Season 1 timeline was there quickly because they needed to show you that they are "serious" this time and to make you buy the deluxe edition. Now they have all the time in the world. The only obligation they have is, to actually release Season 2 at some point, but it doesn't matter when.
If we take the experience from D4 clubs, it can also be when the player count is already in serious decline and they try to revive the sales a bit.

So all the time in the world = tomorrow . :)

I would not say atrocious as they are using the game for official WRC esports and the same guy CM has used to test dirt2.0 is competing in it and said It was good (marketing statement or not and that applies anyway to dirt 2 too).
The WRC7 physics are very bad. Cars are way twitchy, and have you ever tried to roll one? The game freaks out for a bit and tries it's hardest to put you back on your wheels.

Nothing feels natural.

So far I’m really enjoying the new FFB update. I can finally feel the difference in surface traction through the steering wheel, rather than just visually. I can also now feel the curbs on Hell in Norway, like I could in DR.
For me personally, the surface FFB was the only thing missing from this game, and now that’s it’s been implemented I can see myself playing this title for a long time.

Well, they added something good without ruining anything. That's great :)
I don't like much gravel noise so I'll keep the Suspension setting low. But it still adds something.

Agreed just a nice little detail/speed rumble, 30 seems about right for me. GTR Technical put an updated setting suggestion up on YouTube today. Mines similar to his lighter setting. I'm searching for that sweet spot, between a tight centre with correct weight and good slip/traction feel, it's feeling real close.

Season 2 announcement coming tomorrow Friday. It was confirmed yesterday on the official forum. They have been waiting for pending licenses.

Looking forward to it.

.

Licensing is always king as I said on previous page. I expect we'll see those 2 group B RX cars and probably the last 3 rallies from DR1. Maybe some cars that have been seen having sound recorded? 98 Impreza, 206, an F2 Nissan and more been seen. Will be interesting.

huh? updated to 1.4.1 yesterday. Now want to start DR2.0 via Steam and yet another update of 4.6GB. Or is it the same?
After download nothing news? Anyone else had the same?

I can't go as far as to say I'm disappointed. We knew S2 would focus on RX and that exactly what it has done. Until they said last month that there would be some rally content in it I was fully expecting a RX only package so to get 2 rally cars and arguably the best rally location from DR1 is a great bonus.

Pretty happy with the roadmap. I wish they’d swapped Latvia & Germany around, but that’s just personal preference. Excited to have some classic RX cars in the game as well.

Incidentally, I have pretty much played through the RX portion of the game. I’ve won the Masters career championship and the World RX championship on 91 difficulty with no discernible trouble – except at Mettet, but I‘m not very good there anyway.

The thing is though, that the difficulty is still horribly unbalanced. With a good run, I was about 3s ahead of the AI at Barcelona (dry), and 10s at Hell (wet). And at Mettet I was nowhere in dry conditions (P10 in the intermediate standings, barely qualified for the semis), and then I won my semifinal and the final by roughly 8-10s as well. That’s just ridiculous.

I’m now trying my hand at the rally championships in free play. Loving the Mini so far, but I set the difficulty a bit too low (70).

EDIT: Yeah, the difficulty is too low. Just won Wainarama Point Forward by 1:16.

I'm stoked for the Lancia, Wales, Vintage RX and Latvia. Being someone who loves Rally and RX equally, it's a nice mix.

Same. I’m excited for Latvia, Wales and the new RX cars. Lots of content to enjoy. Will be interesting to see if they include South Africa RX in the future.
