Front looks like a 430 (intakes and slimmer headlights than the 360), upper vent just beside the cockpit looks like a 430, lower vent behind where the door closes look like a 430, mirrors look like the ones on the 430... Probably a 430.

This is a 360 Spider:

Well I saw this car yesterday and I would say the pictures came out pretty nicely for a camera phone that I could not hold steady while driving.

I was driving to Norman to head to the medieval fair from picking up Saturday's mail and the Sunday paper for my grandparents while they were out of town. As I was passing through the town I live in (Moore) on southbound I-35 and while checking my mirrors like I normally do, I see a car they vaguely looks like a R32 Skyline coming up. Then I think to myself, "There is no way that is a Skyline, I must be seeing things". The car gets closer and I continue to think the same thing. As the car evens up next to me and moves pass me, the fact that the car is a Skyline finely sets in and boy was I surprised. I have seen one black R35 near where I work on three different occasions. Before yesterday, I had not expected to see a R32, R33, or R34 on the road any time soon and potentially never in my lifetime. After he passed me, I decided I would chase him for a bit and did so until he exited off the interstate. At one point, I heard the turbo(s) spool and the wastegate dump boost.

On another point, I do not know if you all will be able to tell without zooming in on the picture, but the car has an Oklahoma license plate on it. So hopefully I will get to see the car running around again and maybe even potentially talk to the owner.
I'm surprised to hear you say this. Here in Canada, it's very common to see a R32 or two whenever your out and about driving around. Heck, I've seen a handful of GT-Rs driving around. We've got a huge wannabe drift scene up here, so alot of the people who grew up watching Initial D have opened up a huge market for importing vehicles like the Nissan Skylines, 180sx, 300zx, and we're even starting to see MK4 Supra begin to come over from Japan.

It's nice to see all these beautiful cars running about, but at the same time so many young kids drive these cars its actually quite disheartening. These cars are right-hand drive afterall, and most of the kids driving these buy the cars right after acquiring their licenses. This means lots of accidents, and the insurance is extremely high on these cars. But its not like they pay that anyway :P

I've actually contemplated purchasing a RHD MK4 Supra but I fell for an M3. I will however definitely import a S15 Silvia as soon as they're eligible for import. That means it has to be 15 years old...so I've got a few years to go :P

Sure that's an F430? Looks more like a 360 to me, because of where the top hits the body. The front looks like a 430 though.

It is a F430 and the pictures that Beerz posted definitely show that.

Well Nissan never brought the Skyline (pre-R35) to the United States and so it makes seeing one somewhat difficult, since there are only a few of them running around.

It's a 430, the taillights give it away because you can see them on the back of the car, on the 360 the taillights are part of the back grille and can't be seen from the front or side of the car.

Mine from today...

Gallardo, this one technically doesn't count since it's a rental and sits there every day, I've just now gotten around to taking a picture of it

Today my grandma almost backed up into a '65 GTO convertible today. It was hilarious and scary at the same time. Otherwise, I haven't seen anything today, but I'm heading up to a bigger city later today. Maybe they're'll be an NSX or something there.

EDIT: When I went to NY last summer, I was disappointed at the cars there. Contrary to what everybody says, I only saw two 911's, although one was a Turbo Cabrio. As I expected, there were hundreds of Bimmers, I believe at the rate of 15/minute. That's one every FOUR SECONDS!

I saw a Ferrari 360 last week. I know it's not today but I live in a small town and it's quite a big thing for me when I see one.

havent seen anything particularly notable recently. should be seeing plenty good tomorrow at wheels day though :D if the guys dont chicken out with a bit of drizzle...
hopefully these will be making it!

A quick reminder from the first post in this thread.....

The previous DYSAGT thread just asked for people to say what they'd seen. It led to some pretty outlandish claims, and, well, rather devalued the whole thing.

So, now, we have a new thread, and new rules:
  • Please, only list cars that are interesting in some way. We don't want to see anything run-of-the-mill listed. In the previous thread, people announced having seen a BMW 328i, or a Nissan 240SX. These sorts of cars are not interesting, unless there is something specific about the car itself that makes it unusual, like seeing a new model on/before launch day, or a particularly good custom job. Cars worth less than $20,000 US when new will struggle to qualify as "interesting".
[*]Don't just state the name of the car. Give us a picture at least - even if it's a crap one from a camera phone. If you can't show us the car, how can we believe that you saw it? And don't just replicate an image from Supercars.net or the vendor's web site: we want to see THE car that you saw.
  • Give us some context. Don't just post up a pic of a car and say that you saw it. It's much more interesting if you give us some context. Where/when/what you were doing when the sighting took place, for example.
  • Dealerships and Manufacturer/Tuner sponsored car shows do not count. This means that a race meeting/track day/concourse show/owner's club meeting does count. However, everyday "traffic" sightings are more interesting.

...so to be rather blunt. If you don't have a picture don't post in this thread.

Regards

Scaff

Thanks to buickgnx88 and VEXD for correcting me. No more late night posts for me, then, and I'll do more of my own homework.

But I have some to share with the class:

Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 2008

Blurry. As if you expected anything else from me.

Toyota FJ Cruiser TRD

Normally, I couldn't care much less about this thing. In fact, the only reason I'd glance at it is to scowl at the driver for choosing such an awful contraption. But...what's with the TRD badging? The wheels...look good...for an FJ.

Cadillac 1964

Poor thing loaded onto a trailer and bounced around for who knows how many miles. I can only hope the destination wasn't a breaker's yard.

