Kaz is twitting something regarding DLC, someone translate please..

2)I'm sorry. The next update (late) can be changed at will. RT @ darkness69su828: @ I was allowed to buy Kaz_Yamauchi DLC! R35 is a question not so ...
1)Will also be the end of the update. RT @ evoxracer: @ Setchingu of LSD in a car Kaz_Yamauchi DLC is not why
( google translator)

My sarcasm detector is in the shop for repairs, are you being sarcastic?

To avoid confusion, yes I am. There should be a refresh DLC button to restore the paints, the cars should be added to the dealerships as well as being given a ticket to give you the chance to own as many as you like, just put 100,000 price tag on them and set them as un-giftable.

For those who bought the car pack, can you take the stock versions to GT Auto and use the Race Mod feature?
I have tried this with the 89' MX5 (the RM MX5 is a 89' model) and the Dodge Challenger SRT8 too, but it's not going. So there's for each RM car in the DLC pack only one car available.

I am ok with paying multiple times for different accounts if the dlc is good.
What I cannot accept is the need for same region disc, psn account and psn store to get the dlc. Failing any criteria means a restart for anyone wanting the dlc. That's plain wrong, given that there are many valid reasons why one of the criteria is not met.
My sympathy for those who invested much time in their garage and trophies (who are most likely to get dlc) denied due to either disc, account or store not matching. gt5 would be worth at least $10000 if I were to spend the equivalent time working.

Am surprise the DLC doesn't require to have myself and all my family to be from the same country as my PS3/PSN/CreditCard/Game disk/Save Game/Internet Connection/PS3 Remote/HDMI Cable and finally HD TV.

Maybe on DLC pack2 they will requirer that we have a Sony HD TV, Sony Amplifier, Sony headphone and probably have Sony logo tattooed on our d!ck.

That's too bad.

I don't know, the way people need something to be their way or it's wrong, is not the way everything works. There's no reason why we should have any say in how the DLC works. Does any other car game let you re-buy them inside the game?

If LittleBigPlanet has the account ID lock that GT5 DLC has, which it does, why are people so surprised that's how it is for GT5?

Hi, IF it's true that you need to pay to use the DLC for each account you want to use it on, I shall NOT bother buying it FULL STOP, Myself and my two sons play GT5, so NO Way am I buying the download 3 times, infact even though I was excited at the chance of racing round Spa, I'll give up on that dream, because of the principle of it all.
So, I'm just going to carry on enjoying what I have minus the new content available.

I am ok with paying multiple times for different accounts if the dlc is good.

Polyphony love guys like you :(
I just won't do it, I feel like it's a rip-off.

Wow. First of all, it has always been like that and second, just wow...
Ok... let me ask this... Why would you be fine paying for multiple accounts on one machine, when every other dlc ( I know of ) lets you use it like that, even across regions?
Serious question, please explain, I dont get it how you can justify this, whereas the problem you're facing could be likely easily solved without having to pay multiple times for the exact same virtual good.

There just isn’t a good solution for this I can think of.

but there is nothing like that in the PSN setup, and we can only assign the entitlements per User ID.

t would be best if we could attribute the entitlement to use the DLC items to multiple accounts in the same PS3,

Resolving the problem with using the DLC on multiple accounts, is not simple.

At least he concedes that there IS a problem here.

@Kaz_Yamauchi DLC being locked to one account is wrong. I love Spa but this is not acceptable. Sorry, but I will not buy. Good luck!

I don't know, the way people need something to be their way or it's wrong, is not the way everything works.
It is the way that objective concepts work.

There's no reason why we should have any say in how the DLC works.
If PD don't want to look like a bunch of greedy fools, I say we do.

If LittleBigPlanet has the account ID lock that GT5 DLC has, which it does, why are people so surprised that's how it is for GT5?
Does LBP have items that cost real money to get in the game, can only be used once and then have to be rebought with real money to get?

Did the LBP developers know that many people who own LBP have multiple accounts specifically for that game, generally for online purposes?

If either of those are true, then at best GT5 is copying a similar level of sleaze from some other Sony developer and I don't see how that is an actual defense. If not, which I'm assuming to be the case, then your point is invalid even moreso.

The locked DLC to account ID doesn't affect me and if its not the first game to have this then I can understand.

What I can't understand is how you can not allow users to change they're country but then region lock the DLC to the same region as the disc.

People do move around so either let them change their country and PSN store or make the DLC region free.

If the DLC was included in the Spec 2 update how can it be region locked when I'm able to use all the items that came for free with the update?

I absolutely love the game and this is the first time I have complained but I am not starting the whole game over again get access to the DLC.

That's good, hopefully he rethinks the whole ID lock thing. 👍

Fantastic, well done, 100% agree, I'll do exactly the same.

edit, tweeted Kaz the same.

I understand Sony doesn't want us to change our country to get game before their official release in some country but people do move now.

I have lived in the past years:
- France
- Romania
- Morroco
- Canada
- Guadeloupe

If we were limited to 1 change per year that would be fine by me, at least once settle i would have the possibility to buy with my current CC and have the correct store with the correct DLC available.

what about the accounts made in countries without psn support?

Those are the vast majority of countries btw, and I'm not buying dlc for a lvl0 US account.

lol autoquote

I understand PD's decision. That way they might earn some money, but at the same time they piss off the whole community AND leave without dlc people from countries without psn support.

hope kazz does something about it, maybe saying that it was a bug or something (public relations 101)

The solution is actually very easy:
When someone activates the DLC ingame, it should put a tag about that in the gamedata (which is the same for all users on the PS3), I think right now it only is in your save data, and in your PSN account. If it is in your gamedata, it can be detected from other users accounts (like it is done with lap records now) and activated there.

Kaz wanted to make it realistic. When I bought my Pinto, I only got one. When I bought a suit for my friends wedding I only got one, when I bought a can of paint to paint my bathroom, it only worked once, then it was empty.

Geez kids these days. It is a simulator after all.

when you bought the game disc (once) you could use it on any account. Hell you can even take it out & put it in another ps3. You are also able to re-buy any car you like. Paid dlc should be the same. The cars in the dlc should have gone into the dealerships to be bought again & again just as you can with the other 1000+ cars you bought with the disc

MAG also did this, but there was a ****load of uproar from community and they finally included them in dlc patches that worked on all accounts.
There's hope then. 👍

It isn't their decision. They were the ones who made it, they're not the ones selling it directly to us.

He wasn't serious. I partly agreed with what he sarcastically said though.

People ask for too much now because of convenience, unlike in the past when there were no choices.

Well until that changes I won't be purchasing the DLC.

This. ^^ Just like every other game.

No matter how I slice it I will now have to pay out $60 total for the DLC. My son got a $20 card for this content. My daughter will want it and if I want to run any touring cars with my friends I have to have it. Now WTF I'm I suppose to do? Now I will have a 4 way war in my house over this!!!! Thanks alot PD you could have worned us of this!!

You really do feel the need to defend everything PD do don't you? No other racing game has DLC like this, they all use a sensible method. Either you only need one version of a car, typically arcade racers without customization or wear or the cars are added to the game to buy like any other. Forza for example.

OK so I`m pretty much screwed. I live In Romania and the is NO PSN Store in our country. My main account is made with my nationality as a romanian so I cannot access PSN Store from my main account....:grumpy:....I only have a secondary british account which I use sparingly anyway which wont help...

I guess that`s my punishment for being a patriot.:ouch:
