Awesome pictures Rue, you know Ive always liked your night shots, your Nikon has very good high-ISO capabilities, it allows you to do these without looking like fried crap.
So, new page, new post, albeit small; first, a clean non-SS Monte Carlo, but the picture is almost of the wheels, as it is very rare to see Torq Thrust IIs in Mexico:
Taken from a bridge, a vintage, vertical-lamp Mercedes with modern wheels. Questionable.
A really really rare here 1971 El Camino, pretty much abandoned there
although it disappeared soon after this pic was taken.
I usually walk by this shop because once in a while theyll have something cool, such as this 1969 Vette. Finding it that day later derived in a photoshoot for the magazine. It has a LT1-4L60E combo and is very well finished everywhere, very cool car.
Silvia or 200SX or whatever the heck this is. Im no expert in such stuff, but I vagely think this car was not sold in Mexico.
Thiss 1954 GMC rests outside a shop I walk by from time to time when I go to a flea market looking for old die cast cars.
Nearby sits this 1967 Coronet, in very goooood original shape and for sale. Tempting, it only needs a bit of chrome trim and thats it. Its still there.
I walk by this Merc everyday. Somewhat customized, I took this pic about a year ago . The car sits in the same place to this day, with one flat, just deteriorating. WTF.
These models are hard to find here, they were never officially sold here .
This street corner always has something intresting. Ive already shown you the 1932 Plymouth in front of it, but the ragtop Mercedes with Momo wheels appeared later on. The car even had a flat for some time. It has since disappeared, its place now taken by a 1965 Stang ragtop. Always something interesting, as I said.
Finally, one of the rarest cars Ive ever come across in this country: a Lancia Fulvia!!! Only a handful of these live in Mexico, and this one is in absolutely pristine condition. I even left a card in it one time hoping the owner would agreed on a photoshoot, but he never called back. It disappeared several months ago, its place taken by a ragtop Fiat, which has also disappeared. But, such good taste.
And the sole ricer this time is this Eclipse. As if being an Eclipse wasnt already bad enough.
