Does Anyone Watch Wrestling? (WWE, AEW, TNA, NWA, etc)

A little disappointed nothing came of it. No Finn Balor revenge plot after turning Heel after what John Cena did to him last year (would've gave Judgment Day some needed edge while Rhea Ripley is out with an injury), not even a rumoured Theory U.S Title match setup. Just a confrontation and that's it.

I guess I shouldn't expect WWE to follow rules of storytelling like keeping tabs on the continuity

Yeah it was disappointing that nothing happened on his return, still it was great to have him on the show though.

Riddle won a last chance battle royale to qualify for the men's MITB match, there was no Owen's v Elias/Ezekiel qualifier for some reason so there is still one spot left in the men's match, Becky Lynch won a elimination match match to qualify for the women's match with one spot left there too.

Logan Paul has officially signed with WWE. multi year, multi appearance contract.

I know he is divisive but I was impressed with him at Wrestlemania. Makes sense for him to return at Summerslam to do something with the Miz.

To be fair on him, I heard Logan Paul has come a long way as a person since those incidents a few years back.

I liked his performance at WM, I'd love to see what he can do now.

Also heard that Bad Bunny wants to come back too.

Io Shirai looks like she is done with WWE, her contract is up next month and whilst they have offered her a new deal she will refuse to sign it, she wants to go back to Japan.

So its Wrestling night tonight, its WWE Money In The Bank live from MGM Grand in Vegas, here is the card.

United States Championship
Theory (c) v Bobby Lashley

Raw Women's Championship
Bianca Belair (c) v Carmella

Smackdown Women's Championship
Ronda Rousey (c) v Natalya

Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans, Shotzi, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Alexa Bliss & Liv Morgan

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
The Usos (c) v The Street Profits

Men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Sami Zayn, Omos, Seth Rollins, Riddle & Madcap Moss

Pretty good card but a couple of the matches feel like filler though, the two women's title matches especially.

Madcap Moss won a fatal four way which included Miz, Ezekiel and Corbin last night to get the last place on the men's ladder match.

My predictions for the ladder matches? I think its hard to look past Rollins for the men's as the plan could be that he cashes in on either Reigns or Lesnar at Summerslam or even during the match like he did at WM a few years ago, seems as though Drew will get his title shot at the UK show in a couple of months and the rest of the guys in that match make up the numbers really, would love to see Liv win the women's match.

I'm very happy Liv Morgan won Money in the Bank.

However given how botched Money in the Bank winners have been recently, I'm not gonna be fully positive about it until we see her cashing it in and see her title run. Don't want it to be another Nikki Cross and Big E

Well, let's see how short this reign is...
They really just don't care about the Women's Money in the Bank and just throw them as an afterthought and obligation...

Also Theory getting in and winning the Men's Money in the Bank, ok.... not exactly terrible but it's like that Brock Lesnar stunt only less bad.

The event had a lot of potential at the start but clearly WWE did that by accident as the rest of the event showed how terrible their writing still is

I'm delighted for Liv she fully deserves it and the majority of fans have been behind her for years. Interesting to see how her reign pans out but there is always an element of doubt with new champions.

when I heard Theory was announced as the eighth competitor I just he was going to win and my heart sank a little, however I do think its a good choice as MITB should be about making stars, Both ladder matches were good but the women's one was a bit messy with a few botches, Shotzi was busted open after hitting the back of her head on a ladder when she hit the sunton.

But both matches were completely upstaged by that tag team match, holy cow what a match that was!! Not just match of the night but a match of the year contender! Uso and Street Profits have such good chemistry and it seems were are seeing the match again at Summerslam with that finish. Theory v Lashley was also very good with Lashley surprisingly won but it made sense later in the night.

Both women's title matches were a but meh, Bianca won easily and quickly and Ronda won with a nice submission move, we saw a little video package of someone and people initially thought it could be Bray Wyatt but now it really could be Edge, Corbin attacked McAfee after show went on the air and that match has been made for Summerslam. Vince, Stephanie, Triple H and McAfee were at the UFC show in Vegas after MITB with McAfee in a neck brace selling the Corbin attack.

Also dolls can use WWE credit cars...

Not necessarily doubt with new Champions more doubts with MitB Champions in recent years.

We haven't had a good Champion off a MitB win since, Seth Rollins and even then his reign had low points. WWE seems to not care too much about tiit anymore and this is more evident with the Women. Carmella is the only one who held the contract for more than a week because the contract is used more for a cheap feel good moment ASAP for ratings then anything beneficial going forward and they have all suffered from it, just ask Nikki A.S.H

I want to be wrong with Liv Morgan, I want her reign to be fantastic because I'm glad she is champion for once but that requires being faithful to WWEs storytelling which every example of that, has been a no.

Re-match for the US title has been made for Summerslam between Lashley and Theory, so it wont be Theory v Cena sadly.

Main event last night was a great no hold barred match between Lynch and Asuka which Lynch won so it looks like she will face Belair for the title at SS. Otis vomited on the show after the Alpha Academy's six man tag match after he took part in a hot dog eating contest segment backstage, plus they showed slo-mo replays of him spewing! Jimmy Smith wasn't there so interviewer Kevin Patrick was the lead announcer.

Not much else happened.

According to backstage rumours. Ronda Rousey never wanted to be Champion (which explains why she lost to Charlotte at Wrestlemania but won at Backlash when Charlotte was going away) and had demands for if she lost to the belt, she were to lose to the hardest working wrestler on the roster.

Huge props to her if true, for opening the door to Liv Morgan.

Thing is though, I hope this doesn't get sweeped under the rug like they tried to do before.

Something needs to be done, this is appalling. The fact this has been going on for past 16 years, lost all respect for Vince McMahon

Is it bad of me that I'm not even shocked a bit? If I'm honest, I expect it to get far worse, then worse still after he's been forced out. He basically controlled an industry for decades, and we've all seen the God complex for years.

I'm not shocked at the allegations so much as it took this long for them to fully come to light.

Undisputed WWE tag team title rematch from MITB between Usos and Street Profits and Smackdown women's title match between Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey have both been added to Summerslam after last night's show.

My favorite wrestlers are John Cena, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, Hulk Hogan and Rick Flair. No doubt about that.

Brock Lesnar returns to Raw night, he first appearance on the show since Wrestlemania.
