Compare it to Forza 3 that was released a year before GT5. They manage to get a bunch of cars that GT5 doesn't have.

Now obviously once Forza 4 comes out with even more cars, GT5 is going to look even more lackluster.

Personally I'd want them to release an update with like 40-50 new cars, as well as give us an ability to race on tracks of our choice against random opponents that have the PP as the car we have chosen. Because right now the only way to do that is via practice where all competitors have the same exact car as you

Gt5 has lots more cars that forza doesnt have than the other way round ( hope this makes sense) but those forza cars do look nice especialy asyon martins and 599xx and i do agree with you about the extra cars

Well PD doesn't have the porshe license so that's out of the question. More cars would've been nice but as a premium takes forever to model it probably would've delayed the game even longer.

I'm with you on the new cars and the tracks of our choice. It's no fun racing against cars that's the exact same as yours.

I've got more cars in GT5 than I could ever drive. I know a lot of people want more premiums, but this casual user is more than satisfied with car selection.

yes, but GT5's double counts their cars.

You don't need 100 Miatas, 100 RX7s, 100 GTRs.

+ a lot of the cars are standard.

I'm a hardcore GT series fan but have to say they need to defiantly add more non-Japanese contemporary cars to stay in the simulation business.

They managed to get the SEAT licence and only put 1 car in, 1 car. Pfttt. Seat do some great cars. I know they are basicly VW and Audi cars but still some fancy cars. plus wouldn't you all love to drive the SEAT CUPRA GT.

Just adding cars is subjective, as for one person who says Car X should be in the game, another will say that Car X should not be included, and Car Y should be modelled instead.

What they need is substantially improved car customisation, personalisation, modification and tuning on the cars we already have.

Cool carlist but,
More Tracks first! 👍

Spa
Imola
Portimao
Le Castellet
Magny Cours
Hockenheim
Silverstone
Sebring
Brands Hatch
Donnington
Bathurst

👍

I agree about wanting more tracks, but why do people keep suggesting mainly modern F1 ones? They would be dull and boring with cars in the popular range of 425-475 PP. Many already are with F1 cars themselves.

No, GT5 has more than enough cars. But indeed, it`s unnecessary to have so many GT-R`s and such.

I agree. I stick with a car and tweak it until it's perfect for me, then move on to another one.

@OP have you already driven every car? If so then that's amazing.

I suspect for the same line of reasoning that says the fictional courses in the game are the bane of the series and should be dutifully removed.

Mate Silverstone, Imola.. stuff like that wont be boring trust me, and an iconic track like Spa, with such a superb layout should always be in a racing game. Donnington Portimao Le Castellet are good GT tracks for GT cars we can use Super GT and DTM there, LMP as well. Bathurst is a legend, Bathurst Legends you know? We can use all the old glories overthere. Anyway I'm ready to every kind of track, even the good old GT stuff like Citta d'Aria, New York, Seattle all the fine classics, Red Rock Valley.. El Capitan .. time to DLC some of those PD! 👍

Im really sick of all the GT Forza fanboy talk... Im also convinced without this crap GT5 would have been a lot better, because PD tried to hard to please the fanboys. Forza is fun a few weeks, but has nothing on the physics or longlivety of GT. 👎
OT are you serious, more cars? What GT5 needs is more tracks, actually all it ever had, Infinion, El Capitan, Grindelwald, etc, etc, etc.
GT feels incomplete without them... but if you need to talk Forza, I guess you just don't know any better.

:-!

Honestly, GT5 is a great game, but it has had its time, it will be close to a year old when Forza 4 comes out, I love GT5, and the whole GT series, but they're problem is they don't put enough desirable cars in, sure they have over 1000, but a lot of them are standards(I personally don't mind it, but a lot of people do) and less desirable cars. I understand people like to drive less desirable cars, such as Suzukis Swifts and VW Beetles, but a lot of people also like to drive more desirable cars, such as Ferraris and Lamborghinis. I like both, but given the choice, I'd rather have a lot of "fast" cars and a few slower cars. As everyone knows, GT5 has more Miatas and Skylines than Libya has rebels, but the thing is, a lot of those can and should be taken out. I was perfectly fine with 3 Miatas(the premium ones) and however many premium Skyines there are, but thats it, there is absolutely no need to have so many of the same car, except to boost your number of cars in the game and so the game looks good "on paper". GT5 needs to add more cars, not just cars PD and Kaz want to add, but what fans want, that way everyone is happy. But they really need more tracks, both fictional and real.

This is the best summer post of the whole Gtplanet forum if you ask me. 👍

in my opinion, they only need to add the staff (cars and tracks) that were left out from previous gt's ...however the tracks is my top priority!

While a couple more cars would be nice. I would rather have tracks ie Spa Road America Sebring etc..The new ALMS/LMS cars in forza 4 are the only things I wish PD would have tried to add.

Of course, we want more cars, more tracks and more events, and more all. And soon. And for free.

It will be a suicide if PD doesn't try to overtake Forza in this race...
