Great pics from everyone as ever! This thread just keeps steamrolling along.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to post any more HK pics for a while as I have just come out of rather unpleasant emergency surgery and have to lay up at home until Monday, then it's off to the UK for a month to see my family. So, I look forward to everone elses spots until then!

Get well soon!

Lotus Exige, fairly rare around here.

I don't normally spot many nice cars where I live but I'm glad I had my camera with me today. I thought it was a V8 at first which I wouldn't have stopped for, then I noticed the wheels. I wish I wasn't in a rush or I would have taken more pictures.

Looks like you weren't the only one to spot it.

Arctic Silver Exige appears to be an S240, only around 120 in the country too.

Cool, thanks for the info 👍!

Today: Mini Cooper S Works GP

Win!

I know there is one of these in the area but it's been elusive, granted I've seen it at the Battle of the Brits car show around here in August. But going to a car show to see exotics and rares is a lot like going to the zoo, you expect to see things there.

Don't see them too often over here though there are a few dotted about. I've seen more of them in my home town than anywhere else, but up here they aren't as common.

Let us tally up the amount of America in this picture.

Of 9 visible cars besides the Toronado, at least 3 are full-size pickup trucks. At least 2 of them are minivans with probably no more than 2 people in them. Seven of them are American cars, and even the 2 that aren't American were designed specifically for the grosser American market. And 8 of them are all larger, heavier, and more inefficient than necessary, with the exception being the Fusion, a sedan of reasonable size and frugality. It also appears to be a 4-cylinder model. Tups to that driver.

What were you expecting in Michigan?

AMG SL63 - Amazingly I have only ever seen three of these here (including this one) I have no idea why there are so few in the Mercedes capital of the world
mer_sl63amg_kk88.jpg

Before anyone thinks anything about "Safety Car Pack", keep in mind there are no badges on the side of the car. All AMG SL's of that generation some type of badging on the side (V8 Kompressor or V12 Bi-Turbo). Secondly, Mercedes offers all sorts of wheels as factory options. Third, said wheels are noticeably undersized for an SL. That looks more like 17" rather than the standard 18" (let alone that particular wheel). We can also rule out the SL65 as it simply doesn't have the darkened taillight lenses that all '65's had of those years (including the S65).

While this could, in theory, be a bumper-modified (and de-badged) SL55, when you combine Mercedes' penchant for bundling options and owners' desires for their non-AMG car to be mistaken for an AMG car, this is, in all probability, an SL500 with optional wheels and an SL65-alike bumper.

There was, of course, no SL63 of the R230 series. The only SL AMG models without side badges were the previous generation, the R129's SL55 and SL73. Both are rare, and the SL73 ridiculously so.

But, hey -- nice SL500! 👍

That is absolutely stunning.

My friend literally jaw dropped and drooled when he seen it. I got the driver to smoke the tires. The 440 sure does spin em easy.

yall didn't happen to see a Dark Green Mustang following 'im, did 'ya? ;3

Actually, an 08 Bullitt Mustang drove past just after I took the pic.

however, the Toronado being in that picture completely makes up for any other downfalls X1000

Nope, it wasn't spotted in SF!! :)

But wow... that 68' Charger is absolutly gorgous... I'd take that over the Zonda on the previous page, I wouldn't even hesitate.

And those smexy ass rims go perfect with it... PERFECT.

Cano is going to crap his pants.
