you add a VCD it defeats the whole purpose
of the GTR's AWD system .....in which case it ends up driving like any other 4wd car in the game...
best way to get a full FR feel for the GTR is no VCD..
and you dont need LSD also...
but when you get better you can add an LSD of anykind
1.5 or 2 way recommended .. unless you really know how to modify the fully cust. one..or just leave it default...
(LSD stabilizes the cars movements more but you dont need it)
for a GTR..

give it a try upgrade all excpet VCD and LSD see how it feels ..
i guarantee its gonna feel just like a FR with the extra stability of 4wd when needed..if 1000 is too much just lower HP dats all

give me feed back

and btw you can use any tires for this set up not just sim tires..
softer the tire the faster it goes!!!!

1000hp too much, indeed.

I've been drifting around in my stock R34 but I wouldn't mind tuning it a little, so I came here to see what people have done to theirs. It was disappointing to see everyone using these 1000 horsepower cars with every upgrade they can buy, thinking it makes it drift better.

That's just rediculous.
The GTR Vspec has enough if not too much power as it is.
I would like to see someone knowledgable tune a setup based around the R34's stock power.

whilst i vaguelly agree with what you say, since they removed autumn ring from GT, the only tracks we have, are tracks with UNBELIEVABLY long straights. its like corner, cup of tea, buscuit, oh here comes another corner.

i'd love to be able to drift the cars with smaller hps, but i get frustrated sitting there waiting for the next corner to come up. so i race a very finely tuned and well balanced 1000bhp skyline. check it out cause its really quite good. that way its corner after corner and all u have to worry about is the drifting, making it look good etc ;)

and im looking for great superautobacs MR-S settings. i made some myself but i was wondering if anybody else has anything better. if anybody needs it ill be sure to give it to them just ask me, thanks merry christmas/kwanza/hanukka/and everything else

just put it on here and we got another version of the depot just look in one of the main person on here

ok then i dont know if anybody needs them, or just tell me what you think fellow drifters

Possibly the best drifting car in the world. ;)

are you sure about these silvia settings? i tried them...the car doesnt want to get sideways except in situations where there is extreme traction loss in the rear from spinning the tires...and it is really hard to keep from spinning out when you want to hold a high angle drift

why the super low spring rates? and why the super low LSD?

LSD helps when controling a car in a drift

Agreed. Also, the ride height is way too low, for such low spring rates. This causes the car to bottom out, and make the it very unstable. You don't need to mess with the settings this much. It's just overkill, especially when you don't really understand what your doing. ;)

yeah that toe setting is off the wall too...thats like backwards....

I used to have a site with some great drift setups for doing high angle really controllable drifts, it was a text only site but the setups were incredible....

anyone else notice that the 1800cc silvia has a higher power potential than the 2000cc....is that so or was i just seeing things when i played...how does that make sense?

on that subject...how come the USDM Integra type R has way less power potential than the JDM, weird....

Yes, the 1800cc does have more HP potential. However, I think you have the Integras backwards. ;)

I'm VERY sure about this setting. It's one of muy best cars.

I don't know how many times I've said this: Settings are only a refference, you don't need to follow them all, you can adjust whatever as you want.
And some people have told me that my settings are great, especially this.

Highly skilled drivers can drift any car without seeing what settings the car has. But "good" settings makes the drifts smoother and longer.

Exactly. Good advice Sheron. ;)

also i have used these settings before and trust me these help alot with smoother drifts and longer ones

How about move this sentence to the FAQ thread?

Does anyone know of some settings that really keep the front stable? Kinda like the Sil-Eighty drifts in Initial D? I think that would prove kind of fun to drift.
