one Roy sold might have been the same one at C&C.

Well this one counts in my book, it was at a show, but he wasnt participating, and i didnt see it go down the drag strip so i assume he was just visiting.
Something yellow and mid-engined huh?

2nd one i've seen and only the first i've managed to photograph, used my new 10-20mm for around 3/4 of the show, even with it i couldnt get a full front on view because of the hedge and how wide it was!

Ferrari 612.First time I saw one.
There was a kid (8,9 year old)who asked me if it was a beautifull Ferrari, and I said yes and then he said ,it's my dad's car ,he baught it not long ago.

Cayman. You can see it in the first Ferrari picture.

BMW M cabrio or BMW cabrio with M badge.

Ford Probe.
Maybe not rare, but I saw only 2 of these.

lmao, I bet he gets bullied in school. "Your dad bought the ugly* Ferrari!"

*I actually quite like it.

Rick and Doug, I have the photos of the two SE30'S, and it turns out I have the photos of the semi GTR diablo.
Bondy, is the other GTR you mentioned the one in Daventry? I could go find it and get a pic if you want :D

rack up an oldie spotter (wish I'd had my camera-phone at the time)

I had to pick my jaw up off the floor this morning while running my crew to work. round headlights are very rare around here, which usually means something below the fifties. I thought someone was driving around a hotrod at 6:30 in the morning...untill it got closer

good God, it was a bone stock late 20's Model T!! it had a considerable line behind it, obviously.

OK... I'm here to make up for my mistaken identity of the "Black Pearl" with an even more rare ship (and in an odd twist of fate, has apparently made an appearence in both Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and At World's End) :)

Replica of the infamous H.M.S. Bounty (1784). Here is what Wiki has to say about it:

MGM commissioned a replica of Bounty for their 1962 film, named the Bounty II. This vessel was built to the original plans and in the traditional manner in a shipyard in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. However, all the dimensions were increased by approximately one third to accommodate the large 70 mm cameras used. Though the ship was scheduled to be burned at the end of the film, Marlon Brando threatened to walk off the set, so MGM kept this vessel in service. When Ted Turner bought MGM he used this vessel for entertaining. Eventually MGM donated the vessel to a charity.

Although lack of expensive maintenance caused the vessel to lose her United States Coast Guard license for a time, Tall Ship Bounty was restored, initially at the Boothbay Harbor Shipyard in 2002, with restoration of the vessel's bottom planking. Moored in its winter home in St. Petersburg, Florida, it again became available for charter, excursions, sail-training, and movies (most recently in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and the adult film Pirates). In April 2006, the Bounty again arrived in Boothbay Harbor for further renovation, a refurbishing of the ship's front end, and topside decking. Following this renovation, the Bounty is scheduled to repeat the famous voyage of the original Bounty.

On 9 August 2007, the Bounty made an unscheduled stop at Derry, Northern Ireland. The ship has just completed a $3m restoration and is making a seven week UK tour prior to embarking on a world tour via South Africa and New Zealand to Pitcairn and Tahiti. The UK tour begins with her arrival at the birthplace of mutiny leader Fletcher Christian in Maryport, Cumbria, at midday on Tuesday 14 August 2007. The ship was about three days ahead of schedule which is why it sought out Derry for a 'quiet' stopover before completing the journey to Maryport. On 23 August 2007 the ship docked in Torquay, Devon, for several days
