All this awesomeness has inspired me to spot stuff, its been a week already :0
First off, this square-as-a-fridge and absolutely pristine 1982 Dodge Magnum, a Mexico only hi-performance (for the time) offering that replaced our beloved Super Bees, it had a 230 hp 360 inch engine and I think it could only be had with an auto, this one was straight as heck, very well restored!
Whoa, check this out, 1964 Thunderbird!!! These cars are outlandishly rare in Mexico, as this was the last year of the T-Bird in here, and it was extremely expensive so very few were sold, I was astonished, check out the shape of the car, it’s practically new!! All it needs are wheelcovers and flames and snap, a cool car.
But! As if that were’nt enough, check out the little DKW behind it! If the T-bird is rare, the DKW may be the only one left around that has not turned into a cloud of rust, these little creepers had a rear engine layout and were extremely rare even when they were sold here, in fact I did not know what it was until I asked my dad. It was pretty rotten, it would need a ton of labor and money to bring it back, but it would sure be unique.
Another view of it, without a car blocking the rear, so you can see the grille for the tiny engine:
No, it is not the same oval window VW that I posted in my last post, this one is a ragtop, check out the sunroof!
No, we aren’t looking at the mid-80s Dart, but the 40s car behind it, I think it’s a Chevrolet, but I don’t really know…
Yeah, it’s a 71| Challenger, yeah, its abandoned, and yes, it was an R/T, plum crazy car with a transplanted 360 now, I had tried to buy this car about seven years ago when it lived near my work, to no avail; then it disappeared; I found it one or two years later in this shape, which was extremely sad… if It was with me, it would have a much better home. Its not for sale now, nor it will be, or so I was told. Automatic. I hate this people. Its one of the rarest cars I have ever stumbled upon because Challengers were not sold here and are highly sought-after (like everywhere else) and because it was a real R/T.
Cute duotone Fiatl 1100; how to tell it’s a Fiat and not its Datsun sibling? Suicide doors tell the tale; it was in pretty good shape and the two tone paint gave it interest, it only lacks its tiny wheels covers
1966 Mustang 289 with immobilizers in its Cragar-laden tires, I think the owner put them in there to avoid car stealing, but it was strange indeed. Automatic.
1963 Chevy Impala four door, pretty rare here, Impala sales were dismal, specially in the early years of the model; it wears false Cragars and is ripe for a lowrider treatment, or a scalloped traditional kustom.
MATADORRRRRR! A friend gave me these, he took them with his cellphone but it’s OK, Rambler Matador with a big-ass inline six and a 55 Chevy bel air hood jet trim… I know I am weird, but am I the only one that thinks these cars look awesome, even if they are complete turds? We need more of these cars turned into something intresting.
I don’t remember if this is a repost, but what the heck. When I bought the XTI I went to my roof to practice panning shots because I wasn’t used to pan without a stabilized lens, and I caught some intresting stuff including this blingey Chevy pickup with gigantic chrome wheels. Yeah, the picture sucks, leave me alone.
This also flew by… just check out the shape of this thing, I cant even understand how that would be legal… or safe. I love its windows.
Porsche Cayman S entering the editorial that makes the magazines for which I work.. Someone’s got money.
Abandoned Malibu drag style complete with Cragars in fat-ass rear rubber, rollcage inside and that’s it, really, I don’t know nothing else about the car, one day it popper near work and was there for a week but nobody apparently knew who had brought it, and then it was gone. Cool car tough.
