Be sure to hold the P2 button down when connecting it to your PC

Somehow I completely missed that in the instructions. Thanks...that did the trick.

Do you maybe have automatic turn off for controllers enabled?

That was one of the first things I checked...and was pretty surprised I didn't have that feature on.

Crossing fingers that it is just a firmware thing. I also noticed mention that I should make sure to unpair my DS4 from my PS4 before attempting to connect it to the Drive Hub. Looking forward to trying again tonight.

Question for Fanatec CSL Elite users,

Especially for @WyldAnimal

So I was told when getting the drive hub and connecting it to the wheel and the ps4 the CSL Elite acts like a g29? Like it performes like a g29?

I thought it would just like recognize as a g29 to work on sport but still performes like a Fanatec.

Lol a bit confused

The new firmware allows you to use either fanlogic, or Fanatec modes.
In the Drive Hub Manual it describes how to Select which FFB profile to use.

The Game Sees your Wheel as a G29.
and the Game sends FFB commands to your wheel as if it was a G29.
The Drive hub, then passes these along to your Wheel, based on the Profile you are using.
Fanalogic or Fanatec

I got a question that I would appreciate some answers to if anyone could help. My Drive Hub is hooked up to my PS4 and G27 and everything works fine with GTS. However, I’m trying to get a couple of buttons to work on the wheel. If you have a G27 or know the setup, you’ll know there’s three buttons on both sides of the center part of the wheel. I have the second button on the left side working as the “rear view” button but I can’t get the top buttons on the left and right to work (I’d like for them to be the right and left view). I’m emulating a G29 so I can get the buttons as close as possible but even though there are R2 and L2 buttons on the G29 and from what I’ve read the R2 and L2 buttons on the G27 are those two top buttons, I can’t get it setup. Does anyone know a work around for this? I could map them onto the shifter but I like to have the look around buttons on the wheel so I don’t have to take my hands away when driving.

I've the same setup and I’m using that buttons in the same way you describe. Top buttons work as L2/R2, middle buttons as L3/R3 and the last ones doesn’t work.

At least that’s the way it worked in Beta, I didn’t check it in final game.

After unpairing the Dualshock 4 from my PS4 and plugging it into the Drive Hub, I played with my Driving Force GT without any connection drops (I played for at least an hour). I guess the real trick is knowing that you do not have to turn on the DS4. Drive Hub works like a charm with Driving Force GT and GT Sport. Will have to try it with my G25 as well...

I’ll have to try it again then since I had it set up that way but it wasn’t working. It’s just weird since I know for sure the top two buttons should work :(

On g27 top buttons are l2 r2

L3 and r3 are on the shifter, the 2 in he pic above that make PS

The other buttons on the rim are called l4 r4 and l5 r5.
These are mapped to the l4 and l5 are mapped to the ^ and v on the g29
And r4 and r5 should map to the red dial thingy..

Ah yes my mistake, that’s what I meant. I did some reading last night and discovered the layout was a little odd. Still trying to get used to it.

So when I go into the mapping in the options, I should just set it up so L2 is look left, R2 is look right, and the + is rear view? Should that work?

Awesome! I have to say, I am INCREDIBLY happy with how the DFGT feels in GT Sport. Even being able to use the GT specific buttons/dial is pretty excellent.

I have to report, after the firmware upgrade., the drivehub worked amazingly well with my TX Thrustmaster wheel and my Clubsport V3 inverted pedal set on PS4 Pro. I was able to play GT Sports. This product is amazing. I think I might convince of few of the viewer watching my stream to buy one. This has literally saves me hundred's of dollars. 2 thumbs up from me.

Put about an hour into GTS using my CSR wheel, works pretty well. My only gripe is that the paddle shifters aren't being treated like L1/R1 for menu navigation, instead they confirm selection... a bit odd, but they shift properly while driving, so it's only a minor annoyance.

turn off ACL :)

and use a clutch like a real racer ;)

Question regarding the Drive Hub and the CSL for PS4.

The Drive Hub worked great with the Club Sport 2.0 and 3.0 pedals but didn't have much feel with the brakes. Upon getting the CSL and following the Fanatec recent updates it's now working prettying good in GT Sport "without" the Drive Hub. However, with the CSL PS3 can no longer be used.

Will the Drive Hub allow me to use the Fanatec CSL for the PS4 also on the PS3? I did the Drive Hub update and had good control on the buttons through the PS 3 menu. However, there was no control with the brakes or wheel.

Can someone offer an answer?

Just curious, anybody know what's happening to the controller while hooked up, is it being charged, is it running on it’s own battery?.

It will

it will charge, but bear in mind it’s a wheel now :) so there will be no notification on he dash about batteries as the as far as the console is concerned it’s a wheel with no battery...

Jonnio: It works very well and would recommend it until Fanatec can get themselves organized with Sony.

Agreed, works well and very simple to set up.

Updated the DriveHub firmware out of the box
Connected everything as per instructions
Set the wheel to PS3 then PC mode
Increased the FFB settings in game to max as it felt light on default
Fanatec CSR/H pattern shifter/Clubsport Pedals working on GT Sport = :D

I was unsure if this would work at first, but a secondary controller can be connected to the PS4 in the usual way and work alongside the wheel.

I bought the Drivehub a few weeks ago but haven’t got to try it out yet. One thing I would love to see is support for AccuForce Pro’s. I have one that I use for my PC racing and with the GIMX adapter I can use the wheel to drive Forza 7 on the PC and GTS on the PS4. It would be nice to have a clean little setup like the DriveHub and be able to use the AccuForce and separate pedals like the HPP pedals I have on the PS4 and XB1.

Anybody know if it is even possible?

Using the drive hub with the G27 does the dpad work on the shifter as expected to navigate the menus or will I need a 2nd DS4?

All the buttons on my G25's shifter work fine, including the dpad (so same goes for the G27 I guess).

What settings are you guys using (on the wheel and in the game) with GTSport

I'm CSW user (using L mode obviously) and for me it seems that ffb got stronger since the beta? Especially the centering force. Setting torque to 1 does not change much.

Just a quick question for those in the know please.
Would I be able to use a thrustmaster tx and plug a fanatec clubsport handbrake in to the accessory port via the fanatec usb adaptor and it work with compatible games on ps4 and xbox that support the analog handbrake.
I would also use a th8a so would plug both into a hub then into the accessory port.

Thanks

Partial yes...
The handbrake can be blended no problem...
On Xbox the handbrake will work on all brands but some games don’t treat it analog... I can’t recall which
On PS4 only fanatec have a handbrake and although we can add the handbrake to the g29 input, the games won’t acknowledge it
