Hey man I'd love to try you're tunes but I think the units are different on my game than you'res as the settings in my tuning menu won't let me adjust to any of yorue values or settings. Everything from ride height to suspension values and aero. Any ideas? I love to see all the hard work you put in im exited to figure out a way to give them a go
Don't even remember writing that, 10 years already...
Ok, so I assume we are infact talking about GT5 in 2022?
As far as I can remember, GT5 uses different units depending on the PS3 system language. So for anyone with the language set to English (USA) the game will use the imperial system with ride height in inches? and spring rate in foot-pounds?
There's also an option in the game settings for units, although it should only affect speed measurement (kph vs mph).
Most of the tunes on this forum use the metric system, making it more difficult for you. If I find some time later I could check a few language / unit settings and check what exactly works / needs to be converted.
Aero should be the same for everyone though. Some of the values might only be possible with aftermarket parts, sadly all photos of my cars seem to have been lost after all these years.
EDIT:
Tried to force other units, but this does not seem to be possible with my copy of the game.
I'd still recommend trying a different system language such as English (UK), but if that doesn't work you'd have to convert the values.
Following all entries using units:
Ride Height | mm (millimeter) |
Spring Rate | kgf/mm (kilogram force per milimeter) |
Weight | kg (kilogram) |
Everything else should be unit-less and be the same. Generally the tunes are for fully upgraded cars, sometimes including aero parts such as aftermarket rear wings.
Note: Transmission settings for older tunes from before update 1.11 will no longer work if you use version 1.11 or higher. In such a case, try to follow the described flip procedure with the final gears and get the individual gears at least somewhat close.
