this weekend was hold the annual "STADTPARK-Rennen" (city park race) here in Hamburg (most beautiful town in Germany ;-) )... there were cars and bikes approx. 1900 - 1980
here some nice pictures (the bikes i left out because i am no bike fan):

now that I have downloaded the 'Cuda picture I have my doubts. The Hemi emblem on the shaker scoop is not correct, which makes me believe that it is a clone. Nevertheless, an indredibly well made clone!!!

Oh, that's a shame, but it's still an amazing as you said.

Also, I saw a Merc SLS a month ago but couldn't get a pic since it went away pretty fast. And saw a Boss Mustang today, not sure if it was real. No pic of that either.

Strictly speaking, I didn't see these today. I took these pictures during my visit home to England last month. Couldn't get over the number of nice cars on the roads - times sure have changed since I left the country.

Last, but not least, I saw this in the car park at the Brooklands museum.

And I don't understand why people take the spoilers off of Evo's. Then it just looks like a regular Lancer.

It's a factory option. :odd:

Nash Rambler 1958

Not sure why this is out in the open and a Mercedes is in the car port. :odd:

Ford F-100

A hot rod, but nicely done. Stock body, far from stock underneath.

Ford Thunderbird 1955

Her expression says it all.

Ford F-150 King Ranch

A few years ago, this was a F-350 (at least as far as equivalent size is concerned).

Jaguar E-Type

Rarely has putty looked so good on a car. Rarely has a car looked quite as good in any color.

Jaguar Mark II 1967

Seen one day after the E-Type, just one house further down the road (the yellow house in front of the Mk2 is the same as the one behind the E-Type).

Volkswagen Beetle 1300

Tried to get another photo, but the local constable shot me a funny look....

Cadillac Eldorado convertible 1967

On that day, that was proper transportation.

Porsche 911 Turbo 1989

Not so much this one on this day, though....

Mini Cooper S Works GP

Goofy looking, but I have no doubts about its abilities.

Nissan GT-R 2010

The octogenarian in this series of photos had already finished filling up his car, but sat there the entire time trying to figure out...something, probably how to reset the trip counter. This says one of two possible things: he's too old to drive that car, or the car is simply too complicated for daily use. Complexity for the sake of complexity is never an improvement.

Plymouth Prowler

An absolute ace of a car. All it needs is a current Hemi and a proper color. Not that black is all that bad, of course.

Ducati 999

I know; I snuck another bike photo in. But it's a 999! If only I could have captured the tool who showed off his Ducati before tipping it over while waiting at a traffic light.

Subaru Impreza WRX STi & STi

I have parked many times in this area, and when I did, I parked next to this bike. I did so because this bike hardly moved and allowed me to creep a bit into that space, giving me safe distance from the clobber who'd park next to me. The white STi showed up some time last year and did the same thing after I stopped showing up. The red one showed up this month. I just find it a bit funny, having inadvertently created a STi-safe location.

Mercedes-Benz SLS 2010

Not the first SLS I've seen, but the first one I had time to photograph. Still not the best looking supercar, but the white sure hides the unfortunate rear end.

Rover 3500 SD1 1982

I keep forgetting that Rover sold cars in the US, but this one took me by surprise. I thought it was a Toyota of some kind. Silly me.

I was walking the dogs (85 lbs male mutt, 55 lbs female German Shepard) this morning and heard something. Looked across the street and saw a black Audi R8. It drove past us and he knew I was looking so gave it bit more throttle than needed (but not enough to be obnoxious). If you are like me and like the looks of the Audi R8, it is nothing compared to the sound. Couldn't get the phone out to take a picture because of the dogs. I should have at least tried because there was a red NSX about 5 minutes later.

There is a guy down the street with a Ford GT and someone that drives a Ferrari F355 Challenge (but it might be a fake) past my house on the weekends.

I will try to be ready with the camera next time I see something interesting, I didn't even know about this tread until I wanted to share what I saw this morning.

You never knew about this thread!? It's only the biggest thread GTPlanet has! I look foward to seeing your pictures if you manage to get any.

Anyways...

Some stuff I've gotten since the start of September, including a spotting trip last Saturday:

E60 M5. I was on my way home from college, when I saw this. I've seen it many times before, but it was always going the other way. Well here it is finally:

I was outside my house getting into my truck to head to the college, when I looked up and saw this hot air balloon!:

The early 90's Lotus Elan:

I'm hesitant to put this one here. It was involved in a car meet hours earlier near by, but the meet had long since ended, and the car was moved to a restaurant. So I guess it counts as a spot now. 997 GT3 Cup Car:

Apache! My friend got the picture for me, since I was driving. He started attacking me, but I got away:sly::

That's all for now.

Over the last few days I've seen my first Merc SLS AMG and Ferrari 458, I was driving so no photos I'm afraid. They both look gorgeous in the metal but the Merc especially so.

Nice 👍 The one I saw was dark gunmetal, looked pretty mean...might have to track one down in a dealers :)

I do believe people should really use the "Events and dealership thread" more, mainly since I sometimes keep posting in the same message. There has been a lot of interesting things going on there.

But this is from the street:

Old model Mercedes SL65 AMG V12 Biturbo (did not know this existed, in the same week I saw the new model one (event thread):

Seconded on that. I was actually going to post that earlier, but I was in a hurry to get out the door. Still though, a Mustang in Europe is a pretty good spot, so not totally bad.

And I like the 996 GT3RS. They actually had color combos that didn't make the car look like a Halloween theme.

Stayed with family in California this week, which also means I was staying with this.

The car was only 2 days old when I got there and the corrective work had already been done. We took it into Ferrari Newport Beach for a scratch cover though, and made a tour of all the local dealerships in the area. I'll be posting that up in the dealer and event thread.

Nism0, this is the same family. Last year it was my cousin's California and this is her husband's new 458. He's the guy who commisioned a fusion of a Mustang GT and Gallardo.
lamborghini-ford.jpg

How many Mustang's have a Gallardo V10 in the back  Probably for good reason but one hell of a project.

I can't defend the Gallardostang, It isn't something I would do. Looking through it's scrapbook though it's extremely well done and I'm told it drives like the Lambo.

I'll have to ask him again why he had the project done, he's got several Lamborghinis so I guess it's good he didn't use his one Lamborghini to make it. Aren't you from around south Cali, Mclaren?
