You're right, the lighting would have challenged even the best cameras. But the level of detail on the camera is really lacking. The car is quite stunning in person.

EDIT: I am being fairly hard on my cell phone. It is 1/5 the size of my digital camera and I can't call anyone on my Kodak

Ferrari testarosa is the ugliest ferrari ever exited. :ouch:
Yeah, right.
Ever seen the 512M?

How about the Dino 308 GT/4?

Or maybe every Ferrari designed after the 360 Modena?

I dropped the ball on the 599, and M-Spec caught it :sly: Nice find!

Looking for ugly Ferraris? There's always the 400.

I like the 400...granted, I realise that it is more trouble to maintain than it is worth (literally), but it reminds me of the Aston Martin Lagonda. And you can buy them for stupidly small amounts of money.

Hey man, a Ferrari is a Ferrari. I would love to have any Ferrari in any condition, and would be a proud owner. The prancing horse is a beautiful thing. Before you criticize Ferraris, look at the other cars of the era. All of them are awesome and should be very respected. That said, maybe it would be OK to compare Ferraris to each other.

Modern Ferraris are very appealing to me. While I was a bit cautious on the 612 and 599 at first, I consider them beautiful cars. It took time with the 599 and an actual sighting of the 612.

Rosso Corsa is never a good colour for the larger, 4 seat Ferraris. Very dark blue metalic is the colour of choice for Italian 'limos' - The 400 looks quite nice in other colours. IMO anyway.

Yep, I agree.

Here's a photo of the blue one at the Haynes motor museum taken for my gallery here.

My wife and I were having dinner in Greenwich Village (NYC) Saturday night and I saw one of these:

Sorry for the crummy picture. My cell phone camera sucks.

Hmmm...I think that's the same I've seen around here, although I've also seen the dark blue one on Soho, so I know there are several GTB599s running around the city.

------------
BTW, I never knew you stopped by here M, you gotta attend NJGTP sometime, at least when MistaX and everyone else around here make up something :P-----

Ciao!

I'm pretty sure that's a 612

Thanks for the invite, just let me know when 👍

And yes, CCX is correct, it's a 612, not a 599.

I just saw a Porche 959!!

I left my phone at home though, and even if I had it, I wouldn't have had time to get it out and take a pic. :(

WTF? That has to be the single longest forum username i have ever seen!
:odd:

anyway on topic, the guy who works a little way down my road who previously owned a dark blue 993 911 Turbo followed by a TVR Chimaera has now gone and bought a brnad new Jaguar XK, hopefully i'll be able to get close enough to get some pictures. (he's a little sensitive when it comes to people near his cars, i was shouted away whilst photographing his 993 before and was unable to get a photo of the chimaera for fear of damage to my own person or property...)

I've seen this car for a while, but never been able to get the photo off my old mobile...

So Brett, if you're watching...

Annnd expect more sightings with photos from me now that I have a decent camera phone (2 Mp) and the ability to transfer them to the PC.

And after seeing them up close I'm 90% sure that they are not functional.

I also say my step-cousins latest Mk1 MR2, looked brilliant in white, but he wasn't actually there for me to ask him about it.

That looks like the toms front bumper (or a toms replica) to me it's not too far from the original but it does look a bit nicer. But the twin roof scoops, stupid and pointless, seeing as one side tapers off into the air intake side and the other one ends where the electric fan is. The original Toms scoop kit was for the 3SGE MR2 and had some kind of special box that connected to the intake so that the air coming in from the scoop was sealed off from the rest of the engine bay, thereby not disturbing air flow. What most people do is put it on a turboed car and it messes up the airflow for the timc which is meant to be cooled from the air comming up through the side vents on the bottom of the car.

I would actually buy a toms one if it came with the extra intake bits as well, but they are pretty much impossible to find.

No pics to show for it, but I saw a Lexus IS300 Sportcross today. I believe it's the second I've ever seen, and it sold very few AFAIK.

I need to get a cameraphone. Or just a cell phone would be nice.
