Wishing and hoping that it will one day come true...

No, you were right the first time. :sly:

I'm still holding out hope that Race Mod is going to return, along with a Livery Editor of some sort. The base model cars with their white or carbon fiber bodies indicates to me that the team are working in this direction. With Race Mod and a Livery Editor, we could make any number of cars and hopefully in any racing class we want, within reason of course.

With Ascari Resort being in the game, I want, dare I say it, the Ascari and its GT3 cars.

And yes, this is a Forza 4 image, and why I want Race Mod, or at least a wide range of racing body kits, and a Livery Editor. If we could do this, there would be no limit to the number of race cars of all classes in Gran Turismo.

And dittos to sparkytooth's post. 👍

That car/livery looks kinda cool. Maybe Ascari will get in, who knows. And I agree fully on Race mods, some of the new (and actually old-ish) cars that were added to the game beg to be race modded. Like the C7 Stingray (see below) or The Ferrari 430 or Any of the currently available Maseratis. As soon as you mentioned the Livery editor, I noticed that the new Base models would make a great canvas. I also hope you are right about the blank gray SLS GT3. The gray is antagonizing and dare I say, the anniversary editions of the SLS, R8, and GTR would look better with side/hood numbers like the Stealth cars or base models.
There are many GT3 cars out there, that's true and the list is growing every year but only a few are really necessary to complete GT6 lineup.

Aston Martin DBRS9
Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3
Audi R8 LMS
Audi R8 LMS Ultra
BMW Z4 GT3

BMW Alpina B6 GT3
Chevrolet Camaro GT3
Ferrari 458 Italia GT3
Ford GT GT3
Lamborghini Gallardo LP600 GT3
McLaren MP4-12C GT3
Mercedes SLS AMG GT3
Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3

Porsche 911 GT3 R
You missed the Callaway C7 GT3 and the SRT Viper GT3-R. One thing I wish we could do as well would be to change the spoilers and ground effects on the Camaro SS '10 race car to resemble a Camaro GT3. I actually tried to do this, needless to say it didn't work :(

Back at the Silverstone Event, Kaz showed a screen with a whole slew of rear wings, not just the five or so we have now, so I'm banking on an update to the entire body modding system, along with Race Mod being patched in. And, dare I say it, that Livery Editor, which will be almost essential for the creation of our promised online leagues.

There should be tons more re-colors in my opinion. Plenty of race car liveries people would love to have.

They don't even have to have official GT3 cars as far as I'm concerned. They could just have a few generic race cars based off GT3 cars like they did with TCs and RMs in GT5. That way they wouldn't feel a need to replicate the cockpit details of those racecars, and could include them in the game much sooner. It's not like they haven't modelled most of the base cars the GT3 class is based off anyway.

So I would think generic racecars similar to GT3 class would be quite easy to implement, and then having a livery editor on top of that would give the greatest field depth in any Gran Turismo racing category to date.

oh yeah, the Camaro Circuit Racer, maybe if Cie Games loses the license to this car theres hope

Never heard of them, probably why I didn't know.

Exactly this ^. They already have the RM Camaro that is somewhat based of the GS/GT4 Riley so why not make a more dynamic GT3 version as well. We already know how much PD love multiples of one car :sly:

I'd like to see a few more cars added, but more importantly to me would be seeing the livery-less manufacturer model, two or three liveried cars, and a base model for each of the ones we have now.

Agree. I'd start with the LM/RM cars as well as some Stealth cars (McLaren F1 and Mercedes SLS AMG stealth come to mind) and start tuning from there.
Also, agreed about the Camaro RM. We should be able to change the spoiler and ground effects on it dangit! Has anyone used the Z06 RM/LM yet? how does it do with GT3 cars?

This is just what I asked for in the first venerable GT3 Class thread some wise member began earlier in the year. While I would like accurate league representation, I want more than that. Over the years, racing leagues have allowed all sorts of cars in their rosters, including the numerous FIA GT Classes. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Aston Martin, Jaguar, BMW... the list is almost endless. GT6 has a huge number of cars begging for Race Mod treatment. And I'm all for bumping those rosters up with fantasy cars and liveries. Done right of course.

But more than GT3, I want to see race cars in real or fantasy leagues all up and down the scale. Recently, race leagues have embraced lower budget, lower powered classes, opening up racing to a wider range of participants who don't need to be millionaires or funded by major corporations. There are a bunch of cars that would be well suited for this, from SCAA Miata Cup racing through 300hp +/- cars. Focuses, RSXs, Mustangs, BMWs, S2000s... Kaz really needs to put some things together.

Of course if we get our Race Mod and Livery Editor, we can do all this ourselves, but it would be nice to see something from PD's side.

Agreed. Now that you said Mustangs and S2000s, I was thinking. What if the real Mustang GT3 came in as an RM version of the standard Mustang. I might even predict that the Callaway Corvette C7 GT3 could debut as an RM model if it can't be guaranteed as a separate model. Or maybe an GT3-capable S2000 RM. Come on PD, make it happen!

No, there isnrt enough. Yes we got the R8 GT3(s) and BMW.But what about Ferrari? especially #51 AF Corse (GT2)👍 or Mclaren MP4-12c GT3s, Astom Martins, list goes on. Game just feels lacking in this area. Also, what about the R18 E-Tron? or the Toyota TS030 Hybrid?👎

The Ferrari 458 GT3 is not possible since T10 has license to that, also the R18 E-Tron and the TS030, well the problem for that one is they cannot recreate well its hybrid system unlike the Prius, Model S, CR-Z and other hybrids in Gran Turismo

Comments about those GT3 cars you've mentioned
Bentley Continental GT3: hmmmm, maybe but PD needs to add first the Continental Supersports first
Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3: hopefully...
Ford GT Matech GT3: they might need to get rid first the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II including its Test Car ver.
Ferrari 458 GT3: T10 needs to lose the license first to this car before adding it to GT6.
Maserati GranTurismo GT3: they need to add this one really....because I don't like seeing the original GranTurismo S alone
Lamborghini Gallardo GT3: T10 might have the license to that.
SRT Viper GTS-R: Again just like Ferrari and Lamborghini, they need to wait til T10 or Cie Games loses license to that
