Hey TsLeng, awesome post!!! some nasty cars there, I speacially like the Supra, EVO and the 2CV of course. The enzo is relevant because of it's very rare colour...
Lets put something in:
This is a 1953 chevy 4 door wich seemed to be in good shape and being restored, tough I doubt itll ever get finished.
Check out this taxi, hahaha, very typical of Mexico, to have your VW Bug and transform it into something more classy...
1969 Plymouth Belvedere 4-door, rare because these were not sold here in Mexico, finding one is rare and these are sought after to restore the very few same-year Road Runners and GTXs that exist here.
This Civic picture meant the death of my old camera, you can see why. The car was more or less clean.
A Seat Leon Cupra Copa Edition with its exclusive orange on black patern, 100 were made for Mexico, 50 more for Germany and thats it. 285 hp front driver, very fast; the scratch was made in a track day, I know it, I was there, then later found it in the street. Unlikely that another one has the same injury in the same place.
Cruising with the Leon Copa was this mean-sounding Focus ST, its turbo sounded wicked and the exhaust note was roary, very cool:
I think I had already posted this Turbodiesel Benz, but the pictures were way worse. Its rare to see these big Mercedes around here because they were never officially sold in Mexico, but its WAY rarer to see a turbodiesel version. Only one ive ever seen. It has since disapeared. If you look real close, you can see its exhaust laying on the ground.
Dig this 1961 Galaxie thats seen better days, yet it is still driven daily. The car is falling apart, but who cares? Its cool to see these things still on service despite its rough shape, a testimony of how well-made these things were.
I think I have posted this oval window bug a zillion times, but an oval is an Oval so its always cool. Ragtop too.
Rare Ducatti, its not easy to see one around here, so every time I see one (or a Cagiva or something like that) I snap it; this was rarer because it was in the middle of a moving market.
Very nice MGB!!! I really like the aesthetic treatment the owner has given it with its mostly monochromatic treatment and the black BBS-ish wheels, really cool. Anyone could help identify if its a V8 model, or a weakling?
Aaah this was too cute!!! Check out all the stuff over this Vespa!! Im a big Vespa fan so when I saw this I went mad, the thing was immaculate and very well equiped! Dig the windshield, multiple luggage trays and mirrors, and bumperettes. Nice.
This little MGA popped near my house in a shop where they usually have old Mustangs; it was in pretty good shape and is quite a rare spot here, none were officially sold in Mexico.
Gargantuan and pristine 1976 Impala, its rare to find these in such a good shape, most of the time they are pretty picked over and with plenty of rust. This even had its original wheelcaps!
Loaded VW Bus, complete with luggage rack and other tidbits of stuff that got my attention:
Then, another VW Bus, this time a Tipe 2 Transporter with some awful banana-paint scheme and in restoration process... I wonder if its ready, it was near my house where I got this picture.Weird, the rear window has bee cancelled...
Very nice Mustang Fox Coupe, a spot in its own because this year mustangs were never sold in Mexico. But this one was pretty cool and not stock at all, I was waiting for it at a stoplight and when it launched the rear tires screeeched pretty badly, the guy banging gears, he went by me at second, blew by and hit third, with another chirp of the tires. Sounded great and looked cool with the late-model Cobra wheels.
PINK CADILLAC!!!! A 1955 I think, four door but who cares? You just need some scallops, moon caps and low to the ground, and voilá, cool pink cadoo... come on, what other car would you drive in pink other than a 50s Cadoo and a 70 panther-pink Challenger or Cuda?
Just behind the Cadoo, a 1970 Falcon with some really wide and real Cragar wheels, Id have just for the wheels, but I wouldnt mind having the car either:
1931, I think, Plymouth three-window coupe badly turned into a street rod... come on, who does this? The car has potential but needs a lot of work and a HEMI to be a really cool street rod.
An engine-less mid-70s 911 Targa in a trim shop I wander by because of the rare cars they sometimes have. This thing seemed pretty rpugh, but a good car none the less, and very very rare here.
In the same place, this mid-60s bug with Porsche wheels and low to the ground, which is a proven formula for a cool Bug.Nice colour too, but horrid light for it. Also, check out the rare reverse lamps.
Aaahh, what an awesome sight, we dont get many of these, so it was cool to see this lowered M3 ragtop with some aftermarket wheels, it looked pretty damn nice:
Nice stance, and thank God it was under some shade, it would have looked horrible in plain sunlight:
Meter ahead, I barely caught this one, I tought it was another M3, but nah, just a 3-series ragtop with humongous wheels:
Yeah, theres new rice too, check out this lemon Civic with stupid airbrushing in the hood and general cheap-rice vibe:
Then the Black Diamond or so says in the windshield of this poor VW:
And there it goes. Ill post more next week, for now, enjoy (:
Did you notice theres just one abandoned car in my entire post? :0
