Okay, so I finally was able to take those pics outta my phone...

The orange thing behind the red car is supposed to be a Porsche 944:

A VW Beetle with a nice body modification:

And as a bonus, my uncle's race car, based from a 70's Chevy Pickup (Don't remember if Silverado, or Custom Deluxe...):

tell your uncle he's beyond awesome. Cool pre-runner style C10!!!

The old VW is a common Brasilia. A Type 4 is much more harder to come by. However, the real jewell is the Datsun Fairlady roadster, That's one of the most rare cars you'll ever see. They are amazingly scarce everywhere.

we saw a Bentley on the way home from the aquarium, but I couldn't get a picture because we lost the battery for my camera

Just a few from the past couple days.

Caught an X5 M on my way back from market. Looked it up before posting, the base model only goes up to 403hp or so, and the M is like 555hp, so the M means something here.

One the way back today, nice Avanti

Stopped off before next delivery, as I wasn't expected for another hour, at a busy corner in a fairly wealthy suburb. On the ramp, before I'd gotten myself read, zoom! goes my 2nd Lambo! Dammit! Stayed on the following corner for 40 minutes hoping that car would come back this way... but I did see some good stuff.

and then, left, continued on, and getting into the delivery town, sweet sounding 300SL

I think that Maserati is an older model, 3200 Coupe, or similar? You had that type, then the type with the boomerang/crescent-shaped rear lights, which I always kinda liked.

What's up with that Magnum? It looks like a pram :ill:

Nice 911 though, i'm really getting an appreciation for older ones now, anything that was still air-cooled really and nice to see the new one harks back to that classic shape a little.

Are 300SLs common in the US or something? I think I would faint or something if I saw one "in the wild" here :)

No! When I looked it up and saw they can go for $500,000+ I got chills. Really had a great sound, too.

And yeah, the Magnum was funny more than cool, but I like how Magnums look and have thought of taking a shot of several, so I finally gave in.

Ah did a little research on the Maserati, it was originally called the 3200GT (so technically a GranTurismo I guess!) and had the boomerang-shaped LED rear lights, but they didn't meet US regulations so it was replaced with the 3200 Coupe in your pic, with more conventional rear lights.

Then in 2007 it was replaced by the modern GT, and LEDs were back, this time worldwide :)

Wow, Jeff, you're really starting to make name for yourself here. Great spot on the 300 for sure, I've only seen on and that was in LA.

Wow, never seen a 300SL on the road, the only ones I've seen were the two Gullwings they had at the Simeone Foundation Museum in Philly. As soon as I have a decent chunk of free time I'll put a rather lengthy report about the museum with plenty of pics up.

nice pics Jeff! Seems like you come across all sorts of sexy "ladies".

Here are my contributions for day:

I call these two the Chevy Twins

BTW, I will probably never post pics of Hummers, BMW or Porsches. BMWs I might, Porsches, only if they're like a GT3 RS or something, but there's too many Hummers around to worry about. (I saw two H3's coming home.)

Jeff, I love your blase comment on the 300SL 'sweet sounding'... I imagine when you saw it you didn't know just quite how special that car is! Great catch!

I found your story strange.

This car for me that is a GranSport, they are quite common here.
But it seems you are right, 3200GT, 4200GT to GranSport was an evolution.

The GranTurismo however was a replacement based on the Maserati Quattroporte V.

CRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAP A 300 SL!!!

And all you say is that it sounded nice? hahaha you're even tender sometimes, Goddin. Nice catch.

Nice post also SuperShouden, old rotting cars are always up my freaking alley.

saw this today, it's a 1960-ish Citroen Ami, it was in excellent condition and i'm guessing that's pretty rare these days

Citroën Ami by drvac, on Flickr

too bad the picture is deformed :grumpy:

I've never seen one of those before, so when you said the picture was deformed, I did a google search to see what one should look like. I thought maybe the roof didn't really look like that or maybe it looked like it's ride height wasn't really that high, but no.... very interesting design there.

Saw this today while waiting for a table at the local sushi restaurant. There was a red GTR behind him which I'm pretty sure was his wife's.

My small contribution, first of all a Nissan. I can't figure out what model this is, probably a common one but it's the first I've seen it (I thought Altima but the front doesn't match)

Aston Martin

And finally... this baby has been running away from me a few times, now I finally caught it standing still.

I hope it's okay if I do this but I saw something complete amazing today and I don't have an pictures of the beast.

It looked to be a home made open wheeled rear mounted engine... monster! It was extremely loud and burned rubber when leaving the light and unfortunately I have no clue what it was but it looked to be home made.

Where was that pic taken of the Maxima? It's VERY rare in Europe - unless you're from Poland. They hardly drive anything else than US-spec cars there

In Belgium, it's probably imported here (close to a military base with US soldiers) because I've never seen it before.
