downloaded in 10 mins, no problems whatsoever.

1st attempt went to about 98% then failed.
2nd attempt 0% for about 8 minutes then failed.
3rd attempt 0% for about 10 minutes, then I was expecting it to fail.
But bizarrely the install screen appeared and installed in a matter of seconds. Sucess!

When does PD wakeup and see that they are sucking at updating. I really feel this little issue should be worked out fast as seeing this is our only way of geting damage.

Mine is failing about a minute after it starts. It's done this about 30 times. I wish we could download it and transfer it to the PS3 with a flash drive.

I've been installing the recent Firmware Updates via the PC-->USB-->PS3 route, because I think it is safer, and faster. After reading of so many problems with the GT5P Update, I was very hesitant to even attempt it. I decided to give it a go anyway.

Maybe I am very lucky, but I am in South Texas, I have standard Roadrunner Cable, my PS3 is at least 50 Feet away from, with three walls in between, my Netgear Router, and it took me less than ten minutes to download and install this update. The progress bar never stopped.....progressing.

I started downloading at 8:52 am, and finished with the installation at 9:01 am, CDST. I hope things get better for those having problems.

it almost makes me happy I have work all day today, because hopefully by the time I'm finally able to start downloading, most of the people will have it and the servers wont be as slammed.

NTSC copy updated 1st try in under 30secs.

PAL copy, took 4 hours and 100+ errors to finally connect, but the download progress bar has moved less then 1mm in 35mins.

I'm on the east coast of the US.

Guys, I know the game saves how much you downloaded, so each time does not have to be 100%. But what If I turn off my console..? I turn it off and restarted it ..

LIke I stated in the other thread, This is first time It happen to me. Most Errors before were 3.

Doesn't this patch improve download speeds or something like that? Maybe it'll improve the patch updates in the future.

Also, Polyphony - please sort out the progress bar. It's amateur that that doesn't even work after one download fail.

Yes I hear the DL speed is improved after you get the patch. Because of some coding.

Spent nearly 2 hours, and succeeded!

Jesus christ. For a relatively minor update, this thing sure is a headache. I haven't been keeping count, but I have to be past my 15th try by now.

On my current try, the progress bar isn't moving at all. Seems like it should've gotten an error by now.

Im here in germany. It took about 25 minutes to download.

I didn't really measure how long it took but mine went rather quickly and with zero errors on the first try. Even with the wireless connection.

Man, this sucks for you! I went in around 9 AM EST here and it took about 15 mins to update - no failures and no issues for me - I hardwired the PS3 just for this but usually run wireless.
