I will laugh if we get nothing at all. All focus in on FH5 for now. What happened to taking user feedback into account, they announced it years ago and still nothing lol? They sent some crappy surveys about useless stuff, but nothing of substance since then.
If you ignore all the playtests they conducted with players as well as within Xbox's own studios as well as all they info they kept dropping at the Forza monthly livestreams all they way upto December 2021, then yeah they haven't done anything.
I think FM showing up with a proper trailer (unlike the 2020 one) and proper gameplay showcase is a given, especially since the Xbox showcase itself is going to be gameplay focused this time (and the fact that there are 2 of them on 12th and 14th).

I hope it's impressive since they had 5 years to develop it, it better be a showcase for these new consoles. Because so far the Xbox Series doesn't have a single proper nextgen showcase, and we're almost 2 years in. Unheard of.

IT better be the best goddamn game T10 has produced. It has had over double the average development time of a Motorsport before this and hardware that has no obvious bottlenecks, with SSD tech. It better be the slickest, most beautiful, best sounding and most of all, best gameplay wise.
I still haven't seen a game that makes me feel next gen yet, even if the consoles have been out for nearly 2 years now. This better be the first one. All the stuff they have promised is good and all but nothing concrete has been shown obviously. I hope we get a full forza monthly soon after with more info as well. They should take notes from PGG on how to hype a game up pre launch with bi weekly livestreams.

Last December they confirmed news for this summer.

And all forza games in the last years got part of e3 showcase, or the showcase now.

Known insider Tom Henderson is claiming FM8 will release in Spring 2023. Will be shown at the Xbox/Bethesda showcase.

Jeez, what's with racing games I like and going to 2023?

Seriously, first, DiRT Rally 3 gets canned and the first WRC game, from Codemasters, can only come out 2023, at the earliest. Second, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown gets delayed to 2023, and now Forza Motorsport also ends up in 2023? I was expecting at least Forza this year, but apparently not. Hope this leaker isn't as accurate with Microsoft as he is with EA stuff.

Sorry but, as much as I believe FH5 can try to do a good job being a live service to last some of us till then, I really hope FM Rebooted being pushed to 2023 isn't the case. I want to get back to track damn it! I'm not believing it until T10 themselves comes out and says when their game is coming out. Until then, I'm taking that with a grain of salt.

I've seen a few people, and media outlets, citing a lack of info, on Forza Motorsport, as a reason for it to not be coming this year. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't we pretty much in the dark, regarding FH5, until we got a reveal at the Xbox showcase, and a release later that same year?

Yes, that's exactly how it went. FH5 was barely mentioned at all, other than rare comments about it probably existing in the future. Then at E3, it was announced, and we got tons of info leading up to release.

Forza tends to go for a big reveal before talking about the details.

He said **** to the postponed Gran Turismo media Event, which was wrong. So don’t trust every word.
You remember, because of him, there were the possible delay threats…

The good is, already on tomorrow, we‘ll see what happening.

Ok, how about some predictions?
Cover car: A LeMans Hypercar, my bet is on the Cadillac Project GTP prototype (runner-up, the BMW M Hybrid).
Launch window: March 2023.
Number of cars: 300+ launch, 100 in DLC content.

Wild prediction: a new console SKU slotted between the Series S and the Series X.

At this point I'm just hoping they will actually show Forza Motorsport tomorrow. For me, it will likely be the game I'll be buying the Xbox Series for.

In terms of predictions, I wouldn't be surprised if this will mark the shift to a 'game as a service', hence the name 'Forza Motorsport' without the 8. This would allow them to indeed start with a smaller roster of cars. 300+ would be in the right ballpark I'd say. I just hope that the car list will be focused as in having a full grid of cars from a certain series without mixing them up. For example, I would prefer having the entire IMSA GTD grid over having some FIA WEC GTE cars combined with GT3 cars from different series etc.

Cover car: probably 2 cars of which one is a race car. The Porsche 992 GT3 RS is about to launch soon so that could be an option for the street car. Race car wise, the 2023 Porsche Hypercar for IMSA and WEC could do, it's already undergoing extensive testing. The 2023 Ferrari Hypercar has just been teased and will commence testing soon.

I hope they add a Per Car or Authentic/Factory option for assists this time.

The global assists is one thing that holds Forza back. Most people disable Traction Control and everything, which is good for the most part but then its the reason why your GT3 race cars aren't feeling correct, or why "all the cars feel the same." If this option was set per car, (like in real life), then the cars would have more unique personality.

"The latest intel says that the next-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS could debut at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, which is set to happen on June 23. This is unconfirmed, however, so let's not hold our breath for that one just yet."
What if we see it today as the cover?

That would be so cool, especially if it gets debuted alongside FM Rebooted. :D

so, is there a FM predictions thread?
i would like to see some from this community.
Assuming it is going to be shown on 12th, of course.

I think they have a deal with Apollo, and that's why the IE was featured heavily in the reveal. While there are several contenders for a cover car (296 GT3, Huayra R, C8 Z06, 992 GT3rs etc.), i think this is it :

Moment of truth soon
It seems the Ferrari Daytona SP3 hasn't been in any game either 🤔

Painfully split between "this is the most amazing-looking racing game ever," "please just tell me you overhauled career mode," and "oh no, I 'only' have an i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz with a 12GB GeForce RTX 3060"

Well I have to admit I was wrong. I was skeptical that something major was going to be announced but they did. It looks good. I'm excited to see the IMSA cars. I'm hoping that means the new GTP cars will be coming at some point.

I'm glad Spa was shown. Now the ones I want to see next are Daytona, Le Mans, and the Nordschleife.

Following this, the Forza website has just been renamed to simply "Forza(dot)net".
