Damn you and your R8s. I have yet to see one around here, although, my guess is that one will show up for the cruise at the end of the month.

I'm going down to Denver for a Rockies vs Nationals game tomorrow (my brother's visiting, so the family's all going). Hopefully I'll atleast see an F430.

Then there was this, I have no idea what it is and I assumed it was a kit car until I saw it had an M plate on it meaning it belongs to a manufacture of some sort. I don't really know, any help would be appreciated. It looks very crude.

Well at first I thought it looks like a riced up Ascari KZ1, but I think it just looks too different. I'll try to look for an answer soon. Judging from the front badge, looks like the manufacturer starts with the name "A". ;)

i feel like i am very unfortunate. yet ANOTHER nice car has slipped through my grasp to be left only as a memory. this time it was a v8 vantage convertible. i dont see these things all the time like some people, so while i only saw this going the other direction on the highway, its certainly impressive to me!

i apologize for my lack of pics. but these spots with no pictures and not even adequate time for me to appreciate them are getting old! and who else to share with? i figure at least you guys will care more than, well, pretty much anyone i know.

When downtown, hit Larimer Street, Blake Street, Market Street, Wazee Street, and Wynkoop Street between 14th and 18th. The hot spots especially are:

- restaurant at the east corner of 17th & Wynkoop (across from the train station)
- restaurant at the west corner of 18th & Wazee
- Ruth's Chris valet at the west corner of 16th & Market
- Larimer Square (between 14th and 15th on Larimer)
- the Westin valet (south corner of 17th and Lawrence)

No guarantees though. I hit all these places tonight and didn't see anything. But we can't forget less than three months ago...

If you can make it to Cherry Creek North (1st & University) you're pretty much guaranteed a sighting.

Decently rare spot, a Maserati GranSport Spyder. Car looked stunning in black. I was hoping it was one of those rare editions but as far as I can tell it's just a normal GranSport with a roof made of shirts.

This was parked next to it so I felt that I should snag a photo, I've seen this Z8 before in the same spot but I felt like I was neglecting it by not shooting it. Funny enough both cars were parked at a Wallgreen's drug store.

harry[/b], I didn't even get out of the car.

I hear you. It's not that these cars are any less interesting, but if all I can do is take a photo.... I'm just asking for a little more variety, is all.

Now if someone asked if I wanted to drive one....

Heh. ACR FTW.

The ever common Bentley Conti GT:
P7240145.jpg

Am I the only one who noticed something daft about that exhaust? :odd: How is that an improvement, either for performance or aesthetics?

I'm sorry, but what is that? Am I the only one who noticed the 50's Ferrari F1 car? Or am I the only one who doesn't know it's a replica....

However, I did notice a few things on my own:

Aston Martin DB9 Volante

For some reason, I haven't seen much recently, so this and the next find are just to make me feel better. And to put my camera to use.

Maserati Spyder

See? Both from Miller Motorcars, too, my favorite dealership. :sly:

Cadillac XLR-V

A Cadillac rarer than some Aston Martin's and Bentley's. When was the last time you could say that? 70 years? More? Not quite for the same reason, though. I still like the XLR, though, and the -V just makes it a little more interesting.

Dodge Caliber SRT-4

I thought I'd be first with this, but someone beat me to it. For a long while, though, I thought this car was cancelled. One could only hope.

Ducati 916

Not sure why bikes are attracting my attention. I'll never ride one. Too agoraphobic at high speed. Like more than 20MPH. Starting to appreciate bikes, though. Yay, me.

Ferrari 355 GTB

Just in case there was any question as to what model that was.

Ford Mustang Mach 1

Another rare-for-good-reason vehickel. The only good thing about it was the name and unique paint.

Porsche 928 S1

Sometimes, you just gotta say, what the f....

The only notable cars I saw on the way to Denver were an Evo X, and a Callaway C6 on I-25 going into the city (it's white, I think with red on the hood; maybe you've seen it, Doug?). It passed us too quickly to get my camera ready. And Coors Field is right by the freeway, so we didn't drive around town at all; I doubt my dad would have cruised the streets just so I could go car spotting anyway. I'll keep those streets in mind next time I go down there by myself though, thanks.

Dodge Challenger SRT-8.

It literally drove down my block, turned around, and went down the road. I had my camera at the time, but seeing it one hundred times in print and on the 'net sort of took away the visual oomph of looking at it.

I guess this is my first photographic contribution to this thread; sorry about all the grain, I didn't realize the camera zoom was on 35mm at the time, so this had to do. Not to mention this was out of the dirt and glare of my front windshield...

Oh yeah, I saw two of those today too, one in black and one orange, but they were on the back of delivery trucks, so I don't think that counts. I still think it's cool to see them though.

Yeah!! Twice recently. I don't photograph stuff like that but I definitely noticed it. Figured it was just a modded Z06.

That's a DB7 Vantage Volante, the one with the V12 instead of the supercharged I6... God AM's names are redundant.

It has to be a replica, a scaled down replica at that. It has headlights!

You sure?? It does not have Vantage wheels

I'm sure it's a Vantage, it has the huge foglights. Wheels look to me like they're Vantage wheels...

For comparison's sake:

IMO it looked way better without the foglights.

nice street rod, 1963; the Cadoo is a 61.

post! long time I have not.

Bugs, the ragtops are converted... erm, obviously.

This one has a story: IT WAS GOING TO BE MINE! but the dude that beat me to buy it added the stuff you see here, including the stupid side pipes and horrid wheels... 1970 Coronet... I'll post pictures as I found it and tell you the story about it later... the damn thing is white now, and is being destroyed with stupid compostures. poor car, it was in such a good shape when I found it...

The obligatory rice, not that much this time, just a Z24:

It's sad to see all those broken cars, and amazing what people will do to their cars there :odd:

I always enjoy seeing the cars in your posts though, keep it up 👍

It's not exactly an isolated phenomenon, some people have these wonderful, wonderful cars and neglect them until they just kinda disintegrate. It's depressing really.

Nah these are Vantage wheels:

You're right though - it is a Vantage. My mistake!
