Is this being entered in the UK Time Attack Championship as well? This is a couple of pics of a GTR before it was officially released here... Its been filled with stickers because it was used in a Time Attack competition in the Pro Street category with Tom Coronel as the driver... same driver that set the Ring record in the ACR Viper... I saw this car while I was coming back from break, cruising around the parking lot at my work. The man inside was from a Nissan dealer and coming to visit Compuware (Sponsor maybe??) The GTR was imported by Nissan High Performance Center Visscher here in Amsterdam.

It could be that its being entered in the UK timeattack... not far from here...
Bugger...time for race fuel!
Tom Coronel isn't listed down on the entry list but it doesn't have cars listed yet just drivers.
One entered the Oulton Park round last year, apperently it was pretty easy to get past although they couldnt get toyo R888's to fit it only T1R's, so not too worried. Then I dont think it will be entered there then... unless theyre using a different driver. All in all I dont think you have to worry about this car entering

Not this year it wouldn't a GTR wouldn't have a hope in hell against Andy Gallacher's focus which is entered this year. That was the RC Developments car (The guys with the DayGlo Evos).
For a standard car it did pretty well, fairly safe to say that a GT-R modified to the same standard/level as the Time Attack UK front-runners would smash lap records, if not storm the entire championship.
I imagine something as simple as some R888s would make it pretty potent around most Time Attack UK locations.

A fully-modified GT-R would give Gallacher's Focus more than a run for its money. It's a plain fact if you look at how well the Japanese tuners are getting on with their GT-Rs.
We don't get Skylines here. I hardly see anything good here. Mostly I see crap cars like Cobalts and Escorts, and tons of trucks. (There is a kid in some of my classes that loves Cobalts, and we almost got in a fight about Camaro vs. Mustang. I was on Chevy's side, of course. He's clearly a complete idiot.) I haven't seen anything good today, anyway.I'd be happy to see any Skyline at least.. I once saw an R32 and an R33 in England when I was on class trip.. Other that that there were many Rolls Royce's and Ferrari's, but here, where I live, there aren't such expensive cars to be seen ..
Are those nasty new Beamer 7s on sale in America yet?
Come 2 weeks and we shall see but his focus has a full tubular chassis, weighs under 1100kg and has in the area of 800bhp should be a good season this year.
Where do you go in Atlanta to see all these things? I'm coming there over spring break to volunteer at the robotics tourney... always want to check out some nice rides, though.
Spotted this selection in about a 2 hour spell while walking around the 'rough' end of town (notice many more Japanese modified cars round here) yestrerday afternoon...

Yup Asia is nice for finding nice cars.... I was in Bangkok in January and I saw many RX7s, GTRs, old Skylines, NSXs and many more.... Cefiros that were sooped up..... The list goes on Pity I didnt have my camera handy..... but anyway nice spots Rue!
Rue - you got some hyper car porn there. The first monster WXR (is monster an expression or a tuner?) has one of the best kits I've seen for the new STI. The second is kitted JDM, and I love the air intake in the headlight. I also noticed there was a "Powerhouse Aumse" sticker on the bumper of the second one(seen in the first moster WRX pic).
I love the JUN evo and the Veilside kitted RX7 too.
Been to Bangkok on a few occassions but unluckily didn't see many nice cars. Though I know there is an awesome supercar club there with many, many amazing cars. Singapore was not bad, a lot of Lamborghinis and a few GTR's here and there.
Outside of Japan, Hong Kong is definately the best place in Asia for seeing exotics and tuned cars. Japanese modified cars are 10-a-penny here. I don't normally photograph/post them as if I photographed every extensively modified car here I would have a sore arm! Funny you should mention Cefiros, as there are many here too almost all modified into some kind of drift machine. In fact I would say 1 in every 3 cars has some kind of aftermarket modification here. People are just mad on cars. As a quick thought, my village alone has two Brabus Mercs, two Integra Type-R's, two heavily modified WRX's, two SL55 AMG's, an M3 CSL, two 993 Carreras, a modified MR-S, JDM Civic-R (the new one), 4 Skyline GT-T sedans, two Toyota Chasers, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, a Rolls Royce Silver Spirit II, a Toyota Supra, a Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution, a Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary, a Jaguar XK120, a Mercedes 190SL, a Mercedes 430SL, an original Mini Cooper, a Morris Minor, a Humber, a ridiculous Evo VII that wakes me up in the morning and a Panther Kallista in a bush. And there are about 100 houses in my village. I'm liking the ratio!
