As hideous as the Vector is its an extremely rare car and as wacko as any supercar should be. :) Great spot even at a meet 👍

Love the look on the face of the guy on the left in the last Vector pic!

I was there in August and didnt catch the Vector, Got the Apollo S and Veyron though :D

How is the Vector hideous?..
Hm well of course I could've missed the LP and ACR..
And damn.. that was actually Vector himself? I was wondering.. but didn't try to talk to him ):
oh well.

If the one-of-a-kind WX-3 (or WX-3R) doesn't fancy your tastes, the more "re-fined" shape of the M12 may be more to your liking.

Personally, I far preffered the original Vector W2. I think the angular lines suit this type of car far more than going with curves and swoops. Also wasn't the original (much like the Reventon) a nod to fighter planes of the time? It had the switchgear out of an F-15 or something IIRC.

Still, massive respect to the founder. How cool would it be to design, build and drive your personal fantasy car?!

Apparently, enough so that when he got bought out and fired, he filed enough law suits so that nobody could build his car again. Of course, the Megatech M12's design was just changed enough to get away with it.

As for the fighter jet influence, yeah, the W2/W8 was designed a bit like a fighter jet, though this was probably coincidence to Lamborghini designing the Diablo with a few cues from a jet.

How is the Vector hideous?..

No no no no no no no no.

I can't explain just how wrong this post is. Oh my lord.

I think some people around here forget about a little thing called "personal opinion". Personally, I think it's hideous. The lines are all over the place, it's badly proportioned, and the wheels are what wheels in 80s movies about the future looked like. There are so many air scoops dotted about that it looks like swiss cheese, which incidentally also looks like the inspiration behind the wedged shape it has.

I also don't like Radiohead, Margherita pizzas or public transport. Humankind is a rich tapestry ;)

yay Vector, but I demand a picture of the Pantera and full pic covergae of the event, seems there were some cool cars.

I have pics of the Pantera as well. When I get a chance I'll dig through and upload them.

As for other captured sightings from Cars & Coffee and Donut Derelicts, I posted a few of them in the following areas:

Enjoy these for now, but I have others as well. 👍

didn't even know there was an XC60 :dunce: looks cool though, sort of a GLK competitor I imagine

Pretty much, although we won't get the GLK for at least a year, as far as I can remember.

The XC60 is supposed to be a very good "family" SUV again, just like the larger XC90. Not particularly sporting like an X3 or Audi Q5, but with a great interior.

Just drove past the Mazda dealership on the way home tonight, had no idea that the 2010 Mazda 3's are out already? They had a bunch of them lined up.
