it will be a contract on a pole

Pole match?

So Raw was pretty good, main event was the contract on a pole match they were due to have at HIAC which was meh but a few good matches in the show like Orton v Ziggler, but the news that broke after the show was that Announcer Justin Roberts was released after not having his contract renewed, big surprise that as I thought he was a really good announcer and that news came out of nowhere...

Ox Baker has passed away at age 80, according to news reports. Baker, best known in wrestling for having feuded with Hulk Hogan, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, retired from wrestling in the early 80's to start an acting career. In acting, he is best known for having battled Kurt Russell in "Escape from New York", and even garnered some attention in Jackie Chan's "The Big Brawl". Baker even did a bit of everything, once appearing as a contestant on The Price Is Right.

EDIT: Wow. Did WWE.com just spoil the Cena vs. Ambrose contract match from the PPV? I was going through the history of the Hell in the Cell, and here is what WWE.com stated about the number of participants in the cell...

WWE.com
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will be the 32nd and 33rd unique competitors to enter the cage, respectively, when they compete at Hell in a Cell on Oct. 26 in Dallas. The 31 Superstars who have come before them are an impressive mix of Hall of Famers, legends and current top talent.

You decide!

So they announced a major stipulation added to the Cena/Orton match at HIAC on Sunday at Raw last night, winner will get a future opportunity for the WWE WHC title, so its now effectively a No1 contenders match...

Also, Lilian Garcia has predictably taken over from Justin Roberts as the ring announcer on Raw, Eden has been promoted to Smackdown announcer, she has previously done some announcing and backstage interview on NXT and is married to Cody Rhodes..

I hope Orton gets the opportunity. I mean cmon, look at all the title shots Cena has got. And Orton vs Lesnar sounds like a really good match on paper. This is just my opinion of course.

Pretty good looking PPV there I think...

Looks like Elimination Chamber PPV has been dropped from next year, WWE are replacing it with an event called Fast Lane or Fast Track...

They're the worst PPV names I've ever heard.

Just scrap the elimination chamber all together if they're gonna call the PPV that. It never made sense with 1 championship as surely the royal rumble winner should know who he's facing at wm before that PPV. You could have the winner put his shot on the line at the penultimate PPV but the title holder having to defend doesn't work out.

I think the elimination chamber should be moved to around july-August time. Doesn't need to have its own PPV just have it dropped unexpectedly on raw that the next PPV will have the chamber.

Kurt Angle's TNA contract expired on 21st September and he has said that he is in talks with WWE over a part time deal working eight days a month, WWE have not confirmed this however...

That would be awesome.

You just know that if it comes off, they'll shoehorn him into a Rusev angle.

I was hoping to have a clean finish to the Ambrose and Rollins match but I'm not surprised WWE went with the interference.
They can't really make Ambrose lose clean and if Randy is going Baby face to fued with Rollins then he couldn't really lose clean either.

That would be awesome.

You just know that if it comes off, they'll shoehorn him into a Rusev angle.

Which is going to lead to the best entrance for a number of years.

Swagger is injured.
Rusev is dominant.
Dutch proclaims he has found a real American.
Cue Kurt Angle theme.

The pop. The pop.

Two fairly big bits of news..

You may or may not have heard that Daniel Bryan has suffered another setback on his journey back to the ring and unfortunately need another surgery this time on his arm, from what I understand the surgery required is major and no timetable of when he has it and when he will return (or if he will return!), News was broken by the Big Show at the Smackdown taping on Tuesday, Loud YES! chants followed, i'm gutted for Bryan I really am because I'm big fan of his...

WWE announced financial results for Q3 and its not good reading...Live event business down 13%, TV Revenue and Digital Media all down, PPV buys have declined nearly 60%!, Media division is up 6% and WWE film Studios also saw a small increase in revenue, overall net loss of $5.9 million, subscriber total for the Network currently stands at 731,000 which isn't good, could be another lot of talent being let go because of this..

Although they did remove the 6 month commitment which they think is a good thing to attract more users. I however think this means people will subscribe for a month for RR. Then unsubscribe again, resubscribe for WM. Same for all the main PPV'S. I mean everyone in USA can get WM RR SummerSlam and Survivor Series for just $39.96. Can't blame anyone for passing up that opportunity.

Still though. I think they'd see a major increase in subscribers if they just stopped screwing around the UK and gave us the network and stopped the "channel" in places like Canada and gave them the full thing too.

I think Network is available from November 1st in the UK, which is this Saturday, not entirely sure though because they haven't mentioned that on air in the last few weeks..

Was suppose to be available on October 1st too until they postponed it due to "talks with partners" which makes me feel like they're going to give us the same rubbish as Canada.

Sky suddenly realised that they'll lose money with the Network in the UK. Couple that with not giving away Survivor Series for free.

lol delay

It sounds so much like we're getting a TV channel. UK and Canada can make or break the network I don't get why they're :censored:ing us around so much.

I don't think it is as much as messing around with the UK and Canada as much as getting things right here in the states. To be completely reasonable here, I think that because of the trend of internet TV is a reason that WWE is really considering restructuring the network into a Internet TV network.