Oldsmobile Delta 88 convertible 1967

Neat old boat. Hurm...my comments need more work.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6

First new Coupe I've seen on the road and it certainly does, at least in black, look fantastic.

Aprila bike...of some sort

Definitely said APRILA on the side and looked the business. Anyone know what model?

Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Cabriolet

I thought I was done posting CLK63's...I must have been influenced by something....

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 2009

....no, not that one....

Mercedes-Benz R63 AMG 2009

Oh, right! It was this one. Ridiculousness, now seen twice. At least it was the same town as last time.

TRD, Toyota Racing Development, basically Toyota's specialty division. TRD is used on their trucks as a special off-road package, similar to Z71, FX4, or Pro-4X.

Mercedes-Benz R63 AMG 2009

I'm really beginning to wonder how rare these things actually are, last I heard there were only 50 or so in the country but this is the 4th one I've seen in the past few months

What happened to Doug? I loved seeing his stuff but it appears nothing has been posted since early January. Truly a shame right there.

Any who since I haven't been around a well I'll give a "Best of" the past month or so of car spotting from me. The only problem is they are bit sporadic given the weather here in Michigan (Monday we had almost 9" on the ground and today it was in the 60's).

I see Camaro's on a daily bases so I don't really photograph them much but here is one I kind of like since it has a nice colour.

It's at an European import car place but I want it sooo bad, it's a '77 Austin Mini and it's only $9,000.

My girlfriend, Kate, saw this Alfa 8C. Same one I saw back in the autumn but still how awesome is that?
8C.jpg

My buddy, Jimmy, saw this Gibb's Aquada.
Aquada.jpg

lots of weird stuff here! Stumpy's cadoo is awesome, but the Stutz takes the game!!! rare rare.

Well, the Aquada should be, too.

also, the Cad in the trailer and the Olds Delta, very nice.

in this post there are mostly cars that work and that, in most cases, are at least cool.

Third gen Trans Am,never sold here which makes it still a sight, even better: it was parked at the parking lot of the UNAM, the local public uni.

Aawww…
wi013.jpg

At a wal mart, horrible looking 1970 Mustang, those wheel covers are…. Are…well, trash. It was in great shape, but ugly as sin.
wi014.jpg

I was pleasantly surprised to see this incredibly well taken care of mid-80s Ford pickup. Look at it!!! It’s absolutely mint,on AR directional wheels, SO 80s!! I had never seen one of these so well preserved. Awesome. We need more cool odd cars.
wlmrt002.jpg

Nearby the pickup, this very minty 1947 Chevy Sedan immediately caught my eye, very well restored and preserved, not a show car but a nice classic anyway, and it seemed to be in action a lot of time, this was at a Walmart.
wlmrt004.jpg

Same walmart, same afternoon, a bubble Fox Mustang with aftermarket wheels and decent shape…it has some rough spots, but these cars are easier to find falling apart than like this one.
wlmrt025.jpg

But wait, it gets better! same walmart, same day, a couple meters apart: yet another bubble fox! This one, way better than the previous with 17 inch wheels, perfect paint, tinted glass and leather interior! The car belonged to Mustang Club Mexico, the elite club per excellence, so that explained a lot. cool.
wlmrt029.jpg

And better.Same wal mart, same day, yielded this awesome high riding Cherokee complete with splatter paint, dual differentials, winch, roof racks, fender flares, snorkel and all the cool off road stuff,it was really well built and looked awesome, even with the goofy paint. I later saw it again, other day, covered in mud in the same wal mart, but did not have my camera with me.

Audi S4,odd sight here, even tough they are somewhat more common than the RS versions.

Dah, crumpled Sentra taxi.
xvsx056.jpg

Pretty standard 510 4-doorwiththe exception of the cool 4 spoke wheels:
vhkg033.jpg

Very standard also, except for the camper kit, but I really laughed at the electric connection on its flank, haha
vhkg034.jpg

Very run down 1951Chevy 4 door, nothing special, but it was so rusty I just had to.
vhkg036.jpg

Daily driven 1947Plymouth 4 door sedan, check out the real patina on this thing, awesome stuff, you just cant buy this. Sadly, the guy wants to paint it. I’d say it’s perfect (:
vhkg041.jpg

The rice returns with a vengeance.

This wouldn’t be THAT bad if it wasn’t for the stupid wing outback… ok, so it’s pretty horrid, but come on, a riced late model AMX with side pipes, what’s not to like? Dig the flames in the grille, the bike rack and all the stupid stuff..
vhkg040.jpg

Custom widebody Seat Ibiza with the thinnest wheels and tires the guy could find. Bummer. Front fascia was even worse. Check out the “air intake” built into the rear fender and door. Oh man.
xvsx001.jpg

Ugly as heck Ford Ka, with projector headlamps, stupid skirts and general ricing.
xvsx055.jpg

Pfff…
wlmrt023.jpg

I was trying to snap this without getting run over and did not notice the owner; apparently, neither did he, but I would have loved talking with him… “hey, nice piece of absolute crap…”

It was an epic showdown between he and the Modsquad, and it was good. Actually no, he just got in a huff and left again. Some of us keep track of his posts on Zonderf, and I send him a text making fun of Audis every now and again.

Also, the Saab, man, surely that's not just some "random building" if it's got a car like that in it!

In America, those were sold as the Mercury Capri. I was never fond of the rear, but I think the front end looks a lot better than our Mustangs.

Looks like 4"-6" Skyjacker lift, 35" tires, Warn bumpers, Hi-Lift, Bushwacker flares, custom roof rack with 6 Hella lights, and of course a Warn winch. Not a fan of the paint job though. Oh, and there's no snorkel. ;)
