After a quick google:

make of it what you will, but I think it might be a fake guys.

Are they possibly planning an M version? Not only is the diffuser and exhaust surround camoflagued but there appears to be some covering over where they would put the traditional M intake just behind the front wheel well.

Does This Answer Your Question?

The BMW X6M (as they're calling it) will have a twin-turbocharged V8 and heavily modified AWD systems based on what the "truck" (?) already has. No word on power figures, would be safe to say "a lot," but kinda disappointing that they're doing it to the somewhat awkward X6 instead of the slightly more bearable X5.

I was thinking the same thing. I did my research on the production X6 and it only has dual exhaust- as opposed to the twin dual exaust on the one I saw. Also, the diffuser looks different and the side scoop hints at a bigger engine option! I hate to hog up this thread- but I zoomed a picture in on my camera and this is a bit better.

Shows the details better along with the side scoop. Any ideas of a suitable engine for an M version? -kevin

And the BMW badge has been removed or concealed too. It's definatley a mule for some project BMW have up their sleeve. IMO it would be for the X6M. Put a watermark on it and send it to Autoexpress or Autoblog or something.

EDIT: After watching above vid it's safe to say it's definately the test-mule for the X6M. Great spot!!!

not the new passat but rather the VW CC -- renamed. That's definitely on the site & I've seen some in the showrooms and on the road...

Oh. Well, fine. :indiff:

Was this New Years Eve Day? I was driving west on 287 at 10 that morning and it was hairy. Very hairy.

Actually, it was December 19th. One foot of snow, on average, across most of New England.

Was there ever a Diablo with a body-colored B-pillar??? That's the dead giveaway for me...

Only the SE30, which this is not.

The video clearly states they are working on both X5M and X6M. They've obviously done some work on the X6M, which was also always marketed as a sports-coupe-thing, so perhaps that will be first. The X5 doesn't need the sales boost the X6 does. I remember some time ago, when the X5 4.6is came out, that BMW stated they would never do an M version of the X5. The reasons were along the lines of "M is a special brand, reserved only for sedans and coupes". This time, however, it appears marketing has got the better of engineering.

I'm still waiting for my M7. Or if we're lucky they'll do a M8. Then the jokes will never end.

SE30 also had black B-pillar

The VT roadsters had a body colored B-pillar but it was not a functional pillar and of course the shown vehicle is not a roadster.

Great post Cano. Very interesting. It's cool seeing super cars and all but after a while it is the same every time. Those cars are different though. I rarely see them here. I was never really into classic cars but now I see why some people are.

Just looking at the wheels, it's easy to tell it's fake... The fronts are sunken in so far, they must be what, 6 or 7 inches wide? And the taillights should be completely red instead of the two circles that were on the facelifted model with exposed 300ZX headlights.

Thanks for the input everyone, the Diablo Picture is several years old and I cant even remember the car myself now, all I have left are those blurry pics… but yeah, I also think it is a fake, a Diablo here is like a dog on the moon… oh, wait…

And thanks for the comments on the rust buckets, I’ll post more later, Im editing some right now.

And Cyborg, go get those cars!!! Sounds intresting.

In the Diablo link I posted, I was referring to the yellow track/race car, which is now locked for me for some reason (like I said, I know it's not the same as Cano's spot, it was just to show that the combo exists). The B-pillar was clearly yellow. I just want to make that clear after Doug's comment on it being black.

Here's that car, Cano. It's a Sedanette, right? At least it's potentially going to be restored; it's at the same auto upholstery place I spotted the restored El Camino at a while back. You can see the Chevelle in the background too, but it was boxed in so I couldn't get a good shot. I'll keep trying though.

nah, not a Sedanette at all, it is a 1951-52 hardtop or styleline, a Sedanette looks like this from the rear:

still, cool car, has potential.

you owe me a Chevelle dude (:

Dont even think about saying it's not on the street, this is worth a post. :)

I know everybody hates seeing pictures of this car but I'm putting it up anyways because he put some new rims on it and painted the brake calipers blue to match the car
