This is in reply to the several requests I've had for bigger versions of some photos/other angels of the De Soto. I hear y'all, but I've been pretty busy and haven't had time to dig through the originals and post them. I'll get on it tomorrow, along with some new, not as pretty images, of something styled by Bertone.

if you post complete De Sotto pictures, post them big once and for all, as I'm gonna request them anyway, hahaha

SMASHING POST!!! awesome cars dude, the 55 Chevy is IMMENSE!!! Alas the Camaro, and the Trans Am is way cool but and very rare to see a 5 liter T/A with a shaker scoop! The Cougar looks like a cool street freak with the Ansen wheels.

I was hoping for an earlier T/A having noticed the gothic lettering on the back, but it was still a neat find. Wonderful condition, too. I have more I think you'll like.

I've actually seen a lot in the last few days, so I had to exclude 'lesser' spots like a DB9. :sly: The weather has been most cooperative.

MG TD

At least, that's what I think it is. Either that or a TF. Moves really well, too. (You can see the still-unsold SLR Convertible in the background. :D )

Morgan Plus4

Cooler than an old MG, but this photo isn't.

Cadillac El Dorado 1960

Nothing wrong with a pink Cadillac convertible. Just ask Elvis.

Ford Mustang 1965

Powder blue. I never thought I'd see a color that looks as good as basic red on a 60's Mustang.

BMW Z Coupe 3.0

As posted quite some time ago, 'rarer than the M Coupe'.

BMW/Alpina B7

For a town cruise, this guy was hard to keep up with. Maybe he saw the crazy look in my eyes as I decided to follow him. :nervous:

Audi A8L W12

One of the few non-Bentley uses of the W engine (the others being the Phaeton W8/W12 and Passat W8), but not quite the rarest.

Mercedes-Benz CL600 ~2004

I haven't posted a really interesting Mercedes in a while. A giant V12-engined coupe should do for now.

Porsche 911 GT3 (997.1)

This one came schnelling by (see license plate). I saw him and the black Cayman behind it. I was digging the GT3, but was ready to pass on the Cayman. Good thing I didn't.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997.1)

Seen earlier on a dealer lot, this was either just sold or being test driven. Either way, it's a hoot to see and hear on the road.

Porsche Cayman S Design

The black-on-black stripes. I just barely caught sight of them as it came into direct sunlight. Just need the Boxster version, then....

Maserati Gran Turismo

I still like this car, but I can't really put my finger on what draws me to it. It just...works for me.

Maserati Ghibli

The man with the Italian car fetish strikes again. I didn't realize how bad this picture was until just now. If it warrants it, I can try to take it again. It should still be there tomorrow.

Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Seen at the maniac mansion. This guy just can't stop buying.

Ferrari 430 Spider

I don't know if 'cute' is the word I'd use, as it overpowers the M5 right next to it for both performance and image.

Lamborghini Gallardo Spider

This is two 20-something guys who came blasting by me. I happened to have the camera in-hand, but traffic let me catch up to them later. He really let loose when going through every underpass.

Just got back from a 3-day trip to the Philippines. Very surprised to see the two GT-R's.

ID's on the cars I haven't tagged would be great!

That red car under the Firebird, that's a Corolla, ain't it? I like the one under the R35, and the other blue car under 'it', looks almost like Chevy Nova, but looks little different.

I saw a yellow late(r) model Lotus Esprit today. I hadn't seen one, literally in years. I remember it as the big fish that got away from Famine. :D

My first spot in this thread. A Porsche Boxster (is it an s?) in yellow.

Sorry for the phone quality, also these are pretty rare here, this is just at the bus stop near my place, you dont really see that many great cars away from the city here.

I see this car every day and its about time I took a shot of it, funny thing is that a youngish lady drives it. She is around 30 years old.

Given that we probably see a dozen Ferraris a week in this thread and an Avantime about once every year, I'd say they're more than thread-worthy.

(In fact, after a quick search it appears that mine is the only picture of one in this thread - though two others have said they'd seen them... in 938 pages)

I saw a Blue Avantine and shortly after, a Lotus Carlton and an HF Intergrale Evo II in Paris - but I don't have shots, so I guess you can disregard :dunce:.

