Do you know anyone in your City, Town or Neighbourhood that plays GT5P??

For years I have always wondered who else in my City that plays GT5P or any other online game. Do they live next door to me or around the corner, or miles away??

I was playing Race Driver Grid the other day(Only for choice of more tracks and to pass time until GT5 comes out) as GT5P is becoming scarce of racers lately. I found someone who lives a short distance from me by talking with them on my headset. I was just wondering if any of you have met or know anyone in your area that plays GT and become online friends with.

Knowing this I think it would be a great Idea to team up with that person to start your own Race Team on GT. Making them a friend and having them on your friends list is all good but I think that we should also have the chance to have online chat through headsets so that we could speak with each other, but only beofre the race and after the race to avoid anyone from having anything bad to say while racing.

The option to mute them should be included if you dont want to hear anyone else at all. This would also give everyone the chance to find out which event everyone is in to shorten the time searching for the most popular event at that time rather that just pushing the button at a certain time to get into a race event. Example: 00 - 15 - 30 - 45 mins past the hour.

Just a suggestion that maybe some of you may agree or may not.

Tell me what you think and please let me know of your encounters of anyone that you have met online that may live in your area.

I know that Maffski lives within a 10 - 20 minute drive of me living in the same county and sausages lives within walking distance living in the next town to me. 👍

Edit - I thought this was just relating to people from the site or meeting online. About 5 or 6 of my freinds pick up prologue when it first game out, but like most of the general gaming population, good bored pretty soon. None of them take it that seriously and have joined here. Im sure more will pick it up when the full game is put out.

My boss plays GT5P. We've compared notes on tracks and races which makes some people shake their heads. Haven't raced with/against him on line though. Could be one of those "career limiting moves".

When I go visit a specific relative, I drive by the house of another GT5P regular. Schedules prevent us from racing each other online.

I know a group of three real life friends who used to play GT5P as a group back around Jan/Feb this year. Two have wandered away from that group, the lot were all pretty competent.

I also know of two recent converts to GT5P (from another racing game) who are real-life friends.

And, one GT5P'er described to me the view from his porch ... he lives on the same block as one of my aunts ... several thousand km away from me.

I don't know of anyone in my town that plays GT5P (or any other GT game for that matter).

But, FoolKiller lives only about 80 miles from me, and Jordan-believe it or not-is actually from a town about 25 minutes east of where I live I found this out during a meeting we had in the race chat a couple of months ago. It's quite possible we actually may have ran into each other at some point 💡

Only one of my friends knows about GT but he hasn't played Prologue so I think he's waiting for GT5. We were talking about it and we joked that we were going to camp outside of EB Games to get the game!

I only know 1 person who actually owns a PS3 and they dont play racing games Most my friends are into PCs rather than consoles, or are still playing the previous generation of consoles, a couple own 360s though. May have something to do with the price of a PS3 out here... $700AUD PS3 vs a $450 xbox 360.

I met "ceiling_fan" from this forum last year. I was actually looking to find people near me to race with and found "SFGT Alumni" joined in found out that "ceiling_fan" lives 3 blocks away from me.

There's people in my 'city', but as far as I know, nobody anywhere near me. Most people are in the outer suburbs while I'm one of the only ones in the 'city', or 'inner area'.

Actually it's his fault I ever got onto GT, I used to be anti-consoles, sticking to CMR and DTM on my PC. But since Codemasters really lost it with their latest releases of BOTH titles (IMO) I'm happy it turned out as it did!

Toninho? Is he also driving drift in real life? I know him. I've been a drift fan for years and was happy to attend first croatian drift challenge a couple of weeks ago.

Other than that - I'm from Slovenija and there are quite a few players here too. Some more regular than others...

GT5P, there was one guy, he sold it.

I have the game, played it handful of times. These days, everybody I know is on Call of Duty.
