What's with all the cabling?

There's massive construction going on in Macau, this was next to Venetian. Maybe they're helping power all the casinos?

From yesterday. The Aston was the only car not shot whilst on the move (as a passenger).

Holy...Blimey...Hong Kong has a couple of nice cars. :sly:

Pepsi0, was it really necessary to quote the whole sodding post? :grumpy: Dac's post was right above yours, we don't need to see every single picture twice.

Dac_Xint - great pics 👍 Cool Mugen Jazz. And yeah, the 355 is very small really. I seem to remember the press describing it as "shorter than a Ford Escort".

To this day it surprises me how small Porsche 911s of all descriptions are. They're so compact compared to most sports cars.

Wow you were only a couple miles from where I work, that's by the shopping centre at Rochester and Auburn isn't it?

And I've seen the M3 around in downtown Rochester before, pretty cool looking car. Sounds nice too!

Nice pics Paul. Funnily enough the yellow Celica was on the front of an HK car mag the day after you told me you saw it in LKF. It should still be on the shelves. Also, remember we were talking about Elgrands/Alphards etc.? Count the white 'Phards in your first pic with the Hilux!

Love that white M3 above. Cute plate as well!

Yep, the Starbucks. My dad can't go a day without it. And the M3 belongs to a guy who works at VR Perfomance in Utica. Nice guy and car.

The Detroit area gets everything GM before anywhere else. But I would wager it's a GM fleet vehicle though.

Getting the bikes out of the way first. Too many bikes for me. Must be all those Italian words on the side....

Ducati 900SS

I've been on a Ducati-spotting tear recently, starting with this one. That's not a showroom, but an antique store experiencing a change of ownership. The bike is not for sale.

Ducati Hypermotard

Odd name. Makes me think of a down syndrome kid who had too much sugar.

Ducati Monster 696

That's actually the exit of the Manhattan Midtown tunnel. I can only imagine the joy of driving that thing for 10 minutes in a long, long tunnel. Well, provided there's no mid-day traffic to go with your mid-town tunnel.

Back to vehicles with 4 wheels and a roof.

Ford Bronco 1968

Looks like it's been both used well and well cared-for. 👍

Chevrolet Bel Air 1961

Evolved from sublime to submarine. Damned thing's huge.

Dodge Polara 1964

I wasn't sure what this was until I happened upon the other DYSAGT thread. A Polara 500 this may not be, but this is the first time I've used DYSAGT to ID a car I already shot.

Plymouth Fury III 1966

Needs work, but it's got a killer sequel name.

Plymouth Sport Fury 1969

This one doesn't need as much work.

Pontiac Firebird convertible 1967

Base spec, but perfect for the day. Who could argue with skies like that?

Buick Reatta

Someone once told me these were rare. Now I know why.

Volkswagen Scirocco 1975

First one I've seen in almost 15 years. Once VW dumped the whole Fox/Rabbit thing, they seem to have really taken off. This certainly hits the nostalgia bug hard, though.

Volvo P1800S

I patiently chased after this in quite suburban streets with one car between me and the P1800. I wouldn't have gone 15 minutes out of my way if I knew it wasn't the DB5 I thought it was. Damned SUV's....

Mazda RX-7 1983

I'm a a bit of a sucker for rotary engines. Except the RX-8. So...that'd be rotary engines in lightweight cars.

Jaguar XKR 2010

Just got him as he was pulling out. I saw it later, cruising by. Looks spectacular; far better than the 90's era XKR.

Ferrari 430 Spider

I need more interesting Ferrari's. Sure, if I owned one of these I'd be far more excited, but I don't. All I got are these photos. Kind of loses its luster after seeing the 20th one I don't own.

Mercedes-Benz 280SE

I was hoping it was a Pullman, but no dice.

Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG

Normally, I wouldn't have bothered, but it appeared to be part of the Florida police force. Long way from home, but if you're planning on becoming a cop, I suggest heading further south. The budget looks better there.

Mercedes-Benz E550C 2010

Brand new coupe, in top trim. Except, of course, the obligatory E63...which I'm sure is due any day now.

Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series

Interesting choice of color. The hazy sky made it seem hot pink, but it was a conventional red, but still no shrinking violet for such a loud car.

Porsche 911 Turbo 993

The first 993 Turbo I've seen. Well, I may have seen it years ago, but I wasn't paying attention...nor did I have digital camera.

Lastly, an unknown:

I have no idea what this is. I know one thing, though: it's not a taxi.

Rue, great spot on the Diablo. Not quite convinced, personally, that it's a legit SE30 as it's missing 2 features that are standard on the car. Could also be #118 from Shangai, but that car does retain those features.

Looks legit to me. Nothing about it says otherwise. What 2 features are you talking about? The US legal ones have some reflector things that's all I know.

I`ve seen some really nice cars around my neighborhood
A red and a yellow F430
A blue F430 spyder
A white Ford GT40
A red viper SRT10
Aston martin Vantage
A black murcielago
A yellow gallardo
Loads of porsches
I saw all of them while driving so I don`t have photos but I saw this black Gallardo at the gas station

A white and a silver R8

then I saw this black ferrari while driving on periferico(mexico city main highway) but I managed to get 2 photos of it

I saw a camaro before it was released I have the photos but its nothing special now

And around my father neighborhood
I saw another viper a Ferrari 360 and this Gran Turismo

And on a trip to japan I saw this continental a toyota gtone on a mall and a ferrari at Ginza I also saw a couple of nicely tuned R34`s but I couldn`t get a picture =(

It's missing it's 2 fog lights in the grill as well as the standard slots in the windows where they roll down.

Going a bit further, the exhaust pipes aren't polished; they'd stand out more if they were, even dirty. From the 2nd pic, they should also be showing the small "rings" in them.
Bull is missing its tail. As close as Rue was in that second shot, the third tail light should stand out more. Also doesn't look like there are any outer reflectors at all in the rear bumper from the second pic.

Again, it could be #118, but that car has everything this one is missing.

Saw my first R8 V10 today, apparently one of the first in the country! the only one in the country. Looked brilliant in white, and sounded amazing. It's a real shame I didn't have my phone on me, like usual every time I see something worthy of a photo.

If #118 is still in Shanghai then it's not the same car otherwise it would have had China plates or even China and Macau plates. As this one had only the Macau plates I would assume it's not the same car (and anyway you said it's missing stuff the SHG car has). I think it must be a standard Dialblo with some SE30 bits.

Good call on the windows. I forgot about those.

I suggested the Shanghai car as it's the closest & may have moved. Shanghai's was also yellow & a simple respray to orange wouldn't be difficult. But again, it had all the standard features last I saw it unless, by some rare chance, the owner changed everything, but that's highly unlikely.

As you said, it's more than likely a Diablo with SE30 parts & it wouldn't be the first.

That's definitely what's happened. Shame, as an SE30 would have been a much cooler sighting. Funnily enough I have seen quite a few Diablo's around recently. Often camera shy though!

Oddly i followed one part way to work yesterday morning before it pulled off and parked outside the University. It was a mid to dark metalic blue with almost a purple tinge to it and had a pale blue alcantara interior with white piping. It also had SV badging on the back but not the large SV graphic on the side and it certainly matched how an SV looks. I've checked the Lambo registry and there are a few cars that match it so who knows? Didn't have a camera on me at the time though.

SV's don't have to have the large decal on the side. In fact of the 3 SV's I have seen in HK, none did.
