A step-by-step is not really possible, because PD has to do this.
As for the exotic combinations, there probably won't be a fix. A lot of games have region locked DLC.

I understand but I live in NA, bought a NA copy of GT5 it just so happens my account was started in the Middle East.

If Sony doesn't allow users to change their country then they shouldn't be making their DLC region locked.

What??? No issue? Maybe you are missing something, there are people who does not have a PSN from their country. How they can buy the DLC? No DLC for them because they are a minority? LoL 👎

It's a shame some of you once again go in "selfsish mode" when something is going wrong. We all should try to be helpful. I don't have this problem but I hope they fix it SOON.

Psn isnt something new and that was very well known long before GT5 came out, too. Sorry dont want to sound rude, just saying there's a solution that doesn't cost you money, even I admit, you had to prevent this beforhand.

What if I bought a PS3 in Canada, moved to Dubai, setup an PSN ID there and then moved back to Canada. I buy GT5 here, play it on a NA PS3 but my ID is from Dubai. I shouldn't be allowed to buy the DLC?

Downloaded the complete pack and have just been playing for a couple of hours. Boy oh boy, is Spa Francorchamps beautiful or what!? The track surface looks more realistic than anything I've seen in any console or PC racing game/sim.

Also in love with the R32 and R33 Skyline race car and their "90's JGTC" looks.

All in all a great DLC pack if you ask me! 👍

I don't really care about the delay. It's a minor annoyance at best. I'd be happy to wait. It IS just a video game. Which is also why I'm not buying it at all if it's locked to specific accounts. If we don't have to buy multiple copies of the game just so people who live in the same house and play on the same console can all enjoy it, we shouldn't have to do the same with the DLC. Fine, restrict it by console to try and reduce piracy, no problem there.

If Sony has their way, if you want to have friends over to watch a movie they'll all have to buy and bring copies of the DVD.....

Wait, there are users playing their UK/US whatever version of GT5 with their country PSN id. I wonder why someone can even create a PSN id for a particular country if there is no PSN services available later. They weren't aware about this GT5 DLC issue at all, seems like most of other devs doesn't use region lock DLCs. So again please STOP being a selfish. KY noticed about the single id issue, so let's people talk about their problems. They still want to buy and play this ****in DLC with their main savedata.

Oh and the time need to progress Career mode worth MUCH more than 12$ if you ask me.

This is a quite a crapy situation for those who cant download DLC.

But on the bright side, I'm sure many of you have PSN friends that will have at least Spa downloaded. Just ask them to set it at default in thier lounge and you'll be able to use at any time, wheter your friend is online or not. So not all that bad...
Meanwhile PD might solve this problem.

I dont think Im being selfish, just telling you ALL dlc is being region specific, ever was. Correct me if Im wrong, other than that I agree, I dont know why you feel the need to attack me...

Also if they would stop that stupid locking of gamesaves, this problem wouldnt even exist, GT5 saves weren't locked to a certain account for example.

hey wait guys I think I have the problem figured out....... Microsoft bought SONY without telling anyone.

This exactly how Microsoft does it with ALL the DLC for all their games they support 1DLC for Each Account. and no sharing between accts. or moving DLC to any acct if you make a mistake in your purchase.(know this for a fact as I get these types of calls all day long at work)

I took it as "starting 18th October for one month"... the same as any other discounted content the store has ever seen for PS+.

While I have no doubt I'll be refunded the difference, I am not paying full price for an item that had a promised discount against it.

I haven't been able to read through the whole thread, but I have a question about my specific situation. Hopefully someone can give me some advice.

What if I have a second PS3 in a different room, and the second one has only my primary PSN account on it? I was planning on buying a second this weekend to use primarily as a media player in a different, but was going to install GT5 and use my primary account and game save. So if I buy DLC and install it on my Primary system with my primary account, will I be able to use it on the other PS3 with the same account? Or is there something in place that doesn't let me use the same account on two different devices?

I understand that my kids will get shafted with the DLC on their accounts on the primary system, but they are kids and need to toughen up.

US PSN, US PS3, US Game. 1 week delay for no apparent reason.

Start reading Kaz's tweets. Some of you are shameful to be blaming PD for this.

PD made the game. PD made the DLC. And even in the event that PD was somehow forced to release it the way it was without Kaz's knowledge, PD did nothing to make that fact known to consumers despite having to have known themselves since the second Spec II started development.

Wait a minute, how come all the other cars can be shared between accounts? For example, the Chrome Line and Stealth cars I have are also available for my Japanese account. Aren't these technically "DLC"?

So with this DLC, the cars will only appear on my American account?
Will the cars show up in dealerships for other accounts?

I'm not understanding how when you append downloaded data to the already existing data, the track and cars just won't show up on other accounts? That doesn't make sense at all.

i stupidly brought the complete pack and due to the lack of download/install made me download the race car pack in confusion. £6 extra quid spent and doubles of all of the DLC cars. *facepalm*

Finally a good input, after a year, regulars GT5 users don't need to get savedata from others. I for one don't need it even if it's available. So, they could remove savegame lock helping their users with region specific issues, and GAIN MORE MONEY because they will buy DLC. So once again it's up to PD.

Shouldn't it be illegal to force consumers to pay for something they already own? It would be asinine to charge me to use the power windows in my car! AND then charge me again for my wife to use hers and then the kids to use theirs!

We purchase these games, the content is IN THE GAME, then we have to pay AGAIN to use that content? If this sort of nonsense went on with "normal" business, the public would be outraged and these game publishers would be exposed, then answering to congress.

OK so I`m pretty much screwed. I live In Romania and the is NO PSN Store in our country. My main account is made with my nationality as a romanian so I cannot access PSN Store from my main account........I only have a secondary british account which I use sparingly anyway which wont help...

I guess that`s my punishment for being a patriot.

Funny thing is, there are about 50 countries with psn support.

Sony/pd/kaz did pretty poorly.

Does he not realize the Signature & Collectors content is NOT locked to the account that purchased it?!?! 99% of my paid DLC is usable with other accounts. Someone is lying or Sony just flipped the "let's screw our consumer base" switch.

Did it actually give you doubles of the race cars or only one of each? I hope that Sony and PD can get this solved for next Tuesday as I still want to get all of the dlc.
