This competition will run for 7 days. The deadline is June 20.

I think this theme is pretty much the main part of a drift photo IMO! Mine always feature countersteer & oversteer. :)

What is the difference in countersteer & oversteer with other techniques?Does the car actually have to go wide and countersteer through the entire corner?I'll try and do my best in this competition :)

Oversteer is when the rear of the car slides as if it's trying to pass the front in acceleration.

Countersteer is when you turn the front wheels in the direction the rear wheels are taking, while the car countersteers.

Just look at the last 2 images/banners on the top of this thread, they're great examples.

Basically, what's intended in this week's theme, is to take a shot that shows that movement, nothing fancy. Like the Altezza shot that won last week, posted also above.

For all you people who don't know what to do, look at the wheels. They are turning the opposite way to the drift to control it. (which i did pretty well)

so does this mean we're allowed to enter a photo from phototravel ? i'm assuming we are, since it says 'any' track can be used. just wanna make sure.

How will you pull out a drift shot on PMC from a phototravel location?

Hahahahaha. Throwing the PS2 downstairs, I guess car could drift inside circuits or something before averything get smashed, who knows.

Well, I'm going to sleep a bit rather keep saying stupid things :)

Haha,ok i understand now.It was that exact same thing i do all the time!but i like to call it "power over" (or any other move that make the car go sideways) Didn't think much about the theme name (it just got me confused).

all i ever did was add noise and a combination of zoom and radial blur, then dodged it and cranked up the saturation of the flames. things which are perfectly legal and within the regulations i believe 👍 the thing that made the difference i think are the motion blurs and the different layers i used. other than that, it's all original.

you can only use b/c, gamma and hue/saturation in the drift comps.

Yeah, sorry J. We are back to the regular rules. So you will have to change your entry. :)

Also, SimmiS your shot does not have countersteer. The wheels should be facing the opposite way. 👍

ah well, ill change it i have a back-up plan, you see im pretty new to drifting heh
