does anyone regret buying the game?

you really bought a ps3 to play 1 game?
its like buying a cooker to only make tv-dinners
I did the same as knestle + bought a Xbox just for FM4 (when the price was right tough).

Doesn't mean we don't buy other games afterwards on those consoles which we also enjoy ;)

What about the GT5 you also mentioned buying for the PS3 which you enjoyed, or do you miraculously have a PS2 version of that?

Many here will agree that GT follows the same format for each game, so why were you surprised?
You got it. Every Gran Turismo until now is the same thing since the first. No inovation at all. It hasn't "evolved". Tire and suspension simulations are part of the game physics, physics that are acclaimed on every game. Gran Turismo is all about the definition of insanity.

Exactly. Plus with the bundle that came with a year of PS plus I got all kinds of free games

Same here with the 360; a right-priced bundle with FM3 a week before FM4 was released was absolutely worth the price, considering the hours those games (as well as FM2, Horizon, and a tiny bit of GPR4) have provided.

As to the question in the OP: nope. I have many issues with the game - a lot of what could have been fixed from GT5 hasn't been, and in some cases, made worse - but even a less-than-stellar GT game is better than most other racing games on the PS3, and I don't buy new games very often. $60 isn't much for the amount of entertainment the game will provide. Though I do admit that bang-for-buck quality would be a lot better if they didn't piece-meal the game just to make a deadline; removing B-Spec and Course Maker completely and not having any solid date for their inclusions (yet making sure to hype the latter pre-release) is a sketchy business practice I hope doesn't become the norm for PD.

 true indeed - then that definitely makes me insane, except I don't really expect a different result each time I start a new GT game :sly: at least not in terms of core gameplay.

Well, they did a lot of this on purpose. They changed the physics, made it more difficult to make money, etc. and I think lots of guys are taking it the wrong way. It's just very different, people are used to making an easy 400k in GT5 from like 1- minutes, but in GT6 it's much more difficult. Many people who like the game to last a long time appreciate this, but fast-paced (like GT5) as far as earning money goes, don't like it.

It's tough to say, it's a great game, improved physics, more cars, better graphics, etc. so can't really see a reason to complain. I agree though, I like to compete in many different Online Comp's and it's a bit ridiculous how long it takes to earn money.

The game in GT5 can last as long as you like. Just cause people have all the cars is no reason to stop playing. My biggest issue is how hard it is to make Cr. Then they add insult to injury and SELL 7,000,000cr for $50us. In order to get all of the stuff I would want it would cost me $500-1,000. ARE YOU F_<k!nG kidding me PD. Unless something like the online race payout goes up by like x10 this will be my last GT. I have loved, followed, and collected the game since GT1. It was the #1 reason I bought a PS3 and would have bought a PS4 but as this game sits I will not be buying a PS4 either. There are better sims on PC and I have thousands invested in that as I do all of my "Real Gaming" on PC. GT5 was all about the fun of racing and having laughs with friends, mixing up races with everything from 900pp LaMans to a 200PP cappuccino race. From what I have seen so far the amount of time needed in grinding away is not worth the reward. And I sure as $H!t am not going to pay MORE money for in game credits on a game I just spent $60 on. The enjoyment per $ is just not there.

BTW Harrison, how can you or PD claim people take it the wrong way. They charge for in game credits and "Patch" any exploit that allows people to make credits fast if they want to. In addition they dont allow for trading of cars. The $1million limit in GT5 was bad enough but I understood that was to keep people from getting the X2010. There were WAY to many 12yr olds making a $H!T show of a good room with them. I would like to see them prove me wrong and allow trading of all cars maybe with the exception of the 15th Aniv. cars and the X-Cars. In addition any attempt to block the Trade/Re-Load game save would also be seen as nothing but pure greed to make us there customers pay through the nose for a game.

Well, bought the game yesterday.. I dunno, I'm actually in a kind of dilemma between hating it or loving it because on one hand side, the new UI and its functionality is just amazing (my opinion), but on the other hand side it feels kinda shallow. UCD is gone, Car tickets are gone, Proper reward car per completed event is gone, paint chips only acquirable through car purchases or some special events, 20mil credit cap (kinda sad with so many multi mill € machines), broken promise to bring more visual tuning options, etc, etc, ....
I mean, it misses so many of the most basic elements that made GT for being GT it's kinda sad..

PS: A very happy 2014 everyone!!

Well, this is my first Gran Turismo game. I just came off of three years of Forza, and so far, with some patching and tweaking, it should turn out to be a really good overall finished product. I don't regret buying it, and I like the overall number of cars. I'm used to modding street cars, and on Forza, there's not a good JDM variety. On here, I can own Kei cars, pre-modified cars that I've seen on Hot Version, and so on. The upgrade and tuning section is a really cool feature in my opinion. It's really nice to actually know what you're putting into your car, and you can see what you're doing as you're upgrading.
