Car Era\Type : Race Cars Only, At least one wheel on curbs (must be visible on photo) other wheels must be on track, No spinouts

This is a drift photo competition. Your car must be drifting.

How are the requirments not drifting? Its just asking you to drift with a race car, and get one wheel on the curb. Makes the competition tougher, thats all. I say good job on the requirements. 👍

I hope the requeriments I made for DPC Week 13 are not that hard/bad.

I guess what i was trying to get across, was the fact that this photo competition is a bit counter-productive in terms of real drifting. These past few weeks, it has seemed like the focus has been not on drifting, but instead the objective has seemed to be nothing more than taking a random car that would never be a good drifter and just somehow pitching it sideways and taking a picture. Really, you can just turn ASM-understeer way up and make any car go sideways and then countersteer. I understand this is a photo competition and the best looking photo should always win, but maybe it's time we start taking photos of real drifts instead of this manufactured bull****.

I was trying to do that at one stage but I couldn't get a good angle on the car without spinning out. I don't like submitting drift pics unless I pull the drift off successfully.

Ahhhh requirements are running low, and now we're getting creative, personally i think this competition is only gonna get better, tougher, in general more exciting.

I guess i would rather run in the WRS than drift cars that don't drift very well. IMO it's not fun to just use ASM-understeer to throw a car sideways and then take a picture. I don't think that takes much skill. I know you've got to be creative with the angle of the car, the effects, and the car choice, but if things keep going the same way we may as well change the name of the competition to "Random A** Cars Sideways With Tire Smoke, Backfire, Countersteer, and Camera Effects *Note:Need Not Actually Drift" At least this way people wouldn't be mislead by the name.

Another thing that turns me away is just the simple fact that with everybody's different opinions, I often wonder what the **** is going on. Most of the times the pics i think are great do really crappy, and the ones that are doing well I think are... for a lack of a better word, n00bish. Nobody seems to vote based on the amount of artistic unity, balance, and quality of the drifting in the photos, but instead the cars that have the most fanboys or the pictures with the weirdest effects do well.

Once again, sorry if I offended anybody. Sorry if I'm being arrogant or anything like that, I just wanted to state my opinions on what has bothered me about this competition.

I can understand what your saying but just out of curiosty do you have any idea how things could be changed? may be they could be incoporated in future DPC's. I've only entered the Week 12 so I'm quite new to the competitions, they seem to be running well to me, I guess it is difficult to know which cars are drifting and which have been just thrown sideways into a corner with the wheels turned from just a still picture

My requirements for Week 12 were simply to take a Japanese road car which wasn't FR and drift it.

If you can only drift FR cars, you're about as far away from "real drifting" as you can get. What's the harm in practising drifting with other drivetrains? You may learn something about holding drifts with MR, RR or even 4WD cars. People drift these in real life you know.

Really, you can just turn ASM-understeer way up and make any car go sideways and then countersteer.

Which, obviously, NO-ONE could do if it were any car on any track. Right?

But this aint drifting, no smoke with a GT40?! You MUST have put this on the track instead of drifting it
