We don't mind the occasional unsupported post in this thread, but please try to back up your sightings with photos you take. I've seen dozens of worthy cars that I have not reported because I couldn't get a shot of them.

I know, it's just it's near impossible to do that when I sight these cars.
Simply because these examples were all on 100kmph+ highway/tollways where simply to ready a camera before they go past is an incredible feat in itself.

Saw this, but can somebody tell me what this is? I'm not so good with them.

And this is the front end of the blue one... :D

Please tell me you have more than just those two pictures. I'd love to see the rest of whatever else was there.

Look, Doug, since you've read all this (and if you're half as addicted to this thread as I am, I'm sure you have), I hope you can come to the same conclusion most people come to sooner or later:

GET OVER YOURSELF!!

No, seriously. While being a college student doesn't exactly make you an adult (although at least you're not a middling child), you clearly have many of the symptoms of someone who needs to grow the hell up. This is nothing about your intelligence or abilities, but about your perspective for yourself and your surroundings, including the people you interact with. Now in the same way you can't tell a 5-year-old what it's like to be a 10-year-old, there's nothing anyone can say or do to fix this for you. It's just going to 'happen' one day...or maybe not. Whatever.

Believe it or not, this forum needs people like Doug. Intelligent, opinionated, belligerent, condescending, and often rude. Just as it would be boring as hell to be stuck with a group of British gentlemen at a tea party, this forum would be dead without conflict. Doug may not have been the only one like that, but the more the merrier. Variety is the spice of paprika. I'm sure it even benefits from people like me: charming, good-looking, not-too-stupid, occaisionally ignorant about his own ignorance, loves to hear himself talk, rambles on to no one in particular about . . . .

I believe i could make it through the day without seing another picture of a Phantom or 360 spyder outside an Atlanta hotel

Just noticed this. Not cool.👎

That is disrespectful. Doug makes the effort to photograph these cars and upload them, then post them here for people who are grateful to see what people drive in generally richer areas.

Not trying to start anything here, I just thought it was a rude thing to say, regardless of what Doug was saying before.
Besides, since you're obviously sick of them, why didn't you mention it earlier?

I was hoping that we might of got beyond this little argument by now...

I've nothing against M5power at all, far from it, a good difference of opinion is what makes a forum interesting. And i agree - he does keep this thread going with on topic and by-the-rules posts.

As for being rude - i hardly set the tone for the argument in the first place.

He'll be back.

i know how you feel, i live out in the country where they're almost always doing 100:indiff:, but i don't see much down here anyway:indiff:

I dunno. I think it may be an older Esprit SE, because I believe the S4 had the odd looking spoiler that was mounted on the rear part of the window thing.

The 'SE' part is just the trim level - S4 is the model revision.

Well the day before yesterday I was with a friend and an electronice supermarket when I heard I sound I recognized from videos I'd seen online. There was no doubt about it. An RB26 engine for sure, loud as hell. We walked in the direction of the sound, because it sounded like it was close by.

Well, turns out it was at least a kilometer away, across the motorway, so we didn't see anything, but definitely heard a couple of Skylines doing donuts or burnouts and bouncing of the rev-limiter.

I'd just thought I'd write it, because it was a cool experience for me as they're very rare over here. :)

So, f'ing what?

I make an effort to travel 20-30 miles in Saturday traffic just so I can bring back photos of high-dollar vehicles for everyone. If I want to make the effort Doug has done so much, I'll just take a walk around my town.

I may have even been a RB20-25 or 26 they all sound pretty much the same with an exhaust, especially when on limiter. It was probably a engine conversion job, that seems the most likely in the US.

Well I live in Sweden, and here the most common Skylines are R32's and R33's. They have got RB26's haven't they? GTS' has got RB25's I think (Please correct me if I'm wrong) and R33 GTS' are the most common here i think.

Never heard of any older version than the R32 in Sweden, so the other RB's aren't very likely I think. But maybe there's other cars that uses and RB engine than Skylines?

Who'd go through the hassle of importing a Blazer :P
There's a few showrooms that specialise in imports, you don't need to privately import one, just pop down to your local Bauer and Miller equivelent and buy one, like any car.

I know several places that import cars, but usually it's Japanese cars that have the benefit of being RHD. I'd also seen an American car dealer but this specialized in sports cars, big SUVs (Hummers, escalades etc) and pick-ups (Rams, F-150 etc). None of which the Blazer qualifies for.

Only Skyline GTR's have the RB26 (besides one exception). There is so many model/engine variations I'm not going to list, especially as this is becoming off topic.

And yes various different cars have also featured RB engines. If you really want to know the details PM me or I'm sure Wiki has most of it listed.

TO THE PERSON WHO POSTED MY PHOTOS ON EXOTICSPOTTER AS HIS OWN:

This act is illegal under civil law and immoral. I hold all rights to my photos. The proprietor of the Website and myself are discussing how to handle this matter at the present time. Do note that when posting on ExoticSpotter the following warning is given: "We only accept photographs which were taken by yourself or of which copyright you own. If not, please secure permission for web reproduction from the copyright owner." This is a serious warning, and failure to do so can result in a civil lawsuit.

I have removed all photos from GTPlanet and intend never to post another here. I have further removed all of my other photos from the Internet and am in the process of watermarking and tagging each one with my name. One bad apple ruins it for the rest of you. My decision to no longer post here was, clearly, a good one. You people are unbelievable.

Doug, you're making a mountain out of a molehill.

Yes, the photo's are yours, but you're hardly prototype spotting and you're work is not exactly original.

Wow, you sure are going to a lot of work for absolutely nothing. It seems to me you got your panties in a wad over something that means so little, regarding the Alfa, and want to take your frustration out on anyone and everyone from GTP.

Now that's not to say, people giving you crap for your opinion on the Alfa were not in the wrong either. The way I look at it, having followed almost all of the bickering between the two parties and not getting involved, both parties were in the wrong and both should have came to a compromise. Neither of which happened. Too bad, you did a wonderful job providing pictures for the thread.

There sure does seem to be a lot of losers here because of this. Doug for leaving the wonderful GTP site. All of us for not getting to see his pictures. Totally lame! 👎

And how do you know it's a registered user here that's done that? Or even someone who's just registed and taken them? You don't, way to go accusing over 90,000 people in one go. You say we're unbelievable, I think you need to look at yourself mate. One person has done that, ONE, which is hardly representative of over 90,000 people, or the number of people with acess to the internet. There's far worse you could end up victim to, like proper identity theft, and start getting bills for stuff you've never bought and on credit cards you don't even own. If your photo's were sometihng you did to make money I'd have more sympathy for you, but I'd still give you a hard time over your rather broad accusation there.

If you want to ask Exoticspotter for the IP address of the person who stole and uploaded your photos, we can check here and see if it was a GTP registered user.

Oh Doug, don't go. :(

@David Emanuelle Anderson- that's not gonna help if he isn't coming back...

This thread will go slower I think. Not just the number of pics, but he raised good discussions too.

Sorry to see you go out this way. Good or bad, Liked or disliked...thanks for the photos and the effort. Also sorry to see the lack of appreciation for your contrabutions here.

So what are you going to tell the court? THIS BAD MAN STOLE MAH INTERNET PICATURES I WANNA SUE WAH WAH

Also no it wasnt me go ahead and check my ip or whatever
