does anyone regret buying the game?

Half the game is missing, PD has a lot of updates to catch up on, but they may split to work on ps4/gt7 and ditch us, I still would have bought it but feel disappointed, even a little cheated.

sadly in this age of DLC and live updates we are not likely to ever see a game released that is actually (mostly)bug free and finished.
Quality testing must have been notorious back in the days when consoles weren't connected to the net, and what they released had to be 100%

Still i think what PD is doing is not very respectful; launching the game for people that pay full price and giving them a product that is half finished, and has many features missing and where many bugs still need patchin'. All of that should be ready on day 1.

yeh well i agree 100%, ive been through the various BF/MoH/CoD versions of shovelware that rely solely on after sales updates just so they can boast that they got to market first, seems it dont matter if the product works or not, just as long as you release it when you said you would rather than admitting to the community that it needs another few months work before release. it is completely disrespectful and one of the reasons i will never buy one of those so called AAA titles ever again.

Definetely not regretting purchasing the game. I am loving it despite some of it's flaws. I think this is by far the best GT title.
Sure it has fps drops and a bit too agressive AI, but it just has so much else. Allot of great new cars and events, better championships, licences and coffee breaks are back, better customization, some great new tracks, new physics are awesome. And the fact that the game will be regularly updated with new content. What is not too like?

Well, it seems that it is now an industry standard to release games unfinished and then patch them. At least we had a game that, for most people, was playable, even if many features were missing (I know games that feel more like Betas when they are released and you are lucky if it plays). For me, PD have been developing this game for, what, 3 or 4 years? Releasing a half-finished game on a yearly release (Football Manager for PC being a big culprit) is not acceptable but to spend 3+ years developing and releasing a half game is not acceptable. But, as long as we continue to buy the games, then they have no incentive to do things properly or respectfully. From what I understand GT5 was similar on release (I only bought it a year ago so it was pretty well the finished product)

Having said that, I don't regret buying the game. I am enjoying it, even if it feels a little too easy at times (this coming from someone who is not very good at the game) and am looking forward to future updates. However, I will be waiting until after GT7 is released before deciding to buy it or not. I enjoy GT but PD have become a bit too complacent and not doing the things that are needed but doing superficial stuff that is not needed

If you like gt6 so much than why are you on the internet talking about it instead of playing it? (mind explosion)

I'm sorry, I didn't think I said anywhere in my post that I loved GT6... (mind explosion)

A huge, Huge, HUGE ! ! ! disapointment!

I still had the PS2 when it was announced that GT6(as well as GT5) would be available on the PS3.
That announcement tripped my trigger and I immidiately bought a PS3 and GT5 XL, and pre-orderd GT6.

I had a wonderful time with GT5 XL.

Then I got GT6 and it all went to hell!

I was never able to get my Amazon pre-order bonus(the four cars and the $1M credirs).

Then, in the game I'm looking at dozens of mandatory boring driving tests that I've already completed several times in previous versions, there is no way to get a deccent/fun car, and I'm forced into a crappy/boring 'career mode', forced to spend hours driving crappy/boring cars in order to 'advance' to the next boring level, still with crappy cars!

This is one huge turd.

Not only did I waste my money on GT6. I also wasted money on the PS3, since GT6 was my only reason for buying the PS3!

Can you say: Ripped off! Shafted! ****ed over!

Atleast in GT6 you're not stuck to finish the game 98.2%. Still the best game of the series, tough(I mean GT2, not GT6. GT6 is great, but GT2 still the best)

I've played every GT and I'm loving it so far - reminds me of GT4. There are some issues (texture pop ins, shadows, stupid fireworks upon winning a race) but I'm liking it so far. GT5 was terrible when it was first released. It's what you make of it. The PP limits for some races are ridiculous. In the early races you can use a 550 pp car but you'd be fine with a 425 pp car.

Yes I regret buying it..all I have gotten is Dirty Nascar online for $60. They have removed all the nice things about GT5 from GT6.

They can keep the lone driving time trial ..I don;'t need that or the license challenge.

Laugh if you want, but I do kind of enjoy working for stuff. It just gives it a kind of more personal feel, you know? I mean and maybe i'm alone here, but if you could get everything for free, there would be no sense of accomplishment. Feel?

I totally get that and appreciate that, the problem with me is I have a huge OCD for GT games and have to buy and fully tune every car (besides those unnecessary duplicates). I wont be able to do that with GT6 yet as I feel it would be impossible with the small payouts....still waiting for game and money improvements...I'm a patient man.

I dont regret buying the game no, but Iam pissed that you can right now buy the game at 20 dollars less and also get the anniversary cars bonus (wasent that a pre order bonus?)... wtf is pre ordering doing anyone, I just think the getting the anniversary stuff by not pre ordering it as well as getting 20 bucks off is a insult to those that supported your game and pre ordered it.

Nah... I don't regret buying it. I do at times resent how little effort I see that they put into it and then want to sell us credits. But the business part of me understands industry trends and new products and all that. I wish they had just told us. I would have bought the game anyway. Just as I always have. Honesty breeds loyalty.

Of course not, the game itself needs some work, yes. But I bought it mostly for the online community, which is still going strong

Pre-Order Bonus: Then your complaint is with Amazon, not PD. Amazon is responsible for handing you the SEN code for the bonus. So that's one less complaint off your list with PD.

If you would have played all of the GT games (not sure if you have based on your post), then you know that the licence tests are more or less all rehashes, so this isn't new to GT6. You would have felt the same if you moved from GT4 to GT5, or most pairing of prior games- I know that I feel this way (BUT, I enjoy it).

So, with 1,200 cars, you can't find anything you like? Nearly 1,000 of them cost <2,000,000 CR. You earned this amount in the seasonals, alone, so you could have purchased something you liked. I don't consider winning the X-Bow or Evo VI (TM edition) crappy cars. I understand you might, but 23 prize cars that can be earned at the Novice and National levels (B and A), as well as the seasonal, Red Bull, and the Goodwill challenges, give you some good basic variety- not to mention a couple million credits worth of cars. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...rs-incl-m4-red-bull-hudson-19-12-2013.291615/

I understand you feeling like you wasted money on GT6, it is very similar to GT5 XL, but if you enjoyed GT5 XL, then you didn't necessarily waste your money on a PS3... and it's not PD's fault if all you wanted to buy a PS3 just for 1 game... that's your problem. Maybe try a different game?

To answer the OP: No, I don't. I've already got 40+ hours of fun out of it and I'm not anywhere close to done yet. I love it.

I've had the chance to play about 5-6 hours worth so far, having only started it at the end of last week and I'm enjoying it quite a lot. The career is laid out so much better than if we're comparing it to GT5. It's also relieving to have most, if not all(?) of the cars waiting to be bought in the dealership, instead of the endless hunting to find one you want.

I'm not having any credit grinding problems at all, after completing the MA Hudson seasonal I'm in possession of a few million credits anyway. Besides, I'm having fun taking my time working through the Career aspect. My only major complaints have to be how low on light the headlights on almost every car seem to be during the dark hours. I can barely see a thing on tracks such as Willow Springs and the Matterhorn. I'm yet to reach the Super License and begin the endurance races or what little there is to endure of them but from what I've been reading, they're awfully short.

If I had regretted buying it I would have known by now.

I like to do the same but so far I have only bought cars for the purpose of career progress. Once I get to super licenses i'll start collecting. We'll see.

What about the GT5 you also mentioned buying for the PS3 which you enjoyed, or do you miraculously have a PS2 version of that?

Many here will agree that GT follows the same format for each game, so why were you surprised?
