Do I regret buying GT6?

No. I'm enjoying it thoroughly. It definitely offers the best driving experience in the series, as well as the best line up of cars and tracks. Good Wood has been surprisingly fun. The game is jus' gettin' started and I can see myself playing it for quite some time.

GT6 is quirky and not for everyone, but that's what Gran Turismo is, A passionate artistic expression of automotive culture sometimes lacking what would seem logical to us.

Wouldn't it be brilliant if we could have gt6's amazing graphics and iRacing's simulation power mixed together in one fantastic ps3 or ps4 driving game (for me i'd pay $80) the power that PD has I am sure that that ain't far away. How much would you ALL pay????

GT6 is a huge fail. Bought it Anniversary edition too, Played it hated it tried swap it failed so sold it for £10 not including the code as I used that. One of the most boring car games I have ever played it is too easy to win races as soon as you use a decent car, if you use a inferior car than the AI the AI seem to slow down and it is boring. Boring licence tests. Boring silly coffee break knocking cones down. GT5 was a bit no no a lot poo but gt6 is dreadful. Only made to pamper to the anoraks and sadacts who will spend a year doing it and say it's good no matter how bad it gets as they are in love with gt good or bad games they will protect it. I will be proven right when after a month of the game being out folk will crop up saying I am 90% done and got golds on everything.............after a month!! Get a Life.
Bye GT I won't be buying another if gt7 or others arrive.

They would have to pay me. GT6's amazing graphics? you are kidding yeh? there awful.

The graphics range from bad (untouched standard cars) to stunning. There are some fantastic lighting effects and premium car's. Why sell for a tenner? You would probably get £25 on eBay. I personally love the game.

I know I paid a lot more for it but I honestly sold it for a tenner as I would never get around to ebaying it.
A tenner is ok for a second hand game, a girl bought it for her boyfriend so she seemed happy.
I just didn't take to it at all. I finished GT 1 2 3 4 and most of 5 but traded that as got bored with it. I think have just outgrown GT. Good Luck with it if you enjoy it.

im not regretting it at all. yeh its not perfect but show me a game that is? (JointOperations (PC FPS) is THE best game ever IMO, played it competitively for years, it my favourit'est, but it had many big gaping flaws). its how the game plays and what you make of it that counts.

i think the lighting is great and lighting a scene is THE most important aspect, ask any 3d artist or director. the textures seem better, certainly on a 55" screen, and the reflections appear much more detailed and more numerous(things they reflect off). the shadow mapping is still a bit weak tho.

the physics is awsome, the first race really showed me how far its come, i can feel the cars more intimately now than in GT5 and they seem even a little more individualised. more responsive?

menu system is a breeze and super fast now, although some options here and there are inexplicably missing (what happen to sort by distance in the garage?).

seems like this version has been dumbed-down a tad to suit a wider "console generation" who cant get by without social linking, personalisation of game assets and auto-aim(bot), maybe this is why i feel like i am going through the game too fast?

I don't regret buying the game but I do regret getting excited over it because in it's current form it is a disappointment. I welcome the race restrictions. I just wish there was actual racing. The races are too short and there's no qualifying. I believe even GT2 didn't have that problem. The stupid mission races are completely pointless. Instead of being 30 second overtake challenges they could be actual races, and lets not forget the poor payouts.

Get online, that's where the real challenge is, I got 2 poles a 3rd and 1st place yesterday in my Diablo.. really enjoyed it.

To me it seems to be a better deal wait for the release of PCars on PS4 and Assetto Corsa on PC. Since I already have a decent PC and don't have a PS3, investing a little more on the PS4 at this point is better than buying an outdated console just for GT6.

I just hope it wasn't my girl, who bought it!

At first, maybe. I was definitely a little disappointed.

Then, something unexpected came along and made it much more enjoyable. Can you guess what it was?

to all complaining about the easiness of beating AI, there is a slider in the options that allows you to make them more agressive. might give you the challenge you desire.

If you're hating your copy of GT6 enough to make a thread about it, why don't you take it back to where you bought it and return it?

2 reasons. first, you cant return opened games to gamestop. they would probably give me $15 for it. second, i realize it's still very early in the game's life and fully expect the game to get better as time progresses.

I don't regret buying it, but I do regret paying the £40 release price for it. At the games current state I don't think it was worth that much.

sadly in this age of DLC and live updates we are not likely to ever see a game released that is actually (mostly)bug free and finished.