Oh yeah, me likes, specially the pink Cadoo and the Ghibli, man, such insanely beautiful cars both.

weird post Rue, but very intresting! I think the blue four door thing might be some Datsun but I'm not even sure.

AWESOME!!! These things are much rarer than anybody could seem to care, really really cool car, such a unique paint treatment! The white 4-spoke wheels fit it nicely. ¿Day pictures please? and BIG ones!!!

Yeah, I like these too.. sorry man, I can't get day pics.. I wish I could.. but I'm flying out of Newfoundland (where the car is) in 12 hours (its 9 PM now)... sorry

 oh well, still, awesome spot (:

I found it odd that someone was just asking the ID of an admittedly rare Fiat a couple months ago, then earlier this week I see one myself.

Fiat 124 Dino Bertone Coupe. Lost interest in following him until he stopped as he was heading into a part of town less than likely to have produced any good shots anyways:

The same Clippper as previously posted. Again, not really lined up for a great shot but it's a spot nonetheless.

I won't shoot every 430 I see, but this one was all alone so I couldn't just go by without grabbing one shot:

aaaah the full De Soto picture rocks the socks, thanks Exige!!!!

Also, dude, when will you take the word of the Packard's owner and take a FULL shoot of it and his incredible house? It's been way overdue!!!!

Rue

I'm pretty sure that's a CJ-5 (or CJ-7) Jeep... like an old Wrangler. Late 70s, early 80s... they didn't change much between years. Still, that one's highly modified, and the rear lights are pretty generic for late 70s Jeeps.

I'm not sure that's even a Jeep, there are a lot of vehicles worldwide with the same looks and architecture, but the brands are crazy...

I think you're right.

Willy's? Look at the front fenders, they're squared, like the Willy's, and unlike the Jeep.

It's been epic recently. I literally can't get the camera out fast enough. See the wonderfully mediocre photos below.

Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 ~1971

I like this one the best. You have just enough detail to see what the car is, but just enough crap in the way to get mad at the photographer for bothering in the first place.

Ford Thunderbird 1960

Or so says the back half.

Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow

On its way out, or on its way in? Nobody knows; the mirror is in the way.

Bentley Arnage T

Fuzzy wuzzy was a woman?

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante

I have been giving most Aston's a miss recently (although anything pre-2001 gets my attention), but I thought this photo would come out better. Shame about the Expedition stuck in there.

Mercedes-Benz R63 AMG

Maybe my subconscious is telling me that 500HP minivans are passé.

Ferrari 430 Spider

An over-the-coworker's-shoulder shot. The car is actually grey/silver, not white. That's how bad the glare is.

Bugatti Veyron

Upon first seeing this, I thought Miller Motorcars had another unsellable toy for sale. However, after the photo I noticed someone getting in. I thought it would be a nice opportunity to hear it start up. I looped around, but not quite fast enough. I noticed, however, that it's not for sale -- it's registered in Pennsylvania. That would make it my first real Veyron spot. Still didn't get to hear it, though.

Am I the only one going through this thread in Awe that these car's actually exist? I mean, these cars are rare, but around my parts, a Acura TSX is rare.. lol!

I can't see the pics. :(
What color is the Veyron?

Not too long ago there were 3 Veyrons at Miller. The red/ black whore, and 2 Grandsports.

Haven't been very lucky with spots lately... need to go out more. Rue, up for a few rounds earlier next week? I'm in Sai Kung on Tuesday.

I'm indeed starting to hate you Tuttle. You see such WONDERFUL cars, the kind of cars that really push my buttons, but most of the time you take absolutely lousy pictures... could you do more like Exige or Xint? I mean, come ON ¬.¬

Lets see the Olds better, which looked awesome... was it really a 442?:

And nice picture of the RSX Dac-Xint!!!

Capitol idea, Tuesday tis also my day off. Granted I haven't actually been here much recently but I haven't seen anything too special on the streets either a part from the obligatory 430's and 360's. There's a nice carbon-finish Zonda-F and a Koenig Specials 328 GTS in SPS at the mo' which I saw when I had a wander down yesterday but the place was closed saw I could only gawp through the window.

I'm gonna need pics of that Zonda!

Went to the nearby store to get some milk. When I came out there was a white AMG Mercedes CL65 parked next to my car. I didn't bother to look for any scratches on my doors.
