Did Australia rally on the Sierra Cosworth and oh my goodness, this game has improved so much with v1.3. With default setting of steering sensivity=50 and linerarity=4, rwd drive so good now

Can't wait for Germany, and pray god they end up adding the last three rallies from dr1 with these handling on the controller. Epic rally game for years if so

Imo they will:
-custom championships mode has 12 slots with 9 rallies up to today

-the guy recording pacenotes said It did It for 12 rallies

- there are wales and finland flags all over the actual stages

-CM said on Twitter there will be rallies in season two (do not expect brand new content at this stage)

- everyone is asking for It, stupid to deliver anything else.

My prediction: we Will get wales and finland within season 2. Not Greece, that would be my First choice in terms of content variety and landscape.

Not sure on season 3. Sales figures are bad, stop It decision vs. Cash-in with dlc for rally fans.

Finland and Wales will be orgasmic with these fixed RWD cars and their now properly working locked differential, constantly applying throttle with minimum steering inputs which is working godly after 1.3, as you go can manage going "straight" through the stage just like you have to do in real life with RWD cars on gravel with locked diffs. Can't wait. And the tarmac handling is very good now too regardless the critcism.

The fact that in this game I only use RWD cars specially H3 (Sierra; BMW; R5 Copa Turbo etc) can only mean good things. They're so adictive now I can't stop.

Btw did you manage to win Poland rally on "medium" with one of these four cars yet?, or with Stratos and old Cmr Escort?, Jesus I have the feeling that I flyall over the layout, no mistakes, and still gets owned by 10 seconds or so at the end. And this medium settings only..

And why do you think they will release two of the last three rallies only and leave Greece behind?, man, Greece will be the ultimate drug with DR2 handling as long as they don't touch it as it is now in 1.3.

Regarding last point, i have read in the official forum that they found in steam game files that 2 rallies will be released in season 2 together with rx tracks. Greece, which i like a lot, does not seem to be a fan favourite. However Just speculations i want them all asap, and before wrc8 comes out.

oh my goodness the legendary Acrópolis Rally with its signature roads not a favourite?, and now with the possibility of enjoying it with the updated handling?, what the **** people..

Well, seems it Is behind wales and finland in preferences.

However looks like a season 3 might be underway according to steam files. We Will see.

If we get all DR1 rallies we can set-up a serious custom season with 12 events x 12 stages each with even some WRC calendar fidelity.

Monte Carlo
Sweden
Greece
Argentina
New Zeland
Finland
Germany
Poland
US
Wales
Spain
Australia

As far as I know they haven't changed a thing physics wise, so not sure what you mean they 'fixed'?

Wales behind Finland seriously?, oh well

Yeah man this off/online both is precisely what I have been waiting for since the days of the old good WRC games from Evolution. When is the final season supposed to come?

I'd prefer Greece over Finland, but if anything I would like to see Wales above all. I'll be happy with anything, really.

Anyways, new content today! Anyone know what year the Impreza is yet? Hear it's a 2008 car, but haven't seen any confirmation. Looking forward to the Focus, too. Speaking of, I would still love to see the early 2000s Focus and Impreza in the game, those were two of my favorites from Dirt Rally 1.

For me it would be:

Monte
Sweden
New Zealand
Argentina
USA
Greece
Poland
Finland
Germany
Spain
Wales
Australia

Purely based on the average of when the events have taken place in recent years thats what would feel right for me personally. Using NZ instead of Mexico and it has typically been an earlier rally when it was there, usually after Argentina but in the absence of Mexico it could go earlier like the early noughties. USA effectively replacing Portugal. Greece and Poland following each other as Poland replaced Greece back in 2013 I believe so makes sense and both usually came before Finland. Then the run in from Finland to the end has barely changed. I still think Wales should be the finale as it has been so much in the UK but in recent years Australia gets the nod and although Spain is after Wales in the 2019 WRC calendar, to me it has always been before Australia and Wales.

Just my 2 cents and how I would have it. :D

Also I cant try the new cars which have been released today (Impreza and Focus 2000cc class) because one Xbox One S bit the dust. On the plus side I have an Xbox One X arriving tomorrow. Be interesting to see the graphical differences.

If I can get the disc for DR2 out of my S as the manual eject isn't working.

We have known since the DLC announcement that it's a 2008. 👍 Complete with Solberg livery.

Do not know.

Thank you. I've only been following the news of the game in this thread, so forgive me if I missed the confirmation it was a 2008.

That's fine. There was a discussion about it but that may have been in the car list thread. It was initially portrayed to be the 2001 by the social media person before she corrected it confirmed it to be the 2008 about a week later.

She then kinda had to confirm that the 2001 is coming as well, which surely will be joined by the 2001 Focus, no doubt.

Did you guys miss the gossip that surfaced where a few ppl on discord traced a FB post where a Subaru Impreza 1997 and a Grp A Legacy was going through sound recording somewhere in England? Someone then spotted a person that looks awfully much alike the sound recorder at Codemasters.

Typical "take my Money" situation

2003 Subaru for the win. Yeah the '95 version is the legend, but 2003 was so beautiful.
100% with you there. The 2003-05 Solberg car is what got me into rally (and Subarus) in the first place. I was obsessed with the car, ended up buying a 2004 STI for myself later on. 👍

The 97/98 Impreza will always be my favorite and I dare to claim it's by far the most iconic WRC car in history.

Agreed, and it looked even better when the 555 livery was eventually replaced with the Subaru star cluster. This being the cover car on the original Colin McRae Rally was also a major reason why I got into DiRT in the first place. Back in 1998 I entered a local gas station, which happened to sell Playstation games, and CMR was on display with this cool car on the cover. I just had to save up money for it despite knowing nothing about the game at all. I finally came back to buy it a week or so later and still have it to this day.

Walking into stores to find games you didn't know existed is something that made growing up in the 1990s special. I also still remember the day I randomly found Gran Turismo 2 on a store shelf. Then the internet became a thing and ruined the element of surprise for everyone who didn't read gaming magazines.

Definitely. Take it that means it's sadly not if the game then? How can we relive those glorious Colin McRae Rally moments of the 90's w/out it! :(

There’s also a 2019 Aston Martin GT3 in the background.

It could be Codemasters but it could also be Playground Games or Slightly Mad Studios; all 3 are based in the UK.

I'll stick with Lancia Delta for most iconic WRC car.

Anyway, I managed to improve the wheel settings. Turns out that the mistake was lowering FFB settings. I set suspension and wheel to 120 and now it feels much better for me.
It's not perfect, but somehow similar to DR1.
