That 3rd elite event with the Audi RS6 Avant in Scotland is starting to annoy me - somehow everyone's always faster than me on the straights cuz I doubt I'm losing 4+ seconds on the stupid corners...

Any tips?

I'm struggling too and have been battling by tenths and hundredths of a second to get down to 1:32.223.

I am trying to keep my speed up through the corners but it's that damn jump that is crippling me. I had hoped to update my previous thread with a run-down of what is required, but at this rate, I won't be able to unless any of the faster drivers care to update me via PM and I can then edit that in.

I wonder if we can get @Moto54 and the crew of fast drivers in on these to work their magic.

EDIT: I se that the Evolution studios account has just logged a 1:37.244 - hell, if they can't do it, who was setting the time in the first place? ;)

EDIT 2: They've just flung a new time up at 1:31.452...making it look so easy :lol:

EDIT 3: and down it goes again...

Managed to get it on my 3rd attempt. Uploading the footage now. 👍

When the new pack is released, I would put the Ferrari and the mclarens against the zonda r to see which one is faster(I didn't unlock the 599xx because my driver level is too low.

I think Evolution did about three or four laps - still, pretty good going. Me, I think I've done around twenty attempts so far :lol:

Similar to Munnar, the last section of the track really is a 'Jesus takes the wheel' section where even the slighest incorrect angle can cost you around 0.5 seconds...its an absolute pain! On the opposite side of the spectrum, the combination of tight corners at the bottom of the track are hard to maintain speed through because of the size of the car.

For the last few weeks i'd lost my mojo,my tt times were average,i just wasn't feeling it at all.Then along comes the update and i spent about an hour wrestling that Mazzanti around asagari until i just got under the time.Next up,the Audi/Scotland combo.....oh lord,my lap was 9seconds off the pace and after about an hour i was still 4 seconds down!!
At this point i decided out of desperation to try chase cam(i always use dash or bonnet) at which point i noticed something weird....my brakelights were on all the time.Quick controller change,2 laps later target beaten!
So it's a long shot,but if you're struggling,make sure that DS4 isn't plotting to make you look like a Driveclub sunday driver.

I think my old controller was doing something similar, but I noticed it in Watch Dogs. Aiden would turn toward the 'camera' for no reason and start to stroll across the street, oblivious of traffic. Used to cause some interesting pile-ups as a result. I wish I'd bothered to save them :)

I'm to within 0.4 now and that is the most frustrating part, an improved sector time often gets lost on that long right-hander. Kept me busy though :cool:

Turns out that's what was happening to me, my times were not what I'm used to in Driveclub... When using R2/L2 configuration for throttle/brake the best time I was able to get was 1:31.1xx as soon as I read your comment here, I changed my configuration to Cross/Square for throttle/brake after only my second lap I was able to achieve 1:29.2xx...

I knew I was really good at this game, but yesterday I began to doubt myself - turns out it's not me but the controller. Although now I'm not sure whether there's a glitch in the game which slows people down or it's just my R2/L2 sticks buttons :/

I've just been doing that haha - getting into global top 10's on every track! But it's a little tough because Cross/Square aren't sensitive it's either on/off so on twisty bits I'm still faster using R2/L2
 
Since we aren't going to have private lobbies for another while, I think it would be a good idea to have some sort of 'meet up' in the existing lobby system...it would be limited by the size of the party but it could still be fun. 👍
 
The fxxk sound amazing inside of the car but outside, it sound like evolution studios added race exhaust on the car. It is not as accurate as the real car.
 
Yeah it is. I thought it sounds like evo studios has installed gran turismo's race exhaust into that Ferrari instead of the car having it's standard exhaust.

After trying out the X accelerate and square for braking, thought I'd try it out on a earlier TT, the Mini adventure and 2nd try I just took over 3 seconds off my best lap time..☺️☺️

Not sure why but it seems to work..cheers for the tip
 
Since progress on the idea keeps stalling a bit, would anyone be up for having a GTP Time Trial series, I remember someone else here saying something about it but it never came to be(Im drawing a blank as to who said about it...). I was thinking a 8 week tournament with a time trial each week that would be activated from a specifically created TT PSN profile that everyone would add. The series' would be done via a rankings based points distribution similar to popular real-life motorsports(1st - 15 pts, 2nd - 13 pts etc).
