Fantastic spot mate!

I went out today looking for a new camera + notebook backpack, and spotted a few nice cars. The best ones however, I failed to photo :banghead: (including a wacky yellow Hummer, a new Flying Spur, Porsche turbo, and an old Elise)

These are what I managed to capture:

authentic Accord Euro-R

Badass Stream Odyssey (dur~), I always thought this car looks like something out of a sci-fi movie, and Rue knows I've got a soft spot of this car:

Another car I always like to see more of:
Skyline G35

Thats all folks!

Nice pics Paul. I agree about the Odyssey there are some proper badass ones floating around. Don't know if I ever posted these two bad boys from Wanchai; a nice white one and a widebody-look silver one.

That yellow Hummer, was it an H1 or an H3? The yellow H3 gets around Wanchai all the time license plate 'MY STAR', the yellow H1 I only saw a couple of times once in Shatin but I hear it frequents Central. Imagine getting that thing around those roads.

Its a H3, You may be right about the number plate when it caught my eyes, I can't remember for sure coz everything about the car screams 'look at me' I seem to remember some silver trims on the wheel arches or something? It was riding on huge chrome rims.

Oh the number of nice looking 4WD Streams Odyssey ... and I saw some very cool looking Estima too, its hard to imagine for those who only see the boring Estimas outside of Asia.

Anyway, see you tomorrow! I need some tutoring on Porsche models, I like them too much to not know one from another...

Back to more recently, in Sai Kung where there's lots of lovely young ladies walking their dogs, great seafood, nice bars (cheers Rue) and very often good cars:

New SL, these don't seem to be very popular in this area, this is only the second or third ones I've seen. There are a ton of older SL's though.

Aston DB9, this was a nice change in pace. It seems like the only Aston anyone buys in area is a Vantage.

Blimey mate! What have you been up to?! Can't wait to see the photos in all their glory. There isn't any law to not blocking out the license plates on the cars you photograph, but I always do now just so I'm covered. I once posted a picture of a CGT on T-plates and the owner asked me to remove it!

Holdenhsvgtsr I'd like to quote your post but it would mean quoting every single picture you got there. Amazing spots! You should post these and even more (including that yellow Civic Jordan) in RUE's DYSAGT 'Event and Showroom Edition'

The two red cars are pure fluke shall we say. My father was out taking a walk and he called me and said "you take car photos right? there's two very unconventional cars here, get on the bike", unconventional was an understatement. I'll post them soon, too many to select from...

Didn't get any pictures of the civic, doesn't really interest me that much plus its not that rare i mean they made less EVO VII RS's (259) than they did civic jordon's.

That's true, I remember seeing two Jordan Civics in the little town of Canterbury, and I've seen at least 1 every year in the West Midlands...

So I finally edited and uploaded the images I took a couple of days ago, and I just realised that this would be my 100th post in GTPlanet! Quite fitting wouldn't you say? (Joined since Sep 2003, these 100 posts took time!)

Since its my 100th post, I'm going all out here and post more pics of the same cars, so please just let me indulge myself:dopey:

👍 nicely matched pair. Replicas i presume?

According to RUE, only Cano can tell, I didn't have the guts to question the owners about the integrity of their cars, especially when they are in such great condition.

The Cobra is right hand drive as you can see, and the driver said this car was imported to HK from Australia / New Zealand back in the late 70s... more so, I've never seen a cobra running on the 302 powerplant that the plaque on the front fender indicates.

So, Cano, help me out will ya? :P

I think a LHD GT40 is a bit of a give away. The Cobra could be a AC MkIV, built under licence by Autokraft in the '80's as a continuation of the original cars. They generally had the smaller 302 engine but with similar rear arches to the bigger, later 427 Shelby cars.

That sounds a lot like what the owner said to me over the enormous sound of the idle engine, and cheers for pointing out the LHT, I was oblivious to these things when, well, a MKI GT40 is in HK, 2 feet from me...

The headlight in the preview picture for the GT40 looks a lot like an F40LM's head. So much for me looking at the rest of the photo before being really let down by a stinking Fast-Only-Rolling-Downhill :P

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr8

Finally got a photo of the only Vanquish I know of in the city. It's an S, too!

Great pics, Paul! You really did get amazingly lucky there. That GT40 is stunning! I never thought I would see those two cars together in Hong Kong. I'm sure there are many informed ppl on GTP that can tell if these cars are authentic or not I only mention Cano as I know his passion for 60's muscle knows no bounds. I actually saw that red Cobra in Choi Hong about 7-8 months ago. I guess it was the same one, it flashed past on the other side of the road when I was on the bus. I wonder if they'll be up at Luk Keng this weekend? I would love to somehow get down there early on Sunday morning.

Ferrari California, still one of the ugliest cars on the road in my opinion
