I'm also not seeing much difference, plus I haven't seen the firmware update yet. To work it would need to be an option before using the Share button, as it's the share button that is compressing the image in the first place...

(Final part ) now driven all the PS+ cars..now for a break and to work on the Elite challenges! I need to find 2-3 seconds off.. I'm finding the Japan race track02 in the Mazzanti tough going as I keep spinning hitting the kerb will try some new race lines later. (does everyone get the same challenges at the same levels?)

@torque99 Pretty sure I had the same level 62 elite challenge so I think they are the same for everyone.

Thanks Nato the only reason I say is some people on much higher levels don't seem to have the lower tt time required on some of the challenges. Saying that my internet has been playing up so the leaderboard might not be up to date!..Respect and Great driving from any Elite drivers 👍

@torque99 Yes, I had the same one at 62 and recently passed it. Now I'm stuck at the next one (Audi RS6 Avant on bumpy Scotland track).

@3stripes are the png's unedited from the PS4 share? If so comparing those at full size with the jpegs there is a massive improvement in quality which is exactly what I was hoping for with the introduction of the png format.
Also has the system software 3.0 update gone live now? Wasn't available a couple of hours ago when I checked (away from PS4 now).

Game machanism is like Peace Walker (played it around 60+ hours on my PSP), but really improved in many areas (character control, open world, visuals etc. etc.) so just like You're saying, I will occupy MGSV for some time

Yup. Took them on PS, exported to USB and directly uploaded tot Flickr. 0 editing done.
The size difference is pretty big (jpg vs png), and there are some visible improvements in darker areas. It's nice that you can change the formats on the go from the share menu.

I was selected for the PS software beta with my US (secondary, rarely used) account. Also register on the European PS site with the primary account, but got nothing from them.

That's great, the png will definitely be a larger file but the image quality is well worth it, especially as you say in the darker areas. From your images on Flickr there was noticeably less colour banding with nice smooth transitions from light to dark. Can't wait for 3.0 to be officially released.

You see the difference if you zoom in (look at the trees or the edge of the car/text, you will notice some "artifacts") or load them up to twitter (it compress the compressed jpegs even more). JPEGs look like **** now
