Is this rare? I don't ever remember seeing an W140 SEL before...

300selfw1.jpg

I thought all SEL's were 2-door cars? I could, of course, be totally wrong. :dunce:

A white Honda S2000 with a front bumper and what to be a very nice set of black wheels. It also had a hardtop on it. I also saw a Z3 Coupe, which I have only seen maybe a handful of them.

Aston Martin V8.

That's my favorite Aston Martin. Well, not that particular year, but the old V8's in general. And it looks better in convertible form. A ~1978 V8 Volante should do nicely.

I noticed that a lot of people are not posting pictures. Not being a moderator or anything, I can't tell anyone what to do, but it would be awful nice to see the cars that you're talking about. Like this:

Aston Martin DB9 Volante

I was actually walking by, getting lunch on this block when I saw it, but I felt too self-conscious stopping to take a photo with so many people around. When I left the area (in the car), I took a quick shot of it and of the next one...

Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Cabriolet

The "6.3AMG" logo is my favorite car logo for the year, both for how it looks and what it stands for. This is the second one I found in this neighborhood; the other was in silver.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI Limited

Not exactly a special car, but kind of rare nonetheless (1 of 400 in this color, 800 in total). This is the second one in this color (also seen earlier). Kind of a lousy picture, but he caught me off guard and I wasn't about to follow him onto an onramp that would take me 20 minutes out of my way. It's not a Bugatti or anything....

See? That wasn't so hard. :P

Thanks.

I saw 2 New Audi TTs today, my first and both within 5 mins on the M4. I would have gotten a photo of them, but I've realised my testicles can't stand the radiation of two mobiles in my pocket, so until I get the number transfered (5th Jan) there won't be any pics from me.

You'd be amazed what they can and cannot do.

At the airport the other day i parked beside a new Audi TT, first time i've seen one upclose. Would have taken a photo but the camera was at home.

Have also seen a few Porsches, couple of R32 Skyline GT-R's, couple of R34 Skyline GT-R V-Spec's, new Jaguar XK and others i can't remember.

Audi TTs? Phones? Testicles?

On a trip down to Sandringham (In Aus) Hospital, there was about 3-4 Mercedes S500's on the freeway, aswell as a CLS500.

On the way back however, we (my family) spotted a black Lamborghini Murcielago Coupe in the Albert Park area (Where the GP is held), the guy was revving it at a stop light and when he went to take off he STALLED IT! I said to my dad that it was probably the Flappy-Paddle gearbox that it had.
Just down the road, he went to pull into a service station and scraped the nose of it entering the gas station, lol.

Theres also a Brabus dealership just near the entrance onto the West-Gate freeway, but i havent been near enough to it to see whats inside.

P.S: If any of you guys are calling Shenanigans on this story, ask other Melbournians to vouch for me on the Brabus dealer. :sly:

if he stalled it i doubt he had the flappy paddle gearbox....

I'm pretty sure it's a Smart Car dealership isn't it? With the big Smart Car tower.

Well, i'm positive that he had the Paddle Shifters, as we could see them from the front of the car, he may have not stalled it but it sure seemed that way, it lurched forward and we heard the engine cut out, he gassed about 3 seconds later though.

Me: Close, its behind that older building behind the Smart tower.

the paddle shift works basicly the same as an auto so you dont control the clutch so it is extremely hard to stall if at all possible, maybe you just seen the indictor stalks

Ah that could be possible too then, i forgot that the clutch isnt manually controlled, come to think of it, he may have just stopped to let a Fiesta past on the left :S

What is it with chicks posing? I watched a girl walk up to a Honda NSX the other day, strike a 'pose' (classic - both hands on the hood, legs spread, ass stuck out) then walk off as if nothing had happened. Strange world we live in.
