lol, I was just about to post asking to confirm this too. If I understand it right. It seems like all I would need to do, is plug my CSW 2.0 into the controller slot, and then plug the hub to the PS4, with no controller needed.

I think for the handbrake to work, it would need Polyphony Digital to support it. Which I hope Fanatec can get their issues sorted out.

for the CSW 2.0 the Direct Drive isn't going to offer you all that much, except maybe the ability to use accessories that don't connect to the base directly, for example I use a TM TH8A shifter with my CSW 2.0..

But if for example you had a CSL E (first one not for PS4) or a CSW 2.5 then you would be getting a lot as in DD it converts these on the fly to a CSW 2.0 and then allows them to work with say Pcars with all the benefits that comes with like RPM leds/pedal rumbles etc etc....

I have my CSW boxed up getting ready to send it in to get fixed, so I can't try it out, and I'm using my CSR for the time being.

I’ve been there. After 2 weeks with my CSW V2 it crashed. Has to send it in for repairs. I was thinking the same thing about plugging it in to the controller port. Just wanted to confirm. I’ll try it when it arrives so we’ll see.

So you recommended just using “F” and “L” modes with the CSW V2 for Driveclub and GT Sport?

Anyone with a CSL Elite and v3 pedals have this hub and the adapter?

Thoughts on how it works? Like it should??

Fact that I was hearing that after the update on GT Sport that no compatibility is available yet has me losing patients by the day.

I didn't realise that Collective Minds had US stock, I thought it was just Cronus
I did not realize this either I guess I was confused as to who the lead company was. Either way I was disappointed. I got busy and procrastinated then saw on the Cronusmax website they were out. Cronus had some the last time I had checked but I put it off. Anyways thanks for the information Podger and thank you collective minds.
I read the op when it was made and followed the tread for a while. I never went back to the op because I didn't think I needed to. I thought I knew the information.

Dirve Hub + CSL E (PS4 version ) + V3 pedals + TH8A Shifter

Put the CSL E in PC mode ( red led ) , Or CSW 2 mode ( purple LED )
DS4 in USB port 1, CSL E in 2nd USB port, TH8A in 3rd USB Port

I tested it and it Works on all the driving games I have that support the G29 Wheel.
GT Sport Beta
Pcars 1
Pcars 2
Assetto Corsa
F1 2017

I currently turn on my ps4 by pressing the PS button on the controller, how would it work with the drivehub in the picture? would I be able to leave the drivehub connected to the PS4 always (with the wheel+controller attached to it) and press the PS button to turn on, or would I have to turn on the console from the front panel and connect the drivehub every time?

The video on the site and the manual explain how to connect, but it's unclear if it means connect the first time and then leave connected or if it's something one has to do every time.

You could turn the console on with the power button on the console, or you could turn it on with the controller then turn the controller off before connecting it to Drive Hub.

I have a 2nd unused hand controller which is attached to the Drive Hub. Never have to touch it. The PS4 can be turned on either by pushing the PS4 ON/OFF or using a 2nd controller.

The Drive Hub will be recognized once your click the Club Sport 2.0 wheel button on the wheel.

I'm using it as a safe guard depending on the software/firmware codes between the game and Fanatec.

ohh, thanks for the idea, I have a 2nd controller with a broken accelerator, so I should be able to leave that connected to the drivehub forever, can't wait for the drivehub to arrive to try it out as I have a G27 so I'll have to see what button(s) I'll have to press on it to get it to be recognized (the g27 does not have a PS button)

The problem in this scenario was that the DS4 would connect to the console via bluetooth. This is the primary method for the mark 1 DS4, however it would also output on usb and lead the DriveHub to believe all is good. The PS4 allow for unlicensed controllers to work for 5 or 6 minutes, and then nothing....
With the latest f/w, DriveHub can sever the BT link, and then boot correctly.

So you are fine to start the console with the controller or console according to your preference...

thanks for the reply! I thought that when the DS4 was connected via USB it would just use USB and not BT, interesting... I also currently have the updated DS4 that was released later on with the slightly reworked physical buttons, do you mean that would be mark 2 or something?

I just ordered a DriveHub so I can use my G920 on PS4. I suppose I'll be needing a USB adapter for my shifter to work?

Will be nice to try it out in Gran Turismo 6 as well if it works. Have never played a GT game on wheel yet.

The drivehub works on PS3 too now with the firmware update, so it will be worth a try too :)

if its the logitech shifer, that one works connected to the wheel

mark 2 was released at the time of the PS4 slim and has the option to work in USB only mode via a setting in the dash. this isn't really relevant to when emulating a wheel, as the PS4 wont see the USB connection as that of the same DS4, so it doesn't do the switch to USB either, well not without a little nudge ;)

Ps button is covered too, a combo of l3 and r3 produces PS... they are the 2 outer red buttons on the bottom row on the shifter

a picture is worth a 1000 words. Button mapping of the G27 Shifter, when Connected to the G27 Wheel and the Drive Hub.

thanks for the info, now just for the waiting for drivehub to be shipped and to arrive!

Just had a thought: @Podger Any way you guys could bring the T-DFB signal from the Thrustmaster GT to other wheels like Fanatec? Seems to me to be a simple vibration in the wheel itself, which Fanatec supports on some wheels. I don't know how complex that signal is, but who knows, if someone can figure it out, it's probably you guys!

Question for Fanatec CSL Elite users,

Especially for @WyldAnimal

So I was told when getting the drive hub and connecting it to the wheel and the ps4 the CSL Elite acts like a g29? Like it performes like a g29?

I thought it would just like recognize as a g29 to work on sport but still performes like a Fanatec.

Lol a bit confused

I thought the release of the Game this morning might break my usage of the Drive Hub with my TX on the PS4 Pro...it did not! I put in a test drive and some Driving School before heading to work this morning...I thought the DS was supposed to transfer over, but no worries. credits and cars seemed to make the transfer from the demo.

Just got my Drive Hub last night and tested it with Driving Force GT and GT Sport this morning...worked like a charm until the controller lost connection. It seems to lose connection after a few minutes of working flawlessly. I need to resolve this before I get into races of any significant length.

I tried updating the firmware, but my Windows 10 PCs at home and at work both fail to see the device.

I connected my CSR to it and yes it recognizes as a G29, but it operates just like the CSR always has for me. I could not see the CSL being different

Don't need it anymore since fanatec released an firmware update.

Do you maybe have automatic turn off for controllers enabled?

Updating the firmware on the Drive Hub? Be sure to hold the P2 button down when connecting it to your PC in order to put it into the right mode for updating. I had the same issue at first, but reading that part of the instructions solved it.
