I could use some BIG pictures of that car to pirate the wheels for some photoshop... could someone provide? 3000 pixels wide at least, and not so distorted? (:
in the meanwhile...
I almost cried. This is a real 1970 El Camino SS, it has 454 emblems but sports a mild 350 underhood, along with the ugliest wheels ever designed, but look at it! Its sooo minty… this car needs a new owner, one that will put proper wheels and cubic inches in it.
Look very closely. You’ll see a small hole at left of the air intake. it was for a hood tach. That has led me to believe this car might be one of a handful, a HANDFUL of Shelby de Mexico Mavericks, yeah, you read right, there was a Shelby de Mexico and it made a few Mavericks with 11:1 compression 302 engines and four speeds, along with various aesthetic enhacements, that included precisely a hoodtach and hoodscoop. No one knows if one is alive, none has ever been registered as being a Shelby Mav, but we can only hope. Drawback? This car has since disappeared.
Absolutelyenormous1975 Lincoln Continental in very sad shape. I could not believe the size of this thing. Enjoy the rustfrom taking off the vinyl roof.
Now, this is something you wont see everywhere else. Betsabe Romero is an artist that does object-art with car parts, and was commisioned by a pretigious hotel to do over this Chevy Sedanette into a street ornament that sits outside. Its got painted wheels, new “power” (look at the rear fender) and a new choffeaur. Its one of the most eclectic automotive spots you’ll ever see.
Oh,yeah. Extremely rare Ford Thunderbird, never officially sold here and quite a solidexample, indeed. I think this is the best Thnderbird design ever done, even better than the 55. Well, I dunno, but it sure is handsome. I’d so rock it daily.
Found in a parking lot somewhere. Says “No Rolls Royces allowed”; pure sarcasm obviously, Rolls are nonexistent in Mexico.
Blingey Dodge Ram Daytona with chrome wheels; I was not even aware this was sold here, but it’s true. Ugly as sin. And pointless.
Yet another absolutely gigantic Continental, this one in better shape but still sad. Restorable, tough, but who would? Interest in these is dismal.
Another giant, this Monaco is a repost, it transports stuff used for a street juice store, and in this caption you can see it’s mangled rear.
Very well restored Mexican 1968 Plymouth Barracuda, 318-4speed, with the most stupid wheels ever. Very, very straight. It also needs another owner that will put proper wheels on it.
Abandoned Cobra kit car, was there for the best part of three years then vanished. Maybe it finally got done over… or trashed.
Horrid picture of a very cool 1965 Mustang 289 ragtop, way rare here, only a handful were sold under special order.
Well, I know, but these aren’t sold here at all, so it was strange to see one.
Rice this time, only a horrid VW Bug.
