Yeah get some links. Usually when you make thumbnails like those, they are linked to the fullsize picture so you can, well, see what's in the picture! ;)

In America, those were sold as the Mercury Capri. I was never fond of the rear, but I think the front end looks a lot better than our Mustangs.

Looks like 4"-6" Skyjacker lift, 35" tires, Warn bumpers, Hi-Lift, Bushwacker flares, custom roof rack with 6 Hella lights, and of course a Warn winch. Not a fan of the paint job though. Oh, and there's no snorkel. ;)

yeah, I know it was a Capri in US, here they were Rustangs, there was even a Mexico-only SVO with 351 heads in the 302, incredibly rare and quite pointless.

And yeah, no snorkel in the pics :/ but I'm sure it had one the day I saw it all muddy, I remember it because it was gigantic.

Well if it was installed after you took those pics, then it would make sense.

I'm not usually one to go cruising the main strip on Friday/Saturday nights, but I decided to tonight and damn do I wish I had brought my camera :ouch:. There was a whole pack of prestine muscle cars rumbling through Old Town. There was this one that I couldn't identify (kind of looked like a '71 Roadrunner), but it had one of those huge hood scoops usually reserved for drag strip cars, and was tubbed for some fat rear tires. Looked and sounded badass. Hope they're there next week!

They'd better be or I'll kick you for dismissing those burners, how could you? :nervous:

The name of that color is Suzuka Blue Metallic. My next question is, did the S2k have a blue interior? I saw one in that blue/blue color combination on Election Day last year and really liked the combination; I think the one I saw had the blue cloth top also.

I saw a GTR today, I also saw a new and old Challenger on Saturday. I also saw a couple grass fires over the weekend but that's a different story .

Did anybody even notice?!? That truly is special to see this on the road! -kevin

'Tis a beautiful car, but he's posted it before.

*crosses fingers* I'll get there a little earlier, wait and try and video record them.

It's a bit too purple for me. I don't think it had the blue interior, but I can check next time since I'll probably see it again.

A quick reminder from the first post in this thread.....

*FIRST POST*

...so to be rather blunt. If you don't have a picture don't post in this thread.

Saw a couple of nice cars during the past few days, I sadly missed two cars but I managed to get the best ones.

Audi R8

Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale

Once I'd seen it I decided to take a couple of other shots, although I'm only putting up one of the other shots.

Made a nice change to actually see something good!

First time I've ever seen one of these, a DeLorean DMC-12.
IMG_4144.jpg

Only a few weeks after the first time I'd ever seen one (at least, outside of a car show). Only yours gets extra points for not being on the back of a trailer...

It's at an European import car place but I want it sooo bad, it's a '77 Austin Mini and it's only $9,000.

Nice. Looks perfect.

The Saab Aero-X concept in some random building in downtown Birmingham,MI
IMG_4169.jpg

 Nice spot, I didn't know any of these existed outside the factory! You have to find out what that building is, perhaps it's some design offices or something?

Great spots on the 8C and Aquada too, some really interesting sightings there 👍

Thanks. I actually think the Saab lives in a financial firm building but I'm not really sure. I should be back down to Birmingham here in the next week or so and can find out. I'm guessing they either bought the concept or are renting it from GM. I thought it was down in the Renaissance Centre for the longest time but maybe not.

Awesome CS, I really like how it looks with the stripe!

Mine from today, I was out of town all weekend in a city where there were no cars so it's nice being back in the big city

612 and DB9 Volante....yes the 612 has pink accents in the wheels and pink calipers, it's believed to belong to singer Keyshia Cole

TRD, Toyota Racing Development, basically Toyota's specialty division. TRD is used on their trucks as a special off-road package, similar to Z71, FX4, or Pro-4X.

Oh, I'm familiar with TRD for decades now, but I was wondering if there was a special version of the FJ, or just some factory aftermarket parts. I'm not interested in the latter.

I'm really beginning to wonder how rare these things actually are, last I heard there were only 50 or so in the country but this is the 4th one I've seen in the past few months

I think the quote about how many are here is accurate, but I'm also sure hardly any were sold until recently. Having 50 stateside is probably right considering they'd send just one to certain dealers, but the low sales is from its release coinciding with $4.00/gal fuel. That may be acceptable to those with SL65's, but for the minivan? I'm sure those owners stuck with the R500 at best. The new "popularity" is probably due to the firesales every manufacturer is having (and you can be sure the oddball R63 is near the top of that heap) and the now-massively-reduced fuel costs. Cheap car plus cheap gas equals BUY ME NOW!

Aprilia RSV Mille, great bit of kit!

Thanks! 👍 Bikes are become tres cool to me. Still can't ride one, but so cool to see.

That's a 360. For sure.

Definition of dogpile:
What? :odd: 430!

Ducati 848

Providence may not be New York, but they sure do like their bikes. I just have to remember my camera more often.

Honda Inspire

I'm probably wrong about this one, but that looks like the right wheels and trunk detail so.... Anyone?

Jaguar E-Type

There must be something important about this specific E-Type. No one would go through the trouble of carrying one in that condition halfway across Connecticut if there weren't some rather important serial number or something. I suppose it'll show up in Octane two years from now with its full restoration laid out for us.

On a vaguely related note, I have about 260 photos from NYIAS to post. I have to downsize them (down from 4MB each), so it may take me a while. I'll be starting a new thread tomorrow about the show, and hopefully finish by the end of the week, My usual "witty" commentary will, of course, come along for the ride.
