Firebird? With some horrible decorations, and possibly fake blower

IMG_1810.jpg

Agree. Ugly decals, ugly wheels, and I do agree that it has a fake scoop. Those butterfly valves look like stickers or like they were just painted on. I'll bet it's one that you just bolt onto the hood.

Yep, we were on our way to Ann Arbor from Brighton and though we'd try a new road and at one of the 4-ways we came to we a sign that said Lingenfelter, and Ken Lingenfelter is the Sultan. So we instinctively turned around to look for it and when we saw it, it had three garages like the videos do and it's in Brighton so it has to be it. It's now on our list of pass by every couple weeks to check out :D.

Oh man, talk about some epic win right there. I wish Brighton was closer so I could scope it out but it's a bit of a drive for me.

Yea, thats like us going to Autozone. It's fun a couple times but a pain. I'm surprised the amount of car places we've found. Like today we also found Connie Kattila's garage, an RM classic car showroom, and Car and Driver never disappoints.

I suppose that is part of the fun of car spotting. The thrill of the hunt never gets old no matter how irritating it may be at times. Looking back over my photos I'm simply amazed at what I've seen over the years and how being in the right place at the right time means everything.

I agree, it's amazing what I've randomly driven past, or saw parked in a paarking lot. Car spotting is my new favorite hobby :D

Just saw this 6 wheel Chaser 3 times in the space of 10 minutes but couldn't get a snap. I have a video but all you can see is it's rear lights in the distance. I 'chased' it down to my local town where it was heading towards and checked every car park, but with no joy. This picture is in a very early stage, it now has a D1GP-esque paint job. So annoyed that I couldn't get a good snap, it was hideous but awesome at the same time.

Okay, let's make this post worthwhile. 90% of these were taken this evening when I was finding the Chaser in my town. Once again, poor cellphone pics while I wait to fix/change my camera:

Sweet, I couldn't find the Hot Machine magazine, I told my mate about it and he said the pick up Chaser was in the last issue. This car is officially your unicorn

Nice spot. This thread seems to be slowing down a lot recently. I'm guessing that there's a lot of bad weather in North America and Europe and people are keeping their pride and joy in the garage?

Yep :grumpy:, it maybe hit 30 today. I won't be seeing much post worthy for a few months, I'll try though :)

not too sure about this one...chevy badge??

These could really go in either this thread or the dealer one because technically they were being unloaded on a side street outside of the dealership

There are some truly awesome cars in that post right there zonderf! Nice work! In the Rolls capital of the world I have only ever seen one Drophead and never the Ghost.

Definitely the case. At least, that's what happens in the northeast. There's some sell-backs, too, with people trading in more interesting cars for more affordable ones (an example of which I posted a few weeks ago; the Greenwich Infiniti dealer seems to pride itself on this). It sucks if you're looking for a good shot of something, but it makes it a bit more special when you finally find something. Like these:

Alfa Romeo Spider

It was the yellow that caught my eye. All the others I've ever seen are red. While not incredibly special, it led to this one....

Triumph TR5

Neat little bugger. It's not every day you get dwarfed by a Kia.

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante

Another in my ongoing series of 'just barely missed but caught in the rear view mirror'.

Ford F-150 Platinum

I'll bite: What does 'Platinum' mean and how rare is it? Why would you want it anyway? It's a work truck...supposedly.

Pontiac Firebird 400 1975

Looks like really good clean-up job. Last time I saw this one, it was in much rougher shape.

Saab 9-3 Viggen sedan

The jury's still out on whether the last Viggen I posted was genuine or not, but in the meantime here's another to consider.

Platinum is their top of the line model. It is basically supposed to replace the slow-selling Lincoln Mark LT. It's not really rare, I just think not too many people want a $42,000 luxury truck.

Bumped with content. Man, is this thread slow at the moment. Dac_Xint you said you had some pics for us?

Yup, here's the photo from last Saturday, and I've got a few more in the other DYSAGT showroom thread. There's another BNR34 there!
