great pictures @MeanElf 👍

Question: I see that you rarely take pictures with high shutterspeeds and that you mostly go for a static "look". Why is that?
True indeed :) Depending on the conditions, the shadows of the wheels seems to fade back too much if I add a lot of motion blur, so I generally only go as far as a 500th, with the occasional 250th and an extremely rare 60th if the conditions are right. I hardly ever go for the full-on 30th unless (again) I am happy with the effect and don't feel that the background in the image has been compromised too much.

The 8000th setting isn't really that fast, so I feel that it's a plausible 'action still' that's all really.

EDIT: thanks by the way :D

Thanks for your explanation 👍 Didn't notice those shadows of the wheels would fade. I'll pay more attention when I try it out. I'll work the opposite way arround. I rarely come above 500 when taking shots and I work with a focal distance between 2 and 13 most of the time.

30th very low and backgrounds don't like it at all. There comes a strange "wash-out" on the backgrounds. It's difficult to find good use for this shutterspeed.

I find it very hard to get a good picture without "movement" because it's something I rarely work with. Think I need to explore those undiscovered depths ;)

Well in fact I have one from yesterday with a shutterspeed of 8000th

@sems4arsenal If you are talking about flickr URL, you have to open the picture, then just below it, in the right corner there are 4 white icons. One of them is the share icon (like and arrow pointing to the right). Press it, go to BBCode, chose the size 800x450 and copy the link, then just paste it here. That's it! 👍

Time for more car shots, yellow McLaren 650 S Coupe photo session. I picked up this car, because few days ago I saw 650 S in my city, but a Spider version, also yellow (and with yellow side panels/rear spoiler). Insane looking machine and first McLaren that I've ever seen in my life 👍 Track/weather/time/filter are inspired by my recent twitter background made from almost one year old DC picture :)

There was too many for one post so here is SLS (ptII) Love this track, car and weather. I think I had the environments down too low on the sound now back up at +3db I think and the storms are much more lively than the engine :)
