Did You See Anything Good Today? [Read First Post]

Rare? It's been pretty boring lately.
Dinan's are rare, but it is the Dinan M5 that is the crown jewel. Using only a few exhaust mods, they made ythe last gen. M5 faster, lighter and (IMO) far far better looking than the current one. They also tok the limiter off, which let it go a crazy 180-ish MPH.

So, any Aussie's been seeing the new Camaro yet? According to some sources, the Australians should be seeing the new Camaro first, as GM said some would be out on the road before 2007.

Really?

I haven't heard anything. We don't even have Chevolet here, so I assume it would have to be sourced through Holden, like Hummer starting to be.

But like I said, I haven't heard even a mention of that anywhere, from the Holden site, news, or any of my motoring magazine subscriptions.

I saw what appeared to be a new AMG-Mercedes S class today. Black. I've got to admit that it looks better in person than it does in pictures.

I also passed by a Mercedes GL Class (Their full-size SUV... I think it's called the GL Class), and boy is it ever ugly. Was not impressed.

I think he means for testing maybe? As much (not sure on exactly how much) of the development is happening here in Australia. If anyone is to see any from GTP it most likely would be you. :)

I'll keep my eye out at the main Holden factory but I highly doubt I would see any.

What I had just read is that the Camaro is going to be doing some of its testing in Australia. As of right now there are no plans to sell the car in Australia, but the head of the Australian GM division, or someone along those lines, really wants to sell the car there.

Yesterday, I was in Woodridge, which is like modded car heaven compared to where I live, and in the carpark was a yellow R34 Skyline with big gold wheels. It stood out from the crowd of cars around it. Unfortunately it was far from where I was so I couldn't get a closer look. By the look of it, it appeared to be a GT-R V-spec, but not too sure.

Well, sorry, but I don't have a cool new million dollar mobile that can do everything. Plus, everyone knows what a damn R34 looks like, don't they? :nervous:

By the way, I like the banner theme 👍

Went to lunch at IN&Out and saw a new Blue Vette Z06. AWESOME looking car.

Dude -- what? Where're your photos? Go sit in the corner and don't come back until you feel like sharing images with the rest of the class. :grumpy:

Seriously: This thread is not for talking about cars. We do that all over this forum. This thread is for photos. It's not about proof, it's about sharing. For example:

I saw a nice car. It was my friend's car. It was a Mercedes. Here is a photo.

See? Even writing like a 4-year-old, that's a valid post. A quick summary of what you saw, followed by a reasonably clear photo. It's not hard. People do it all the time. You should, too.

And no excuses about not having a camera. It was just Christmas. Unless you've been here for less than 10 days, you should have asked Santa to get you one. Or save your pennies and get one yourself.

(Actually, that's my find for today: a CLS63. No, I didn't sneak into somone's house. Yes, that car sounds absolutely bad-ass. Ugly, but bad-ass.)

You don't like the CLSs? I've seen two of them and thought they were pretty good looking, though not my favorite.

Lately;

- Heaps of EVO's
- Couple of Supra's
- Silver BMW M6 (can't. stop. drooling)
- Nice black late 80's/early 90's Porsche
- Nice silver Honda S2000 with 19" or so wheels
- Bajillions of non GT-R Skylines

The previous DYSAGT thread just asked for people to say what they'd seen. It led to some pretty outlandish claims, and, well, rather devalued the whole thing.

So, now, we have a new thread, and new rules:
  • Please, only list cars that are interesting in some way. We don't want to see anything run-of-the-mill listed. In the previous thread, people announced having seen a BMW 328i, or a Nissan 240SX. These sorts of cars are not interesting, unless there is something specific about the car itself that makes it unusual, like seeing a new model on/before launch day, or a particularly good custom job. Cars worth less than $20,000 US when new will struggle to qualify as "interesting".
  • Don't just state the name of the car. Give us a picture at least - even if it's a crap one from a camera phone. If you can't show us the car, how can we believe that you saw it? And don't just replicate an image from Supercars.net or the vendor's web site: we want to see THE car that you saw.
  • Give us some context. Don't just post up a pic of a car and say that you saw it. It's much more interesting if you give us some context. Where/when/what you were doing when the sighting took place, for example.
  • Dealerships and Manufacturer/Tuner sponsored car shows do not count. This means that a race meeting/track day/concourse show/owner's club meeting does count. However, everyday "traffic" sightings are more interesting.

Please feel free to use the Reputation system to display your approval or otherwise of someone's claim. And please try to resist the temptation to slow-chat.

no body has photos? jeez

Seriously, how many times does it need to be said?

If you're posting about the cars you've seen today, you NEED to be posting photographs, or you're in the wrong thread. It's not a complex request.

Love you guys. :D

Love Bentley too for releasing a convertible just in time for winter. That photo was taken December 16, the day the vehicle came out.

Looks like you guys could use the pics. :)

You know, that could be kind of disrespectful to folks like Chaser who do posts lots of pics.

Just sayin'.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I just prefer Doug's pics to sideways pictures of cars with blurry females. Not to mention, Doug posts (posted?) many more pictures and post more frequently than Chaser anyway.

M5power - you must be a car chaser. All those nice pics. :)

Last pic, that black car in the shade, is that a corvette Z06??

Nope look at the wheels see the yellow in the center(those wheels dont look like Chevy/GM factory wheels), its a Prancing Horse :sly: (modena-spyder??!)
